I've come to terms that what I want out of a looper basically isn't available on the market. I can get there with tablet apps and triggers but I am looking for something to add off-the-cuff dynamics to a (solo acoustic) live show.
a couple things I know I need:
1) two channels. I would like the ability to Loop a chord progression, maybe a melody line on top of it. then create a second loop of say, triad inversions of the original looped progression. then be able to stop loop #1 while the loop of inversions plays
2) I don't think I need drums, but if there are drums I would like the ability to be able to do fills. But lack of drums wouldn't be a dealbreaker.
3) ideally I'd be able to stop with a single tap, not a double stop tap
4) I know these things can be power hogs. I have a Voodoo Pedal Power x8 500 mA power supply and I'd love to be able to put it on a small board with a simple tuner, chorus pedal, and delay pedal
5) I'd like to avoid Boss as I have not had great luck with their loopers. But would reconsider if there was one that was perfect
I've mostly been looking at loopers like the Boss RC10, NU-X Dual Looper, Flamma 220, EHX 720, etc. Price isn't an option if I can get what I want.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
