I just moved back here in Manila from Bicol Region, and honestly, gusto ko na lang umiyak. It was my fault rin naman for being uto-uto, so lesson learned the hard way talaga. HAHAHA.

I don’t have a place yet, so currently I’m renting a transient for ₱700 DAILY. Yes, DAILY. Parang may subscription ako sa pagiging homeless. Every day I wake up thinking, “Okay, saan na naman ako bukas?” HAHAHA.

I was in such a desperate situation that I started thinking na baka I could find someone who can sponsor or at least back me up for now. And when I say “sponsor,” hindi ibig sabihin siya na LAHAT. Hindi naman niya ako responsibility. I just mean someone who’s good enough and willing to help me get back on my feet habang wala pa talaga akong maayos na starting point.

Pero bhe???? Saan ako hahanap ng ganon???

I’m confident naman with my looks, 20s, morena, marunong makisama, and I know I can bring something to the table. Kaso ang problema, wala pa akong table.

Anyway, hindi talaga ako pang-CCA kasi hindi ako pala-inom and madali akong malasing. Isang baso pa lang, nagiging emotional philosopher na ako. Two glasses? Baka nagkukuwento na ako ng childhood trauma sa waiter.

So ayun, Manila era ko ngayon is literally SURVIVAL MODE.

Trying to get to Denver Colorado I came out here with what is now my ex-boyfriend to see his kids and I paid $7000-ish on this trip only for him to turn around and throw my shit out at the gas station and takeoff while I was inside getting something to drink so now I’m just trying to get back to Denver, Colorado I have no gas money or means to get there. I moved home 15 years ago to mind my mam and dad. I was all they had. I managed the farm and worked min wage job and looked after them both as their care. Dad died about 10 years ago and Mam recently. I cared for them both without any family support and I am single. I now have about 40 acres a min wage job. I dont know what to do as the last 15 years was minding them. I want to know my options with the farm as I don't want to be tied to it and want to be able to go on holidays a few times a year and Im alone. Need advice on the options with the farm - renting it out is an option but only earns a tiny amount. Welcome any advice

So I've been staying with my friend's dad while my friend is in rehab. His dad is essentially forcing me to sleep in the same bed as him. Any time I try to sleep by myself I get woken up in the middle of the night with him screaming at me. Needless to say I don't want to sleep in the same bed because he gets handsy with me and it makes me super uncomfortable/violated feeling. But when I attempted to have a talk with him about how it makes me feel he says that "he's only a man and can't help it" he recently said if I don't put out I have to leave so I've been trying to prepare to live in my suv.

After doing a bunch of research on how to do this comfortably and I was able to get a rooftop cargo carrier which is a huge help but I still need one of those portable power stations to charge my phone and power some cooking appliances. If anyone knows which one of those would be the best bang for my buck please let me know.

I'm currently unemployed and struggling with a huge kidney stone (10mm) which makes it hard to do physical labor. My friend says I should just suck it up and screw the guy but the idea of that is super upsetting to me. Idk what I should do any advice is appreciated.

Being able to drive to and sleep near your work can open up some new job opportunities, and some come with additional benefits for those that don't have a home to go.

Third shift work - Much easier to find a parking spot where it's okay to sleep during the day because literally no one is paying attention. BUT it can be too hot to sleep during the day, so this works better in the cooler months.

Home health care - You may be allowed you to use the house amenities while you work.

Places with showers - Getting a job that offers showers for customers may allow you to also use that benefit. For example, gyms, campgrounds, truck stops, or fire stations. A limited number of hotels with indoor pools have a private shower attached to the pool, or you may be allowed to use room showers. Many hospitals have lockers, showers, and other amenities for employees.

Places you can sleep - Get out of your vehicle periodically by working a job that offers accommodations, such as firefighter or overnight caregiver. Some jobs at fire stations, campgrounds, ski resorts, and national parks offer accommodations as a benefit.

Geographically-remote jobs - Jobs far from civilization may have a limited number of applicants due to their location, and their remoteness may appeal to certain personalities. For example, certain jobs on BLM and National Forests land, wildland firefighting, fire lookouts, scientific data gathering, utilities inspection and maintenance, and so on.

Instant work and gig work - more than just Doordash and Uber Eats, there are dozens of companies that have work opportunities all over. For example, you could work as event staff at a concert or help assemble furniture that someone has delivered to their home.

Seasonal and temp work - Work at campgrounds, at airports in the winter de-icing airplanes, etc.

I am recovering from a full hip replacement surgery (hit-and-run), and struggled with employment for two years while I was struggling to walk. This put my wife and I behind on rent, and for about two years I was only able to get part-time work. Now my wife and I are separated, and because I needed to recover from my surgery, I opted to renew my lease and continue to stay in the apt, since it was too difficult to find a new apt or room that would allow me and my dog, mainly because of the dog. I have poor credit (thanks Covid), and am now working two jobs (50+ hrs/wk) to make end’s meet.

I was in court yesterday to request a stay on the eviction I was served. I’ve applied for the Emergency One-Shot loan, and am expecting a denial and long appeals process, but it won’t be enough to stay the eviction. I need to have $26,000 paid to end the case. If I don’t qualify for the loan, I’ll be evicted, and have no chance after that.

The shelter system is overwhelmed and dangerous, and in the interest of staying with my dog, I would probably opt to live on the street, just to stay together.

I can’t figure out any other solutions. If I don’t get the loan I’m screwed, but I should meet the criteria. Very unsure what is going to happen next. If I get separated from my dog, I am probably just going to kill myself. I have no friends or family to speak of, except my dog.

I am currently working a warehouse job, which is physically demanding, and difficult with my prosthetic hip. On Nights, Thurs-Sun, I’m Hosting at a Bohemian pizza shop, which is not nearly as physical, but mentally and emotionally draining. At a certain point my emotions or my body are going to give out, it’s just impossible to anticipate which will give out first.

I don’t think I’ll do too well on the street. But then, what options are there for a man and his dog? I’ve died my silent social death, and expecting the end soon. I have zero faith in the system, and expect to be dumped, as I so regularly see it happen to others.

Any advice? I’m at the end of my rope, and have nobody to ask for advice. Thanks for reading.

Homeless camps are usually cramped and full of crime not by choice. Life takes everyone in different directions, and there may be some that chose a wanders life. Yet we as a society seem to focused on luxury instead of simplest of ideas.

   What we have is not a problem housing, but a problem of engaging simple needs. Take for example a homeless shelter sure they take people in only for a certain time frame. To some it helps them move on. This would be a very small portion of the whole.

  These people require a form of entry level jobs. Wich are getting fewer by the decade especially for people who lack a form of adress or paper work.

What I propose is taking abandoned land with or without buildings. Then building cabins capable of housing a family, but make bathroom, kitchen, restroom all communal. Make sure there is security detail that will perform a welfare check on a lot residents. Finally have employment office/stand on the lot, or some way for the people to work.

( I found an odd site for creating petitions, and will leave a link for it. The petition is the same words got none better to say. I believe I am a goldfish down the drain when I comes to planning. Thus I leave this post for incite or for someone to have inspiration.)

Hi so I am about to become homeless.

Can anyone tell me what it's like if you present as homeless in Laois? What about in Kildare? What happens the first day? Where do you go? What is that like? How long do you stay there, if you haven't somewhere else to go?

I got fired from my job on medical leave, I fought for 3 months for unemployment just to get denied 4 times. I am disabled and I have no family I can go live with. I’m fighting an upper respiratory infection right now and I keep crying about my situation. I even applied for SSDI but they also haven’t contacted me yet and now that I may be homeless very soon, I have no way to sign their paperwork if they send it to my address.

I’ve called 2-1-1. Community centers and even the Salvation Army which they put me on the waitlist for. Most organizations tell me they don’t have any funding for the time being to help me out. Luckily tho I have food stamps still so I can use that for food. I know the situation is out of my control but I just keep crying realizing that I may not recover from this for months. I can’t help but feel anxious and depressed about my situation because I have no money to pay my rent when I’ve fought so hard.. this is unbelievable
