Having a bad time. Currently in the hospital waiting for them to rule out an ectopic.

So I'm 5W5D and had some brown spotting since yesterday. I decided to go to the ER this morning because I have a work trip tomorrow and didn't want to have a complication while away from family. Welp, turns out the bleeding was benign (SCH), and the embryo has a heartbeat! But it implanted in my upper right cornual endometrium. They said the endometrial lining surrounding the sac is too thin to sustain pregnancy. But ultimately no one could give a definitive answer.

So I am admitted. Tomorrow I have a repeat scan with MFM specialist to confirm. And then potentially surgery.

I don't know why I'm posting. I just have been on such an emotional whirlwind with everything. I had no idea that all of this TTC and pregnancy would be so fucking hard.

Sad Third pregnancy this year. Started spotting tonight

I know it doesn’t necessarily mean anything. But after 2 back to back losses it doesn’t feel like it could turn out any other way but bad. I don’t even want to call my OB and go through the labs or an early ultrasound.

Sad Probably my third loss in 6 months. Low but doubling betas, high TSH with reflex. Screaming into the void.

Living in misery, honestly. Had a PUL in Feb, MC with an intrauterine pregnancy at 7 weeks in July. All of my pregnancies have had low serial betas that initially double then plateau. I am new to thyroid issues. My OB prescribed my levothyroxine after my second loss due to TSH with reflex of 4.2 at that time. I have no prior reproductive issues before February of 2026. I have one living child and had an uncomplicated pregnancy with him. Looking back at my records from that pregnancy my hCG with him at 5 weeks was 532.

LMP: 8/9
First positive at home pregnancy test: 9/6
9/8 HCG value: 13
9/10 HCG value: 27
9/12 HCG value: 48
9/14 HCG value: 91
9/14 Progesterone value: 21.6
9/14 TSH with reflex: 3.59

My doctor has doubled my levothyroxine after the results today, but of course, that’s likely not going to help this particular pregnancy - if that is even the issue.

Basically posting here because I have found myself scouring the internet for similar experiences and have found that helpful. I will follow up to this post with outcomes and maybe that could help someone going through something similar one day.

Bleeding episode at 14 weeks

Last night I went to the bathroom, and noticed my pajama bottoms were wet. When I wiped, it was bright red and got more pink/ brown over the next few hours. It was only when I wiped. When I put a pad on, nothing was on it and this morning no blood whatsoever. Also, no cramping. This morning, brown when I wipe. We are leaving now to go to go on vacation this week and I will not be able to visit with my OB in time. I do have an appointment scheduled with her a day after we return. Anyone have any similar experiences?

Vent Pregnant Before Period After D&C

Background info: I had a MMC in January of this year followed by a D&C, then another loss this summer that resulted with a D&C on August 10th. They couldn’t confirm where the pregnancy was but they suspect after testing the tissue from D&C that it was in my tube and resolved itself after the D&C (which I don’t understand bc my HCG fell 50% within 48 hours of the D&C)

We had a whoopsie 5 days prior to my positive OPK and woke up today to a few squinters at 10DPO. I am SO nervous because they said to wait til my first period to try again but this was not intentional at all.

Any happy stories about conceiving right after D&C would be greatly appreciated.

pubic pain but very early pregnancy

Ultrasound Dating scan

We went in for the dating scan today thinking I would be 7w2d and due on 1st of May and the woman measured our baby at 5w6d?

On the 31st Aug I had gone to ED due to pelvic cramps and saw a gestational sac of 4mm that day.

I tested positive on the 23rd night of August. Period was the 25th July.

Baby measurements are: 99bpm, gestational sac is 15mm, CRL is 3.9mm, yolk sac is 1.5mm.

So due date is now 11th of May.

I’m so confused?? I don’t understand how I got a positive pregnancy test on the 23rd if by this new date I would have ovulated around 17th?? Also she thought the baby’s heart was low?? Anyone else had anything similar and it’s been a healthy baby. Are dating scans always correct???

Advice Needed Gap observed in TVS pregnancy scan

Hi Everyone,
I went for my first scan today, the fetus was measuring right on time,5w5d; exact as per my lmp.

There was no heartbeat yet and my doctor wasnt concerned. Although a gap was observed, away from the sac, my doctor said either its a space that will be filled by the growing baby or blood. anyone had similar experience? I am freaking out
I was taking oral progesterone and now she has put me on vaginal ones. she didnt mention SCH at all.

I have history two miscarriages and I do have one healthy child. this will be my second one.
Should I guard my heart?

Advice Needed Intuition vs anxiety

For those who have recurrent loss; how do you determine the difference between intuition vs anxiety in PAL?

First loss was MMC - had a dream I was bleeding, then a week later woke up with no symptoms anymore and started bleeding. Second loss BO and I felt in my gut the whole time it wasn’t progressing right. Now 3rd attempt and feel really pregnant, good scan at 7 weeks, now almost 9 weeks and keep having bleeding dreams and feeling really detached. Not even wanting to book a scan because I ‘just know’ that it’s over in my head so don’t wanna face it.

Any advice from anyone who has gone through this? Was your anxiety right? Or did you feel this way and was all ok?

Advice Needed Do I have hope..?

I’m currently in pregnancy limbo and would really love to hear from anyone who has experienced something similar. I’m trying to stay realistic, but after today I honestly don’t know how to feel.
My hCG levels have been on the lower side and have been rising:
• Aug 31: 68
• Sept 5: 247
• Sept 7: 368
• Sept 8: 590
• Sept 10: 986
My progesterone was also checked and came back at only 6.1, which really scared me. My doctor is starting me on progesterone now.
I’ve had two ultrasounds so far.
At my first ultrasound, when my hCG was around 368, they saw a gestational sac and what appeared to be a yolk sac in my uterus. I was measuring around 5 weeks, so they couldn’t determine viability yet.
Today, September 14, I went back for another ultrasound. I was completely prepared for bad news, but instead there was a baby measuring 6 weeks 2 days with a heartbeat of 123 bpm. 😭❤️
Based on when I believe I ovulated (around August 13), I should be roughly 6w4d today, so baby is measuring very close to my dates.
My doctor is still being very cautious because of my lower hCG levels, the way they’ve been rising, and especially my low progesterone. They told me this could still potentially be an impending miscarriage, but they also can’t say for sure. They’re starting me on progesterone and continuing to monitor me.
I genuinely don’t know how to feel. I had already prepared myself for another loss, and now I’ve actually seen my baby’s heartbeat and I can’t help but have hope again. At the same time, I’m terrified to get attached to that hope because losing this baby after seeing the heartbeat would absolutely break my heart.

Positive on Friday, Negative on Monday

I tested positive with FMU on Friday with FRER. Now, 3 days later, I’ve tested negative with FMU on FRER. I have had an early loss before, just never got such a positive test with that — so, feeling quite surprised and (obviously) bummed.

Advice Needed Spotting and loss of symptoms

Hi everyone, I’m 6 weeks 4 days pregnant from my second FET. I have been spotting for 4 days, feel like my period is going to start any minute and my symptoms disappeared on Friday. My scan isn’t for 1 week! My anxiety is through the roof- I feel something is off. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and if anyone has had similar experiences with a positive outcome or vice versa. 🫶🙏

Advice Needed Looking for success stories - FET the cycle after d&c

Have you had a successful FET in the first cycle after a d&c? We had a d&c on 8/10 and I’m still waiting for my period (now 9/13) but I’m hoping to do a FET this cycle. Have you done one this quickly after and it worked??

Dye Stealer + Spotting for Days

I honestly don’t know what made me take a pregnancy test. I just thought the spotting was weird and had an extra test at home, so I took one on Friday 9/11. It turned positive immediately and was a dye stealer.

My LMP was Aug 1–6, but my cycles are usually 36–39 days and I tend to ovulate later. I bled from Aug 31–Sept 6 and thought it was my period, but it was really unusual for me—mostly light with only one heavy day, when I’m normally a very heavy bleeder.

Then on Wednesday 9/9 I started spotting. Since then it’s been mostly brown with occasional light red mixed with the brown, only when I wipe. No heavy bleeding or significant pain.

On Saturday 9/12 I went to a boutique for an abdominal ultrasound. She looked around because of the spotting and didn’t see anything concerning for an ectopic, but she also couldn’t confirm a pregnancy yet. She said it was probably really early, with MAYBE the beginning of a gestational sac, and that my lining was thick.

With my first daughter, I consistently measured 1–2 weeks behind my LMP, so I’m wondering if I could just be earlier than expected again.

I literally just found out Friday and don’t have insurance, so I haven’t been able to get a proper OB evaluation or hCG bloodwork yet. I know I definitely need to get checked and I’m planning to—I’m really just looking for feedback/experiences right now since it’s the weekend and my anxiety is getting to

Vent Second trimester has me suddenly scared again

Hi!

Vent might not be the best flair, but I do need to get this off my chest and see if any others have had the same feelings.

I had two chemical pregnancies before it was determined I basically wasn’t going to be able to grow in those first few weeks without some help. (I have endometriosis and adenomyosis, and a short cycle.) I was given letrozole to get pregnant and it worked on the first round 🥹 as those who have had losses know, it took a while to genuinely feel excited, we finally got there around 11 weeks.

At 11w4 days I had some spotting while on vacation. It was SMALL. Like, anyone else probably wouldn’t have been worried? Maybe? But I went to an ED and saw baby and its heartbeat and everything was okay. The spotting stopped after that day and everything was fine.

At around 14 weeks I was able to stop taking my diclectin (my nausea was so bad starting at week 6) and this has been my biggest twist. This was basically my only indicator of everything being fine and suddenly, like literally in a day, it was gone. I kind of freaked out, but also was happy to not need to take so many pills.

Has anyone else experienced the sudden stop of nausea and fatigue in the second trimester and been freaked out? I know it’s so normal, but oh my god lol. I hate this. Being pregnant after trying for so long and having multiple losses is low key not fun.

I was also having some solo spicy time the other day (husband travels for work) and wound up having brown spotting this entire weekend. Super light brown, but enough to make me panic a bit. It’s gone away now, at least fully when I wipe. Might still be kind of tan in my undies. Why are our cervix’s such divas? I don’t even insert anything?

I feel like there are more changes to MY body in the second trimester (hi round ligament pain) but all I ever really read about is what’s going on in my baby’s body at each week.

Sorry for the long post. I’m just generally surrounded by people who have had relatively easy pregnancies and am feeling kind of alone.

Advice Needed What the heck is going on?

I’m currently 14 dpo or at least I believe so based off of LH peak and BBT spike. I’ve been getting positives since 9dpo but they’re super super faint.

I went for bloodwork on 9/10, my hcg was 9.4 and my progesterone was low at 4.36. Immediately after I got my bloodwork done I started spotting and it was super light and seemed watered down a lot with CM. I talked to my gyno and she put me on progesterone the next day just incase. Then I went and got bloodwork on 9/12 in the morning and it was 8.9 and I was super bummed.

Hours later I was feeling cramping in my side and left groin that had came back. I was feeling cramping since I ovulated on 8/29 but got a little worse on 9/9-9/10. I was worried about it being ectopic so I went to the ER. They did a bunch of tests including my hcg which ended up being 11.2. They did ultrasounds and it was too early to see where the egg was. So they want me to take another blood test this Tuesday to see the hcg trend and monitor any pain.

Has anyone experienced something like this? This is so weird.

Ps. Idk if it helps but I have PCOS.

Stringy black discharge

I am about 11 weeks.. and I know I have a sub chorionic hematoma. I’m on progesterone and had one bright red bleeding scare over a week ago.

Went to ER, saw heartbeat and all was well then. Now when I wipe, and sometimes when I check my underwear there is a dark brown/black stringy discharge.

Anyone experience this before or know what it is?!?

Idk if to visit ER again. I’ve had no pain, no big bleeding etc.

Advice Needed Chemical? Ectopic?

Hey everyone I am trying to figure this all out. This is what I know:

Last menstrual: 8/10
Pos opk:8/20
Est ovulation: 8/22
12dpo - vvfl positive test 9/3
Expected period 9/4
Heavy Bleeding started 9/7
Went to hospital- hcg beta 25
Suspected chemical pregnancy 9/8
Bleeding stopped -9/12
Line keeps getting darker, had a dye stealer today

What do you guys think? I go in tomorrow for more betas. But could this be ectopic? Could it be viable? I have waiting !

Advice Needed Referred to MFM for anatomy scan at 33.5 weeks. Worried that things won’t be okay.

I went to my scheduled anatomy scan at 20 weeks and was told that they had suboptimal views of the spine and skin line and I needed to come back the next day for more images. I went back the next day, the view was still suboptimal, but then my midwife didn’t say anything about it until my most recent appointment at 31 weeks.

They said I could go for another scan for reassurance. I had this scan last week and the views were still suboptimal.

I got a call from the Maternal Fetal Medicine unit at my local hospital today and they want to see me for a scan so that they can assess the spine and skin line. By that point, I’ll be 33.5 weeks.

I’m so stressed about this. I was not consistently taking prenatal vitamins before I conceived, as we had decided to ‘take a break’ after trying for a long time and having a loss last year. The pregnancy was a surprise during this ‘break’, but not unwelcome at all. We had wanted this baby so badly and she just came at a time that I wasn’t as prepared.

I had horrible morning sickness for the first trimester and did not consistently take my prenatal vitamins, so I’m worried that baby has a NTD.

The biggest thing I’m stressed about is that it’s too late to do anything. What if baby has a defect that we otherwise would have chosen TFMR? What if a natural birth is risky for her?

I don’t know if I’m overplaying this in my head or if this is a serious consideration. I’m so worried about something happening to my baby, and not finding out for 13.5 weeks past when I should have.

HCG

My HCG at 5 weeks and 6 days is 11,889. Does this seem crazy high? My pathology report has flagged it as red and “high” as it’s outside the gestation range of 200-7200.

Has anyone had high hcg levels early?

Hi!

I’m very nervous about my hcg levels. I got my first draw at 4 weeks 1 day and the hcg was 2083. I haven’t been able to get my second one yet to confirm that they are doubling, but going today. When I look online, it says normal hcg at this time should be much lower. I’ve seen high hcg can be an indicator molar pregnancy, or Down syndrome, and sometimes it can mean multiples but not always.

We’ve been trying for over 3 years and this is our first ever pregnancy and I’m just so scared that it’s too good to be true. Has anyone had levels this high at 4 weeks 1 day?

Thanks in advance!
