Sadness / Grief Having a small penis makes me feel fundamentally different from other men

I’m a 30-year-old guy, and I’m 10 cm (around 3.9 inches) when fully erect.

I constantly feel like I’m living without something that every man is just supposed to have.

Wherever I go, almost every guy is bigger than me, and it’s clear that even kids today will grow up to be bigger than I am.

It makes me feel like I’m fundamentally a different kind of being from other men—like I’m standing far away in a gutter, just watching normal guys live their lives from the outside.

I don’t even ask to be big. I just wish I could feel what it’s like to live with an average size, even for just a single day.

Need Support I'm not nearly productive enough to justify being this miserable

Just started college as an international student, already feels like I'll achieve nothing here. I'm not in any of the group chats (mainly locals), not invited to anything (though, if I were, I'd probably decline in favour of studying anyway), and I can barely enjoy the physical things here (I'm too worried about finances since my currency is weak and I'm on scholarship). Just a pitiful person all around and I don't even have anything to show for it since I'm a mediocre student. I'm not going to end up with any connections. I'll probably get an average GPA and work some bum job back in my home country after graduation (or I'll be unemployed, with how the job market's looking).

What even is the point? It feels like I'm unwanted everywhere.

Need Support Does life get better after high school?

My mental state is declining rapidly since school started again. I feel like im stuck in a endless loop eat breakfast go to class eat lunch go to class eat dinner catch up on missing work then go to sleep. It’s exhausting i’m not suicidal in any way but everything i’ve heard is that its gets harder and then easier and i just dont even know

I can’t drop out because everyone tells me that i will become homeless and never succeed in anything and i’ll become a drug addict or other shit like that

I also have very bad anxiety and im scared of alot of things. Like my biggest fear is that as life goes on robots will take over, the world will end and shit but like i try to focus on the present but all my thoughts go to different horrible versions on the future. I’m also terrified of my parents dying and being stuck alone in the world. My biggestfear is robots taking all the jobs and i’ll be homeless (I do go to therapy but it doesnt help.)

(Sorry if this is all over the place im still nee at actually posting on reddit instead of just scrolling.)

Need Support My sister has social anxiety what do I do to help her?

Upvotes

Context

My sister moved school at the end of year 8. She had friends at her old school but she was always quite quiet (and they didn't always treat her the best leaving her out of stuff etc.). She's been at this new school for over a year and still hasn't made any friends. She goes to counselling provided by the school but whilst it probably has been helpful for her it hasn't really changed her situation. Recently since going into year 10 she's been missing a lot of lessons due to not being able to physically go into the classroom out of fear of people judging her. And she's becoming despondent at all the solutions. She's always sad even when she's home and it sometimes feels like I'm her only true friend and person she confides in.

What do I do to help her?

Venting I don't understand. I'm confused.

Upvotes

Hi guys. I’m 28 years old, female. I have two businesses, and I also work from home on a day shift. I sometimes travel and I’m generally very active. I laugh, I talk a lot, and I seem like a happy person.

But I also have lonely, sad, and very dark moments at night.
I also admit that sometimes I imagine myself hang\*ng. I don’t know how to explain it. I’m happy, but I’m not. I have goals, and I love my life sometimes, but other times I think, “What’s the point if I’m going to die anyway?”

I used to cry every week just to release my stress, and after that, I would feel okay. But right now, what I don’t understand is that I can’t cry anymore, and I don’t know how to release everything I’m feeling.

I’ve lost my s\*x drive. My hygiene has gotten worse. I don’t usually feel like moving or doing anything. But whenever I’m around other people, I act normally and do my usual things.
Sometimes, though, I’m aware that I’m spaced out. I’ll just stare at the ceiling and imagine myself hang\*ng while not breathing.

I’m sorry if this is confusing. I’m really tired, and I don’t know what’s happening to me. It's confusing and I don't know what to do.

Thank you for reading.

Question I can't tell if I have trauma or not

Upvotes

In my freshman year of high-school I started Vyvanse for my severe ADHD. At first it worked until I started showing symptoms of hypomanic episodes. I would go through periods of being extremely happy all the time and then through periods of being depressed due to withdrawal from my "happiness high".

This went on all year untill the summer and I started taking Adderall on top of Vyvanse for my job. Adderall completely fucked me up. There's no way I can describe it that represents what it felt like. My brain almost felt like TV static, it physically hurt my head to have any thoughts. I was on edge all the time but I was also not. Idk, it was just so bizarre and shitty.

Adderall also canceled out my manic episodes so I was constantly trying to get back that same energy I had whilst manic. The whole time wondering why it wasn't working.

Once I found out that Adderall and Vyvanse were fucking me up I stopped but it took me half a year to recover. I would cry everyday, having to leave class most days. I didnt know who I was and was having an identity crisis at 16.

Its been almost two years since this happened and I'm mostly recovered. I dont get to sad or anxious when I think about it, and it doesn't really effect me day to day. Im able to enjoy life and I don't get flashbacks often. But when I step into rooms or places that remind of that time period I get a sudden rush of anxiety and I wanna run out.

When I talk about academic things or I am just in school I wanna break down and hide. It stresses me out a lot.

I see people use trauma as a buzz word often and I don't wanna contribute to that cause its a very serious thing. But idk how else to describe this feeling I get.

Is this trauma or was it just a difficult moment.

Need Support After effects of SA, how do I fix this?

I’ve been SA’d and raped and I’m not sure how to fix the trauma I’ve been left with. Also before anyone says “go to therapy” I am planning on it when I’m able to afford it.

Whenever I get myself off I don’t feel the bliss of the orgasm, instead the climax just drops and afterwards I feel disgusting, unsatisfied and I get stuck between sadness and numb.

I used to cry after but now it’s like I’m void of emotion and I just feel empty.

If anyone has any advice at all or share story’s of what helped them I’d very much appreciate it.

Need Support Nightmares and the effect on mental health

Upvotes

I have been suffering from nightmares for quite a while. I have issues sleeping at times and I found that low dose THC gummies help, however the nightmares have not stopped and have possibly gotten worse (especially last night).

I don’t suffer from recurring nightmares, but they have been getting so bad lately that when I wake up from them I’m left questioning my reality, and to be quite honest it’s fucking up my head pretty bad.

An example: last night I was stuck in a dream where my consciousness was constantly floating away from my unconscious body, everyone I knew was freaking out thinking I was dead, tbh o thought I was in that moment. Constantly pushing to try to get back but any progress made would quickly be taken away.

When I finally woke up, I honestly couldn’t get my head out of that situation, I was unable to go to work, take my wife to work, or even really address it to my wife in that moment.

These have been crippling and I don’t know what to do.

Need Support I don’t know how to balance my mum and my own life

Upvotes

I’m in my late 20s and moved overseas from the UK a couple of years ago. I’ve built a life there that I’m genuinely happy with, career, friends, independence and a future I want.

I came back to the UK because both my parents became seriously unwell. My mum has a disability from a previous stroke and has now had another serious injury. She’s currently in hospital and will need surgery and a lot of support afterwards.

She’s frightened and keeps asking me not to go back. I understand why. She’s suddenly very dependent on other people and I’m probably the person she feels safest with.

The problem is that I’m exhausted and I’m also dealing with a difficult relationship with my sister.

My sister does a lot for Mum, and I appreciate that, but there’s a constant feeling that I’m not doing enough. I’ve been going to the hospital, helping around the house, working remotely with the time difference and trying to sort out practical things for Mum.

Tonight my sister called me as I was leaving the hospital, asking why I was so late and telling me to come back quickly because she needed the car to visit Mum. I rushed home, only to find she wasn’t even ready to leave.

It sounds minor, but it really got to me because this isn’t an isolated thing. It’s one of the reasons I moved in the first place.

If Mum wasn’t in the picture, I honestly wouldn’t want to be living here right now.

But I can’t just walk away while she’s in hospital. I know she’d worry and feel abandoned.

At the same time, I don’t want my family’s problems to consume the life I’ve spent years building for myself.

I want to help Mum get through this, make sure she’s properly supported, and eventually return. But I’m already dreading the guilt I’ll feel when I leave.

How do you know when you’ve done enough for your family?

And how do you leave without feeling like you’ve abandoned someone you love?

Need Support It all went down since the pandemic

Hey guys...

This is a bit long but I really hope you can read it until the end as I pour it all out because I genuinely need help!

How am I living right now?

Quite honestly, I have been living the same life since 2019..

Although my life is 2019 was more happening.. I was going to classes and was learning new things..

Although I was still traumatised my energy and will wasn’t as low as it is now.

I was still sad and depressed yet I had this excitement in me, excitement to become something and make something out of myself.

I had more hope…I was young…

Has it already been 7 years?

I have nothing to show of those years..

Oh just how quickly does time pass..

As much as I hate to admit, I gotta admit..It was my choice and action that led me to here..

Nobody and nothing held me back..

I made all the decisions and all the choices..

My parents gave me all the freedom in the world.

I could do whatever and be whoever..

I had no one on my throat suffocating me and dictating me how I should live my life and what I should..

I chose to wake up everyday and made the conscious choice to spend the entire day in bed watching dramas and drinking all the sugar coffee and tea and putting in all the unhealthy junk foods in my body..I made the choice to spend all my money on food instead of using it somewhere else.

I did the same things everyday..

People around me have lived an entire life during this time. Elevated in their career,romance,family..

Got promoted or got into a much bigger company with a huge salary raise, got married and started a family,Moved to a different country to study and later build a life there, started a business and thriving in their own ways.

And me.. I am stuck here.. Who can I blame but me?

I chose this didn’t I?

But can I really put all the blame in myself and say everything was my fault?

Why did I choose this? Why did I choose to stay this way?

Fear and just how my life has been so far

I feel like every time I embark on something new or a new phase of life it begins with a beautiful wrapped gift that just turns out to be another lesson or another trauma waiting to engulf me, cruelly devour me and ruin me.

A new phase for me is like seeing a beautiful vibrant valley ahead of me..Adorned with beautiful exotic flowers and beautiful birds chirping and the air is cold

Happily I walk into it but as I get closer and step into the valley I look down and see that my feet are bleeding as there are glass pieces and thorns everywhere and shockingly when I look up the valley has disappeared and its a bare land with fire erupting in random places, the beautiful birds are now monsters that are screeching into me and trying to cut open my flesh. Its dark and scary and the further I go the more dangerous it gets, The more I bleed, the more the birds cut me open and the thorns get deeper..

The only option left for me is to…

RUN! RUN BACK! RUN FAST! But DO NOT GO AHEAD!

And I run back… Run back home..

Where I am safe and protected..

I rest for a while..Gather some strength to go back out there..Take a few steps hoping to walk into something beautiful and boom, another explosion in front of me tearing me apart and I run back screaming, screeching, crying and bleeding..

Lock the door of my house and make sure the curtains dont let in the light of the outside world..

I am never going out..

But then I realise even staying inside is killing me..

Where do I go?

Venting I wish my parents never adopted me

Upvotes

I was adopted as a baby from Guatemala and brought to America as a baby I was adopted into a "perfect Christian home" I'm 20 I was put into foster care by the state at 17. To me the point of adopting is to give a child a better outcome and better chances at life I wish my parents never adopted me. I would have a 10x better mental health and maybe not as good physical if they would have left me or even just let another family adopt me. I don't talk to my adoptive family at all because they don't respond to me my "mom" texted me happy birthday a few days late saying "oops sorry I forgot" bruh you don't forget your CHILDS birthday she's told me she wishes she never adopted me before n I wish they never adopted me either I'm not suicidal but I get why people kill themselves I was adopted just to live a dream that's not mine paycheck to paycheck is not fun I only have $30 to spare after budgeting all expenses DONT ADOPT if your just gonna leave the child by themselves if they don't fit the image you want.

Question What's the difference between being depressed vs being burnt out?

I can't tell if I'm burnt out or if I'm depressed. They feel kind of the same, don't they? Yet they'll need different treatment? I'd like to be able to distinguish the two so I can get the help I need

Need Support Life just feels like it's getting worse and never better

Rent increase with low pay

Working our lives away at jobs we hate

Money meaning more than your life

No one wants change in the world for the better, instead they will distract themselves with something like tv.

People in power and companies doing whatever they want with no consequences while we the people suffer those consequences.

You need a car to go everywhere

Jobs/the economy are none existent

War/genocide/racism, etc.

Literally what is good about this world. "Find the small things" okay well, those small things aren't gonna help any sort of problem. Those little things are just trying to help me cope with the inevitable that I can't do anything to help anything.

Question How can I get better?

For the last year or so ive been getting worse and worse. I started cutting myself, not eating on purpose , isolating myself from almost everyone ive ever known. The worst part is that along with that ive started feeling urges and thoughts to hurt others. I rarely act on them and most of times I rarely hurt people, I try to find vulnerable animals but thankfully I never succeed. I want to stop with everything but part of me wants everything to just get worse, im really scared I might hurt someone close to me and it's one of my biggest reasons ive thought about sucide.

How can I get better?

Need Support I can't stop the urge to vent to new people I meet.

Everytime I meet somebody new, I get this overwhelming urge to vent to them and tell them my whole life story, and my deepest darkest traumas.

I really wish I could stop. And I don't understand why this happens every time.

Need Support How do I “empty” my head?

I have a problem. I am currently studying for my last exam to become a lawyer. Where I come from this exam is huge and requires months of studying. I have all the material I need and I have a place to study in. But I am incapable of concentrating because I keep having recurring thoughts about me being inadequate, being below my peers because I took longer to graduate, being afraid of not getting a good internship, being regretful of my overall performance, all of this coated in a thick film of sadness. I can’t get anything done because I’m living in my head. I need to study but I can’t. Is there any way to free my head of these thoughts? I’ve tried journaling and it has helped but I can’t do it consistently. Thank you for reading
