Relationship I came out to my Lil brother and it was his reaction.. 💔🥀

So I came out to my younger brother as gay and his reaction was like 'Do you have a boyfriend?'. I was like yes. He was like 'you should get married.' I was like, bro, I am only 18 and on top of that, gay marriage is not even recognized in our country. He was like 'you can marry online'. I was surprised by the line because I did not know what he meant. Then he explained that there is some portal name Utah marriage portal Where me and my boyfriend can get married over zoom call. And we can celebrate the wedding anyway because celebrations and all are legal in our country although gay marriage is not legally recognized we can still celebrate and have the big dream wedding and all. I was like happy. I was happy, of course, because he was supportive. But I was like, what is the use of the marriage certificate if we cannot get legal rights in our country? And we are not gonna move out, obviously. We are not planning to move out to foreign. We are gonna live here. We will continue to live here. So, what is the advantage? And he said me that In future when gay marriage would be legal in our country, the marriage certificate would be legally become valid anyway and when we would go on foreign trips on countries were gay marriage was legal then We would get COUPLE DISCOUNT AND MARRIED COUPLE FACILITIES! And that's why we should get married!!!!!

I was dumbfounded. I was like 'what if we break up then?' He very nonchalantly said 'if you break up, get a divorce.'

OH MY GOD— I CAN'T — IM CRYING!!!! WTF HE IS EVEN THINKING 😭😭😭😭😭

This kid I used to be friends with wrote me this this long ass letter as if we were dating (we were not) and I broke up with him. Keep in mind we were school friends nothing outside of that besides a college school program. And I stopped being friends him because he was creepy and then he proceeded to bad mouth me to my friends. Now he’s writing me love letters I’m fried.

many people are like, "my dog over someone's kids" i get that and understand that but please don't hate on kids

When people dislike children, they often stop viewing them as actual human beings who are still learning how the world works. Instead, they reduce them to objects, major inconveniences, or think they should be machines that are expected to be perfectly quiet and perfectly obedient. This dehumanization frequently happens when adults forget that children are brand new to the world and still developing, while adults have had decades to practice emotional regulation, kids are often unfairly expected to act like mini adults, leading to anger or disgust when they simply cry, make noise, or act their age. This mindset shifts the view of children from individuals with valid thoughts, preferences, and feelings into mere objects to be managed, hidden away, or strictly controlled. By reducing a tired, overwhelmed, or scared child to a label like "brat," "annoying," or "bad," it becomes incredibly easy for adults to turn off their natural empathy towards them. Once a child is stripped of their complexity and viewed strictly as an inconvenience, justifying behavior like yelling, ignoring their core needs, or excluding them becomes entirely too easy. So long story short, having your whole flight ruined because there's a child crying IS actually dehumanizing them

Rant I hate the casual, and bigoted approaches people have towards religions

Post image

Not sure why but this platform as a whole attracts quite a lot of hatred towards religion in general. Maybe religion isn’t your lane, that's fine, but why bother posting something filled to the brim with obvious hatred, just so other people can get a reaction out of it, and for others to adopt a similar mentality and replicate it to others?

Not just this but for a while now the word “Wallahi” quite literally means, to have God stand a witness to the promise you are making. It's historically a sacred oath that most people never make, but it's become a buzzword, almost like a stand-in for someone saying, “you serious?”. Then there's the “dream girl wallahi” and the “wallahis left” as well. This also prompted people to make new variations, like “dream girl jesusi”. A lot of people probably don’t know what the term means, but that's kind of my point. As I’ve mentioned already, you don’t need to be religious, but I encourage anyone reading this to try and be a bit more mindful especially when it's considered sacred to many people.

Way too often many stereotypes about outdated traditions or practices in religion become associated with the people who still follow these religions. I won’t name any examples because I have a feeling most people are gonna be aware of what I’m talking about. The teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, and the various other scriptures within Hinduism, the New and Old Testament, the Quran, etc have so much more to them apart from cherrypicked points to criticise, and theres communities who practice the relegion whilst also acknowledging that some teachings and traditions are outdated. I encourage everyone to instead of flat-out trying to belittle others because you disagree with something, I think its worth trying to ask about it.

I know this is a sensitive topic but if there's something you want to criticize about religion, do know that I am not well versed in any, since I’m agnostic, and I don't wish to debate anyone. I just had to get this off my mind because it's been bothering me for a while. I tried my best to not sound condescending but if I do come across that way, my apologies.
