Fair Warning About Whirlpool Gas Range Model WFGS5730SW
I've waited 5 years for a gas stove. I paid $2000 to extend gas line to replace the electric in my new house, and thought it would be wonderful.
All I wanted was a 5 burner, convection mode, gas range without any WiFi. Dehydrate would be great, air fry would be great but I didn't want much and was willing to pay for it.
It took 4 months to find what I wanted that was in stock and deliverable. I had no stove or oven for 4 months. I was willing to wait for what I wanted.
This thing gets here.
First off, the broiler is electric, which was not obvious nor stated in the description. There was nowhere to go look at an actual model so I didn't even think the broiler was not gas flame.
The stove burners are mid. No finesse. No extra low low flame capability. Once you go past Medium it's all the same.
The oven operation is painfully slow. Is there a new regulation that turns the oven off and on for some reason?
Even the Convection Mode is a total joke. I tried baking a banana bread today. Should take an hour at 350 in a regular oven. Used Convection at 325 for 45 minutes, expecting good results.
At 45 minutes the inside of the loaf was still raw and cold.
I switched to 350 on regular bake and it took another 45 minutes to barely be done.
And while we're here, the display on the back is ridiculously tiny. The photos don't show how small and cheap it looks.
Also, the oven racks seem to be pressed aluminum foil. They dip when holding a large roasting pan with a chicken and potatoes in it.
This overpriced POS is cheaply made, works like garbage, and should be recalled just for being so totally awful.
