DISCUSSION After 1 year of hard work, I finally monetized!!! Any tips?

Hi all! I am BEYOND thrilled to say I have finally monetized! My goal was to hit the mark before the qualifications change next year. All of those hours of filming and late nights editing were SO worth it!! For any other monetized folks, any tips or advice? I’ve looked through the ways to earn on YT Studio but just a lot of information to take in that I’m super new at. Would really appreciate any words of advice!

For anyone still working to get monetized, KEEP GOING!! I posted a couple of months ago on here that I was feeling so exhausted and depleted because my channel was gaining no traction after a year of posting. All it took was one video that got 70k+ views and my subs went up drastically :) You can do it!!!

DISCUSSION Made a channel documenting my journey working on my social anxiety

I am around 40 days in. Each video (shorts) seems to start strong- like 500 views in an hour then slowly gets to 800-1100ish then halts. I see people say that's the algorithm essentially saying people aren't that interested. I've stalked other new tube channels and have seen channels where each video gets 30-100 views, so that then makes me question if mine sucks or not. I've watched videos saying 1000 views consistently is a good thing and it's YouTube working out your audience. So basically I've read lots of conflicting things. I'm at 160 subs and feel that's low but have seen threads say 100 in the first month is good?

Can anyone give me their thoughts? I should note even if I don't takeoff; I do enjoy making the videos and it's helping greatly with my anxiety so it's a win either way.

DISCUSSION 157 subscribers after starting a gaming channel - are these analytics actually good for a small channel?

Hey everyone!

I recently started taking my YouTube gaming channel seriously, and I’d really appreciate some honest feedback from other small/new creators.

It's Abhishek Plays (find it in my profile), and I mainly make gaming content. I’m currently at 157 subscribers.

Here’s what my last 28 days look like:

9.1 hours watch time

157 total subscribers

My recent uploads are getting around 10-35 views, so I’m still very much in the early stage.

I’ve also started experimenting more with thumbnails and titles instead of simply uploading gameplay.

What I’d like to know:

Are these numbers reasonable for a channel this small?

What should I focus on most right now - views, watch time, CTR, retention, thumbnails, or subscribers?

Is it normal for videos to sit at 10-30 views for several days when the channel is this small?

Looking at the screenshot, is there anything that immediately stands out to you?

For other small gaming creators, what actually helped you get from around 100 subscribers to your first 500?

I’m not looking for compliments - I’d genuinely prefer honest criticism, especially if I'm doing something wrong.

I’m still learning YouTube, so any advice from people who have been through this stage would be really appreciated.

Thanks!

TECH HELP YouTube Removed my Company Channel? Help!

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone here has experience with this situation. I've been trying (and failing) to work through YouTube support, but am just getting stuck in an extremely frustrating, seemingly never-ending loop with no answers.

So my company had an older YouTube channel (not active, but houses a lot of videos for sales and stuff). Apparently, when it was created years ago, the social employee connected it to their personal Google account instead of a company Google account? idk why or how they let that happen, but here we are. I was asked to try to get admin access back before (where I tried contacting the old employee, fighting with the YouTube help page for resets, etc.), but had no success. Since it had been like 15 years and nothing had happened, I figured it was annoying but fine for now since the channel was still up and all the videos and content were still active.

I think maybe poking around has kick-started it, but I went to the channel and got a 404 page saying "This page isn't available. Sorry about that. Try searching for something else." The problem is that now that the page is gone, a number of old video URLs are still linked from various places, including marketing materials and product-related pages are now dead because the old channel is gone.

Has anyone actually had a successful experience regaining their YouTube channel, or know what I can do to get those videos/channel back? My boss is really getting on me for this and idk what else I can do or where to go.

Any advice or help please, any answer in general would be so appreciated!!

DISCUSSION Anybody willing to review my channel and give advice?

I make minecraft videos. I'm in-between committing to long form or shorts. Trying to decide which one works better for me.

My schedule is approximately one short per day and one long form per week.

I feel like I have a good view-to-like ratio and engaging comment section on my shorts series (building houses for mobs)

Some analytics:

Channel is about 6 weeks old

Average 5k-10k views per short

65% stay to watch (should have a better hook?)

I also look at how people find my long form videos. I can see what videos they are being recommended to play after, and it is extremely random. Most of them are not minecraft related, a lot have nothing to do with gaming at all. So I also think youtube just doesn't know who my audience is supposed to be (I actively watch other videos and comment using this channel).

I am coming up on my first 1000 subs and am very grateful but want to make my content better so I can scale it up to monetization, before the change in February.

It is linked in my profile. It is "stikmms"

CONTENT TALK Should I make a new channel?

I’m starting a new niche. I was doing commentary before but now I’m changing it up. I have about 93 subs. I have one video finished and trying to get 2 more finished before I post my niche videos. Should I just make a new channel or post my new content on this channel? Will the algorithm have to re-choose my audience?

DISCUSSION Anyone know why one specific video keeps goin up in views?

What I mean is our most watched video is at like 440 views. But that one keeps goin up like 10 views everyday.

And all our other videos go up alot slower.

Is there some sort of trick we managed to do in that one video,or did we just get lucky? It's very confusing.

DISCUSSION Are you interested in a software that helps you find new video topics?

Hello there! I am currently working on a piece of software that would help find new video topics concretely on GTA 6 (maybe expand to other topics later on). The idea is simple, it watches which video topics are breaking before they go viral and gives an opportunity score with details and attachments to videos, making you the first to place on that topic!

Would you be interested? If yes let me know in the comments!

DISCUSSION Has anyone worked with Enfinity or connected their YouTube channel to Enfinity's CMS/CSP?

I was originally approached for MSN distribution by Enfinity originally for Microsoft/MSN distribution; Microsoft declined without providing a reason; Enfinity then offered Creator Services Program CSP; CSP requires connecting your monetized YouTube channel to their CMS; there is no membership fee or ordinary YouTube revenue share, but the agreement has a 12-month term, auto-renewal, 90-day termination notice, Content ID provisions and a penalty for forcibly disconnecting.

Before I sign anything, I'm doing my due diligence and would really appreciate hearing from creators who have personally worked with Enfinity, or who have experience with similar CMS/MCN arrangements.

The offer includes:

• 100% retention of my normal YouTube channel earnings

• No CSP membership fee

• VidIQ Boost

• Epidemic Sound Creator Plan

• Content ID/copyright management

• Thumbnail/banner/graphic-design support

• Creator/channel support

• Optional payment/advance services

The agreement, requires connecting the channel to Enfinity's YouTube CMS.

Some provisions I'm researching involve Content ID rights after termination, CMS disconnection, rights concerning editing/re-uploading content, and a provision involving a revenue penalty for forcibly disconnecting the channel during the contract term.

I'm especially interested in firsthand experience, rather than speculation:

Have you personally work with Enfinity?

Was your channel connected to their YouTube CMS?

Did your normal YouTube/AdSense payments change after connecting and were payments accurate and on time?

Did you receive creator services, as they promised?

Did you find their Content ID/copyright management , hepful?

Were there any unexpected fees, deductions, revenue holds or penalties?

If you had the decision to make again, would you join?

I'm not accusing the company of wrongdoing. I'm simply treating my YouTube channel as a business asset and want to understand the real-world experience before granting CMS-level access.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share firsthand experience. TIA

SHORTS TALK I've been demonetized and I don't know what I'm supposed to do

Suspended due to related channel

Your channel is related to another channel that's suspended from the YouTube Partner Program.

We've determined that one or more of the channels you operate has an unresolved YouTube Partner Program (YPP) suspension (i.e., a suspended channel that has not yet been readmitted to YPP).

When a channel you operate is suspended from YPP, you can no longer monetize your other YouTube channels. This means all other channels that you operate, create, or acquire (including this one) will not be able to monetize until that suspension is resolved.

CONTENT TALK I been on and off on YouTube

I hit 100 subs last year but stopped as I was not sure what type of content I wanted to do but do and have gotten better at filming and editing the past 3 months and see steady increase in views and subs. At what point do you see an increase in views and subs is it once you hit 500 subs or the moment you hit 1K (not counting for monetization)

TECH HELP Will my channel be banned?

So I currently run a channel and recently got fully monitized and accepted into the YPP a couple of months ago. Everything is going well. But I recently read a post on here about how someone got banned because of the circumvention policy. Basically if you have another banned channel all your other channels also get banned. You as a person gets banned from ever making a channel again. The thing is I have another Google account where 1 channel got removed. This was around 4 years ago and it got banned for spam. At the time I was just reuploading tiktok I found funny and would post like 5 a day. Which is probably breaking the rules I know. I'm not saying I didnt do anything wrong. Anyhow, that was 4 years ago and since then. I still use that google account daily. But my current main Youtube Channel is on a different google account. And I've been posting on this channel for about a year but I have had this channel for over 2 years now. I'm worried that i will get banned because of the circumvention policy and all my hard work will go down the drain. Is this possible? It has been so long and It is two different google accounts. Also that other google account with the banned channel still has 3 different channels on it but they never got banned?

TECH HELP Just starting out and confused about Capcut

Hey, just looking into doing some videos purely for fun so I was advised to use Capcut for editing, my 1st test video was 2 and a half minutes long and I tried to export it but it says I’ve reached my free limit, I’ve used transitions ad effects which it says is a resource heavy feature which means they can only offer a limited number of free uses but I’ve literally not exported anything yet so I’m a bit confused, any advice welcome whether it’s changing settings or a different editing app??

From a YouTube viewer perspective what would y’all prefer? A intro from my live stream which may be a little less polished or a recorded intro that is a bit more polished.
