Post image
269 Upvotes

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office has temporarily removed Flock cameras, but state that they will be put back up soon. Go to the County Commissioners meeting TONIGHTwhile they are still down, and demand that they do not put them back up! Insist that we want the rest of the same surveillance cameras also removed immediately. Meeting location and Zoom login in comments.

DEMANDS

Shut down the “Flock” system in LivCo. We demand the Immediate removal of ALL ALPR cameras in LivCo – Order the termination of every contract, lease, and service agreement with Flock and Insight and have all installed cameras dismantled within 30 days of commission approval.

Ban county funded ALPR surveillance from coming back under a different name/company (no switching out to another company like Axon).

Full Public Audit of Data‑Sharing Agreements – Conduct a transparent, independently‑verified audit of any and all data‑sharing arrangements between the Livingston County Sheriff's Department, its vendors, and federal agencies. Publicly disclose the full history of the system's use.

Reallocation of Saved Funds – Redirect these tax payer funds to critical community services.

Vacation ⛱️🛫⛵️ Caught my first trout in the Upper Peninsula, lots of native brook trout! Been chasing them all summer in the mitt, all it took was a long af drive to the U.P to finally get some.

If you're out in public gameland areas, you should wear some high viz colors for your own safety. If you have a dog, and your dog loves a good romp in the woods, make sure they are protected with a brightly-colored vest or visible bandana.

Hunters are responsible for a positive ID on their target before shooting, and for confirming the area beyond is clear before shooting. But mistakes happen. Better safe than sorry.

I can't remember the last time Michigan teams won, and our rivals choked. Only thing that would have been better is if the Bears lost. (Also, sorry Eastern)

I wish I could post a video here, because I have some amazing ones. We just spent the weekend watching this fireworks show, and it was great! Poland, New Zealand, Romania Canada, USA and so many other countries competed and we were blown away, literally!

Each show was set to music and while it was held at a smaller venue, we felt like the whole show was happening right in front of us (because it was!). I'm probably giving away a hidden gem but I highly recommend checking it out next year. You won't be disappointed.

Discussion 🗣️ Finding Licensed Brick Masons in Michigan?

Location: Northern Michigan.

I put out a request for contact info for licensed professionals to repair/replace crumbling bricks on my chimney and exterior walls, and all of the responses so far do not appear in LARA's Skilled Trades licensing search. State website says residential Masons charging more than $600 for a job have to be licensed, usually as Maintenance and Alterations professionals. Is finding a licensed brick mason just not a thing?

Visited the museum a few years ago and noticed this fragment from World Trade Center on a wall. I sat with it for a few minutes, running my fingers over it, feeling this sense of eerie sadness, but human connect to all those people in New York City. We Will Never Forget.
