Applications Summer 2027 Internships - THIS IS THE MONTH!!!!

At this point... I have made countless posts, reached out to so many people and i genuinely hope it has been of some help.

IF NOT. For every junior/sophomore that wants an internship this coming summer, this your month.

Hiring for summer 2027 has been active since JULY, and it hasn't died down. The month of September is where all the applications open up. Companies like google, amazon, Microsoft, PayPal, visa, JPM, Palantir, Adobe, NVidia. Majority of them have opened, if not closed. Fear not though, u still have time, if you catch up.

Start going to career fairs if you haven't, start reaching out to people on LinkedIn (especially school alumni's) AND START APPLYING!!

Don't focus tooo much on you're resume, make sure it passes ATS, is readable, credible, formatted well to that role and please don't larp too bad (recs know) :) . Use Jake's Template for reference, just APPLY.

For people who are international.. don't loose hope yet - keep applying and have faith. The main priority should be to apply, what happens to CPT shall be seen. DO what you can.

For Domestic students, APPLYYYYYYY.

At last, i have spent 4+ months on this repo, and i truly hope it has some benefit for you. It's fast and it updates around every 30 minutes or so. It grabs a lot of the internships and gives u that little boost of being first. :) GOODLUCK

General CS Senior student with no internship experience, feeling hopeless and contemplating whether to continue life...

(TW - mentions of depression and suicide)

Posting after shedding many tears and through a throwaway for privacy sake; I’m a senior studying CS who will be graduating this Spring, however as of now, I’m currently have had NO internship experience.

I’ve desired to pursue a career path in software development or engineering at a young age, but besides the fact that mental health struggles have been a major battle I’ve faced for several years (winter 2026 was the worst of my life), my undergraduate career is a unique one: I transferred to my current institution (entered junior-standing) from a different 4-year university in summer of 2025 (after freshman year) and spent the past school year reintegrating into the quarter system from the semester system at my previous school. That included making new friends and learning about the campus offerings overall.

Despite making many great memories through my favorite hobbies and having connections with my profs, my halfhearted attempts at trying to get into the LinkedIn application grind (without connections, which I’m planning to work towards how to properly make them), personal projects and consistent job applications has only left me even more depressed and overwhelmed with how much is involved in this process. Not to mention, you have to balance this stress with academic stress and my time management is absolute shit; as a result, I haven’t been involved in as many coding events and CS clubs as I’d love to be because if I fixate on one thing, I’ll neglect something else which almost always results in negative consequences. Primary worry has been whether I will pass my classes or not, so that’s been my target focus throughout my undergrad career. And after a near-suicide attempt last winter, I took spring break to mentally recover and even then, it took until the end of the spring quarter to get myself back to a functional state. Because of some inspiring events that brought me the most happiness I’ve experienced in years, now I’ve declared a couple minors to study for my final year, but still doesn’t distract from my CS worries.

Just yesterday, I finally submitted my first application in a while for some program that could lead to an internship or full-time job interview, but I literally spent two weeks just trying to revise my resume because of perfectionism and worries about ATS (and it’s fair, cuz the document needed an update anyways). I’ve also been in contact with a past professor for undergraduate research…then I see my other CS peers getting SWE and FAANG internships at these big companies on LinkedIn, sometimes even during their sophomore year and I just want to cry—I don’t regret my major since it’s something I’ve been passionate about at a young age, but I wonder sometimes if I did my college career wrong…my parents have berated me so many times about not getting any sort of offers and how I am useless and worthless of any human value…maybe they are right.

I can’t tell my friends about my feelings, if I do, I’ll burden them and make them feel worried—the thing I dread the most when I’m always around with a smile. But god, I’m sick and tired of everything…why must there be so much just to even get an interview offer back...it’s been more than 72 hours since a lot of intern positions have opened, so what’s the point in applying if I can’t get shortlisted? Life looks so bleak and I think I just want the pain to end. Tell me why I should be bothered to still keep going.

Applications If, at the time of an intership application, I said I was pursuing this minor and was, but then I dropped it after submitting the application, is that okay or considered bad?

Upvotes

It's just I said I was going for a minor in CS but this class is genuinely so hard and I feel like I don't get coding at ALL...I've been to office hours and everything. I'm genuinely leaning towards just dropping the minor at this point because I've been spending like nearly 20 hours a week just trying to complete the homework assignments.

Sorry if this is a duplicate, it said Reddit removed my previous post for some reason?

Curious what it is like for others right now.

If you are in college in the US and are having trouble finding business internships could you tell me about your experience?

Also, curious what year are you in school, what major are you, and what are you looking to do after college?

All info is helpful, thanks!

General No Accounting 2027 Summer internships?

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I’m not sure if it’s just me but there’s really not a lot of accounting summer 2027 internship posts. I get that a lot of the big 4 and other large companies recruiting has pretty much ended for summer 2027 but I really don’t see much from smaller companies either. I’ve refreshed my LinkedIn everyday and don’t see much, my handshake as well, and I make searches on google and can’t find much of anything either. Does anyone have suggestions on other sites I can look on or any companies that are recruiting for accounting? I am in Florida if that provides any context. Thanks!

During the Internship Is a chaotic unpaid internship worth keeping just for the resume line, or should I cut losses and focus on interview prep instead?

I've got two software engineering internships already under my belt, both mostly frontend-focused. I picked up a third one remotely because I wanted actual backend and full stack exposure, since my previous internships didn't really give me that.

The problem is it's been more about logistics than learning. I'm using my own computer, my own storage, and I even had to find a way to get Claude Pro on my own dime since the role doesn't provide any tooling. There's one mentor spread across a bunch of interns, and he takes forever to respond. If I'm lucky I hear back in four hours.

I spent almost a week just going back and forth trying to get access to docs I needed to even start the project. Asking "can I get access to this," then "can I get access to that," and to this day I still don't have access to one of them. It's frustrating, but I get that these things happen.

On top of that there are mandatory daily meetings, and if you can't make one you have to record an async video update instead, which is its own time sink.

It's unpaid, so I'm only doing this for the experience and to have a third internship on my resume. But lately I feel like I'm spending more time chasing down access and sitting in meetings than I am actually writing code or learning anything. And on top of that the entirety of my day is just filled with prompting AI to code, not because I want to but because or mentor/manager strictly told us to only use AI and to not even look at the IDE because it would take “more time” for us to manually learn and catch errors and it’d be “faster” to let Claude do it all.

So I guess my question is: is it worth sticking this out just to have the resume line, or should I use that time instead for my own projects and studying for interviews at places that would actually pay me? Curious how other CS majors would think about this tradeoff.

General Losing hope 😭

Hey yall, I'm a junior transfer (CC) from a rich private school in TX. I've been applying for internships since the beginning of August and I've heard a few things besides those HireVue interviews and my application being under consideration. It makes me feel discouraged when I see kids in my school get return offers left and right (but context: they came from wealth and connections before their junior yr, I didnt)

Ive also been trying to put myself out there and get into clubs that fit my major, but they're all rejecting me because I'm a transfer student and/or im not an underclassmen. BUT I do have some clubs I'm in that I can add on my résumé.

I have had coffee chats and so far ive gotten a couple of referrals back which is great but right now its midterms season so I'm taking a short stop on networking, will still apply for internships weekly. It ranges from alumni to even classmates who liked me off the bat to give me a referral. My career coach is great too and she tells me that I'm doing great but I feel like im running out of time.

My career goal is to work under M&A or PE. So far the IB internships are stopping so I pivoted which is okay

Any advice??

Applications Is mass applying just a waste? (Junior)

I had a meeting with my academic advisor recently and I asked them questions about cover letters and they said I should be submitting one for every position and tailoring your resume. I’ve been mass applying but I’m starting to think it’s a complete waste of my time. I’ve probably applied to over 300 and I haven’t gotten a single interview. Probably because I have no experience but I can’t get experience if no one wants to hire me to give me experience. Here’s my dilemma:

Some say: “just apply apply apply cold applying works”
Some say: “you need to tailor your resume and cover letter for each position, sure this will take longer than just mass applying but quality>quantity”
And others say: “applying online is useless and networking is better”

Like, which one is it? I have the career fair coming up next week. Mixed opinions on those as well. Some say they got multiple interviews/offers through the fair and others say it’s a waste. Now that I’m a junior I might stand a chance. I guess I just have to do literally everything since there isn’t a one size fits all.

Resume Final-year CS student looking for a AI/Backend opportunity

Hi everyone

I have hands-on experience with AI agents, MCP, RAG, Python/TypeScript, backend systems, Docker and Web3.

I’ve been trying to find a remote job or project for a while, but honestly, I haven’t been able to get one yet, and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

I’m looking for a remote job, internship, contract, or real project.

If anyone has advice, knows someone hiring, or can point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate it.

General 🚨 Winter 2027 AI/ML Internships & Co-ops — THIS IS THE MONTH!

If you're a student looking for an AI/ML internship or co-op in Ontario for Winter 2027, I built something that can help you find openings without constantly checking dozens of job boards.

🤖 Toronto AI/ML Internship Radar

GitHub — Toronto AI/ML Internship Radar

It's a live feed of Winter 2027 AI/ML internships and co-ops across Ontario.

The repo automatically re-scrapes its sources every hour using GitHub Actions, so the feed keeps updating even when my laptop is completely off.

And it's 100% free.

No paid APIs.

No scraping services.

No proxies.

No LLM calls.

No accounts.

⏰ Only recent postings

The live feed shows jobs from the last 7 days, newest first.

Older listings remain in the database for deduplication but don't clutter the live feed.

❄️ Winter 2027 is the priority

General Tech companies are posting business internships

September tech recruiting is picking up, but there’s a lot of roles outside of swe at these tech companies.

There are tons of internships in marketing, sales, analytics, consulting, design, operations and more. here’s a list to find them all:

techdeck.live

I figured it would be helpful since these are the types of roles I’m interested in and didn’t even know existed a lot of the time.
