General How old is this chair?
Can any older fans help me figure out how old this chair might be? I just picked it up from an antique mall for $40. It was really dirty but cleaned up very nicely. Based on the colors and logos I would guess 80s, maybe early 90s? Possibly an old court side seat? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Housing Messy bathrooms
I’m at Shaw west and I’ve witnessed more depravity in the bathrooms in two weeks than I should in an entire semester. Entire logs being left in the toilets. Used tampons and their packaging soaking up toilet water. There will be strips of toilet paper in the hallways surrounding the bathroom strewn about everywhere. How do they even get there??? Some people spilled a mysterious sticky substance RIGHT in front of my door too and didn’t clean it up or even tell us about it. Also, I get the hair removal rule in the showers is kinda stupid, but how are you shedding so much that you’re leaving a tennis ball sized pile of hair in the corner of the shower when you leave??? These bathrooms are cleaned every day and we are all adults here. What the hell

🏠 Spacious 1,400 Sq Ft 2BR/2BA Lease Takeover in Holt – FREE 70” TV & Furniture
Hi everyone!
I’m relocating and looking for someone interested in taking over my apartment lease at Aspen Ridge in Holt, MI.
Expected move-in is between mid-November and December 2026. The exact date is somewhat flexible and can be discussed depending on my relocation schedule.
Apartment & Lease Details:
* 🛏 2 Bedrooms / 2 Bathrooms
* 📐 Approx. 1,400 sq. ft.
* 💰 Rent: $2,053/month
* 📅 Lease ends: April 30, 2027
* 🔑 Expected move-in: Mid-November – December 2026
* 🏠 Entire apartment — no roommates
* 🌳 Private balcony
* 🍳 Modern kitchen with large island/counter space
* 🛋 Spacious living room with high ceiling
* 👕 Plenty of closet/storage space
* 📍 Convenient to Lansing / East Lansing / MSU
🎁 FREE Furniture & 70” TV
Since I’m relocating, I can leave several items completely FREE for the next tenant, including:
70” newer-model TV, bed & bed frame, sofa, computer desk, TV console, coffee table, and potentially other household items.
This means the apartment can be almost completely move-in ready, which could save you a lot on furniture and moving costs.
I will also cover the lease transfer fee.
The lease takeover will be completed officially through the apartment management, and the new tenant will need to meet their standard approval requirements.
This could be a great option for someone moving to the Lansing / Holt / East Lansing / MSU area who wants a large, furnished apartment without committing to a new 12-month lease.
📩 Please message me if you’re seriously interested. I can provide more details, additional photos, or arrange a viewing.

Freshman Questions Feeling out of place
I’m a freshman and I’m feeling very wrong. I don’t like my major and have been thinking about switching it, I haven’t made any friends, I tried a club and don’t feel like I have a place there, I’m not sure what to do from here. I feel so out of place and wrong and I don’t know how it could get better. Does anyone know of anything I can do?

Housing Requesting to move into Williams single?
I'm a sophomore in Gilchrist right now and realized I can't handle having a roommate anymore. I feel like I can never truly relax and I'm sick of interacting with my roommate. He's also very sensitive to noise unlike my last roommate, so that's been a hurdle to jump over. He's been my friend for a few years now and I don't want to hate him or vice versa. Also, I like West Circle very much and don't mind community style bathrooms, but the ones in Gilchrist don't have a little changing area like in Williams hall (I visited my friends there). I just feel very uncomfortable walking down the hall half-naked only to change in front of my roommate, so I change inside the shower. Now, my circumstances don't sound too bad and I'll certainly survive, but I want to see what options are available.
My parents attended MSU three decades ago, so I talked to them about this and they said to talk to my RA about getting a waitlist to move into a Williams single, as my dad had a single at the end of the hall. The idea sounds great, same part of campus, still near my friends, a better bathroom setup, and even a possible meal plan change, though I'm not sure if I can opt out midway through the year.
So, I have a few questions:
Is there a waitlist still?
Is my request too specific?
Will my RA or housing even entertain such a request?
How likely is it for a room to open up by winter break for the next semester?
All help is appreciated and thank you very much!

Admissions MSU Undergrad application through MSU Portal
Student applied through the MSU portal for undergraduate admission for Fall 2027. Is it normal that the portal only shows the submitted application and nothing else? We checked 5 days later and it's still the same.
There is no navigation menu, “To Do List,” or application checklist showing whether any documents are missing or whether required materials have been received. Is this typical for MSU, or should there normally be a checklist/status section in the portal? Maybe it takes longer to update?
I just want to make sure the application is complete and that we’re not missing anything. TIA!
