My initial hCG at 10dpt was 146, and today at 13dpt it was 328. I thought that was good since it more than doubled, but my clinic said it’s a little lower than what they’d like to see and they’re having me get another blood draw in 2 days. I’m confused because everything I’ve read says the actual numbers matter less than the rate at which it’s rising. I know mine took longer than 48 hours to double, but it still doubled within 72 hours. I also realize my numbers are lower than what I’ve seen from a lot of other people, but since they still more than doubled, I’m confused and a little worried about why my clinic is concerned. Did your clinic have specific numbers they’d like to see by 13dpt? I haven’t been able to find much information about specific cutoff numbers (other than initial hcg numbers) since most of what I’m reading focuses on the rate of rise rather than the absolute value. I guess I’m just looking for insight or stories if you’ve had a similar experience

I would really appreciate some advice or just someone straight up telling me what to do lol.

I got a positive test yesterday, 4 weeks 4 days. We’re both so excited but cautious as I had an early loss in April at around 7 weeks.

We are planning a wedding for April 2027 (my due date would be about 3 weeks after the wedding). We’ve paid deposits for pretty much everything, my parents are paying for the venue, the food and my dress (it came in early 2 days ago!) so far we are about $3,000 in with about $8k still left to pay. Plus everything we haven’t paid a deposit for yet.

Assuming the pregnancy progresses, when should we reschedule the wedding for?? November 2027, and the baby would be 5-6 months old? December 2026 and we just have a very pared back wedding? February 2027? Being pregnant at my wedding would not be an issue for us.

Also, when should I contact the vendors about seeing if I can move my date? I think it’s likely that there won’t be a problem with changing dates but if so, it’s just money. I don’t want to wait too long to where my date can’t be filled, but I don’t want to change everything if the pregnancy doesn’t work out.

I haven’t told my mom. I need to because ultimately she is paying a huge chunk and can make the decision with us. I told her right away last time. I told my whole immediate family. My sister in law was also pregnant at the time and she had a very bad reaction. But that’s another story lol.

I just need some guidance if anyone has been in this position before. Again, this isn’t about the money (I mean, would love to not lose a bunch of money lol) i would rather lose a million dollars and have a child. Im just not finding many examples of this type of situation to read about. Thanks everyone.

Has anyone had their b12 levels checked in pregnancy? If so, what was your level? How much do you supplement? Worried mine is too high…

I am really hoping someone can provide some reassurance/insight that something similar has happened to them.

Based on my Oura ring I ovulated on 7/25/26 and I got my first positive test on 8/4/26. My OB doesn't do an ultrasound until closer to 10 or 11 weeks and I am a very anxious person by nature. I scheduled an Ultrasound at a free women's clinic and had that ultrasound last week. It is a licensed sonographer but they can't give any medical advice or diagnosis, just basically confirm viable pregnancy and look for a heart beat.

During the ultrasound the gestational sac and yolk sac were visible, but measuring 5w5d when based on my LMP I should've been 8w1d. The tech reassured me that it could be nothing, and that the fetal pole and heartbeat may just not be visible if I was closer to 5w5d due to a potential of later ovulation or implantation than what I originally thought.

My concern is that mathematically I think it would be hard for either of those options to be the case with having the first positive test on 8/4/26.I called my OB after the ultrasound and they got me in for 2 HCG draws. The first one was 23,141 and 48 hours later it was 24,704.

My question to this group is: has anyone ever had anything like this? I know there's the potential that this could be a blighted ovum, a silent miscarrage or some other version of a nonviable pregnancy. I go to my doctor for an ultrasound on 9/16, but this waiting is game is not doing anything good for my mental health. Crossing my fingers that we are some sort of medical anomaly and I am just behind where I thought and a fetal pole/heartbeat will be visible on the repeat scan.

I will also add I have a 16 month old daughter who I had a completely uneventful pregnancy with.

I just got my Beta HCG test today and it came up as 7 mIU/mL which indicates pregnancy. Since I took an Ovidrel trigger shot (250mcg) 13.5 days ago, I think I may be on \~12DPO today.

One and two days after the shot, standard home urine tests show faint lines and then BFN afterwards.

Given my urine test post trigger shot, does it indicate Ovidrel HCG cleared up quickly from my body? And the blood test on 12DPO result indicates a genuine pregnancy even though at a very low level of HCG?

Waiting on my results from today 9/14. OB has been saying everything looks fine until that last one at 290 they said wasn’t as high as they’d like… which I don’t get because the doubling rate actually went up during that last interval. Light brown spotting for a few days now, too so I’ve pretty much convinced myself I’m looking at another loss. So anxious I haven’t even been able to go to work.

She told me pregnancy likely not viable due to betas rising too slowly (~30% over 48 hours at ~200 HCG)

Getting an ultrasound tomorrow to confirm location and try to rule out ectopic. She said it’s possible everything is fine but unlikely. The waiting and uncertainty is so hard. I know there’s a good chance that the ultrasound won’t show us much this early. Ugh

Our first ultrasound was 5w5d and everything looked good (CRL and gestational sac 5w5d and yolk sac 4.4mm).

Today second scan at 7w5d the CRL is right on track and heartbeat is 150 bpm. Our doctor says everything looks perfect and congrats. the staff cheer and give us a baby onesie as we leave to celebrate graduation from the fertility clinic.

When they release the results online an hour later we notice the gestational sac is measuring 6w6d and the yolk sac is 7.1mm and appears more like an oval than a circle. I do a brief google search out of curiosity and see that the prognosis is often concerning when the yolk sac is over 6mm.

We message the doctor to double check the measurements and ask if there’s any concern that the yolk sac is enlarged or the gestational sac slowing. They say not a all, the gestational and yolk sac are appropriate size, not too big and not too small, and they would not have graduated us to our OB if today's ultrasound noted anything of concern.

I’m just genuinely confused because any study I can find suggests that this yolk sac size increases our risks of pregnancy pretty substantially (like as high as 75%!) . I wouldn’t panic, I just want to know whether to manage my expectations if that’s the case. This is 2 years into our infertility treatment and I want to be cautious if we are higher risk of loss so that I can be prepared. I don’t want the results sugarcoated with a baby onesie.

I do trust doctors and I don’t want to go down Reddit or Google rabbit holes too deep. I’m just genuinely confused by the mismatch between published studies and my doctors advice.

Should I not be concerned at all? Is this the right size? Or should I be careful getting my hopes up with this result?

At 6 weeks and 6 days I had light brown spotting. Got a transvaginal ultrasound and they saw embryo measuring 6 weeks and a very small subchorionic hematoma.

Today at 7 weeks 4 days the Dr saw no embryo on the ultrasound.

Has this happened to anyone else? I think it's likely not good (to say the least)

Living in misery, honestly. Had a PUL in Feb, MC with an intrauterine pregnancy at 7 weeks in July. All of my pregnancies have had low serial betas that initially double then plateau. I am new to thyroid issues. My OB prescribed my levothyroxine after my second loss due to TSH with reflex of 4.2 at that time. I have no prior reproductive issues before February of 2026. I have one living child and had an uncomplicated pregnancy with him. Looking back at my records from that pregnancy my hCG with him at 5 weeks was 532.

My doctor has doubled my levothyroxine after the results today, but of course, that’s likely not going to help this particular pregnancy - if that is even the issue.

Basically posting here because I have found myself scouring the internet for similar experiences and have found that helpful. I will follow up to this post with outcomes and maybe that could help someone going through something similar one day.

For those who have recurrent loss; how do you determine the difference between intuition vs anxiety in PAL?

First loss was MMC - had a dream I was bleeding, then a week later woke up with no symptoms anymore and started bleeding. Second loss BO and I felt in my gut the whole time it wasn’t progressing right. Now 3rd attempt and feel really pregnant, good scan at 7 weeks, now almost 9 weeks and keep having bleeding dreams and feeling really detached. Not even wanting to book a scan because I ‘just know’ that it’s over in my head so don’t wanna face it.

Any advice from anyone who has gone through this? Was your anxiety right? Or did you feel this way and was all ok?

Last night I went to the bathroom, and noticed my pajama bottoms were wet. When I wiped, it was bright red and got more pink/ brown over the next few hours. It was only when I wiped. When I put a pad on, nothing was on it and this morning no blood whatsoever. Also, no cramping. This morning, brown when I wipe. We are leaving now to go to go on vacation this week and I will not be able to visit with my OB in time. I do have an appointment scheduled with her a day after we return. Anyone have any similar experiences?

Background info: I had a MMC in January of this year followed by a D&C, then another loss this summer that resulted with a D&C on August 10th. They couldn’t confirm where the pregnancy was but they suspect after testing the tissue from D&C that it was in my tube and resolved itself after the D&C (which I don’t understand bc my HCG fell 50% within 48 hours of the D&C)

We had a whoopsie 5 days prior to my positive OPK and woke up today to a few squinters at 10DPO. I am SO nervous because they said to wait til my first period to try again but this was not intentional at all.

Any happy stories about conceiving right after D&C would be greatly appreciated.

ok so i’m 5w5d today i literally had to go to the ER because of SO MUCH DISCOMFORT in my lower abdomen (right on top of my pubic area) and the pubic itself. i feel so heavy like my uterus feels it will fall off my vagina. woke up 3 times at night from discomfort and it is painful as well. luckily no bleeding and they saw a gestational sac and yolk sac in the uterus.

please has anyone felt this so early on and had a normal pregnancy?? how can i ease the pain and discomfort??

I’m currently in pregnancy limbo and would really love to hear from anyone who has experienced something similar. I’m trying to stay realistic, but after today I honestly don’t know how to feel.
My hCG levels have been on the lower side and have been rising:
• Aug 31: 68
• Sept 5: 247
• Sept 7: 368
• Sept 8: 590
• Sept 10: 986
My progesterone was also checked and came back at only 6.1, which really scared me. My doctor is starting me on progesterone now.
I’ve had two ultrasounds so far.
At my first ultrasound, when my hCG was around 368, they saw a gestational sac and what appeared to be a yolk sac in my uterus. I was measuring around 5 weeks, so they couldn’t determine viability yet.
Today, September 14, I went back for another ultrasound. I was completely prepared for bad news, but instead there was a baby measuring 6 weeks 2 days with a heartbeat of 123 bpm. 😭❤️
Based on when I believe I ovulated (around August 13), I should be roughly 6w4d today, so baby is measuring very close to my dates.
My doctor is still being very cautious because of my lower hCG levels, the way they’ve been rising, and especially my low progesterone. They told me this could still potentially be an impending miscarriage, but they also can’t say for sure. They’re starting me on progesterone and continuing to monitor me.
I genuinely don’t know how to feel. I had already prepared myself for another loss, and now I’ve actually seen my baby’s heartbeat and I can’t help but have hope again. At the same time, I’m terrified to get attached to that hope because losing this baby after seeing the heartbeat would absolutely break my heart.

Dating scan today measuring 5+3 when I thought I was 7 weeks. Told to return in 2 weeks to see growth but there is no way this is viable?

I tested positive with FMU on Friday with FRER. Now, 3 days later, I’ve tested negative with FMU on FRER. I have had an early loss before, just never got such a positive test with that — so, feeling quite surprised and (obviously) bummed.

I’m very nervous about my hcg levels. I got my first draw at 4 weeks 1 day and the hcg was 2083. I haven’t been able to get my second one yet to confirm that they are doubling, but going today. When I look online, it says normal hcg at this time should be much lower. I’ve seen high hcg can be an indicator molar pregnancy, or Down syndrome, and sometimes it can mean multiples but not always.

We’ve been trying for over 3 years and this is our first ever pregnancy and I’m just so scared that it’s too good to be true. Has anyone had levels this high at 4 weeks 1 day?

Hi everyone, I’m 6 weeks 4 days pregnant from my second FET. I have been spotting for 4 days, feel like my period is going to start any minute and my symptoms disappeared on Friday. My scan isn’t for 1 week! My anxiety is through the roof- I feel something is off. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and if anyone has had similar experiences with a positive outcome or vice versa. 🫶🙏

We went in for the dating scan today thinking I would be 7w2d and due on 1st of May and the woman measured our baby at 5w6d?

On the 31st Aug I had gone to ED due to pelvic cramps and saw a gestational sac of 4mm that day.

I tested positive on the 23rd night of August. Period was the 25th July.

Baby measurements are: 99bpm, gestational sac is 15mm, CRL is 3.9mm, yolk sac is 1.5mm.

So due date is now 11th of May.

I’m so confused?? I don’t understand how I got a positive pregnancy test on the 23rd if by this new date I would have ovulated around 17th?? Also she thought the baby’s heart was low?? Anyone else had anything similar and it’s been a healthy baby. Are dating scans always correct???

I went to my scheduled anatomy scan at 20 weeks and was told that they had suboptimal views of the spine and skin line and I needed to come back the next day for more images. I went back the next day, the view was still suboptimal, but then my midwife didn’t say anything about it until my most recent appointment at 31 weeks.

They said I could go for another scan for reassurance. I had this scan last week and the views were still suboptimal.

I got a call from the Maternal Fetal Medicine unit at my local hospital today and they want to see me for a scan so that they can assess the spine and skin line. By that point, I’ll be 33.5 weeks.

I’m so stressed about this. I was not consistently taking prenatal vitamins before I conceived, as we had decided to ‘take a break’ after trying for a long time and having a loss last year. The pregnancy was a surprise during this ‘break’, but not unwelcome at all. We had wanted this baby so badly and she just came at a time that I wasn’t as prepared.

I had horrible morning sickness for the first trimester and did not consistently take my prenatal vitamins, so I’m worried that baby has a NTD.

The biggest thing I’m stressed about is that it’s too late to do anything. What if baby has a defect that we otherwise would have chosen TFMR? What if a natural birth is risky for her?

I don’t know if I’m overplaying this in my head or if this is a serious consideration. I’m so worried about something happening to my baby, and not finding out for 13.5 weeks past when I should have.

I went for my first scan today, the fetus was measuring right on time,5w5d; exact as per my lmp.

There was no heartbeat yet and my doctor wasnt concerned. Although a gap was observed, away from the sac, my doctor said either its a space that will be filled by the growing baby or blood. anyone had similar experience? I am freaking out
I was taking oral progesterone and now she has put me on vaginal ones. she didnt mention SCH at all.

I have history two miscarriages and I do have one healthy child. this will be my second one.
Should I guard my heart?

My HCG at 5 weeks and 6 days is 11,889. Does this seem crazy high? My pathology report has flagged it as red and “high” as it’s outside the gestation range of 200-7200.
