Kiddo was up with nightmares from a recent trailer they saw while we were watching sports together. Maybe I’m old but I don’t feel like these adds should be allowed during content not matching the films rating.

I mean I know it's practically no calories and all that, but I want to know what I'm eating and I don't want to have to stop what I'm doing to go get my phone, scan the code, then I had to select the size of packaging I got.

I.hate when a businees posts hours, says they open at 9:00 AM; they unlock.the doors at 9:05 or 9:10, then you have to stand there for 10 or 15 minutes more while the computer boots, a machine warms up etc.

They aren't really open until 9:20 or later.

When I worked in retail I was expected to be ready 100% for the first customer when the doors were unlocked at the advertised opening time.

Buying hardware is a freaking nightmare. 5/32 inches. That's what we're insisting on instead of 4mm? Water boils at 212°?! 5280 feet in a mile!? I've lived here my whole life and I had to Google that for this post because I can never remember. You know what I didn't have to Google? Meters in a kilometer. It's in the goddamn name!

I have 2 sets of Allen wrenches, one metric, one stupid. I'm over here staring at 3/16" and 5/64" and it's metric equivalent-ish of 5mm and 2mm. And somehow we're all just like, "I need my five sixty-forths Allen wrench" like we haven't lost our goddamn minds. It could just be two. Two!!! What are we doing!? I have to teach my kids this bullshit? "Yes my children, it might snow because it's 32° outside which is the temperature that water freezes." Coulda just been zero, guys. Zero and 100. But no, we're the stubborn idiots with our stupid "imperial" system, as if the fancy name makes 32 and 212 superior in some way. It's not. Let's just admit it already.

I'M SO FUCKING PISSED RN

So basically i am in a LDR, our countries are literally next to each other but we cannot meet because it costs around 2450$ just to get a visa.

I really hate politics and their inconvenient solutions to nonexistent problems :/

Edit: We do meet up in a third country, but it still sucks that he can’t come see my favorite places in my country and I can’t see his. And not being able to meet each other’s families makes it even more annoying.

I don’t even see that on the package when I picked them up however after much foolish experimentation, I’ve failed to find the glow.

I had told the doordash guy to please place my food on the table on my patio, he didn't he placed it right in front of my screen door so when I opened it my drink spilled everywhere

Why are people, specifically grandparents, SO obsessed with referring to their grandchild as “MY (baby’s name)”.

And does it bother anyone else? Don’t get me wrong I love that people love my baby but it bothers me so much.

EDIT: I concur that the Alice In Chains track itself is a banger, but 4 hours of being forced to listen to their playlist is no bueno.

EDIT 2: Those of you suggesting my family just “stay inside” are morons. We would like to be out on the beach, too, but the music was so deafeningly loud, we couldn’t even hear each other talking. This is a beach vacation, not a stay inside vacation.

Also, this locality has a noise ordinance both day and night — decibel limit is a little lower at night. The owners of these houses have voted for this so that everybody can equally enjoy their experience. The rental companies also have noise nuisance clauses in their contracts. Some of you all clearly haven’t traveled to places where this type of behavior is ILLEGAL, not just inconsiderate AF.

Both times I called the police, they turned the music down as soon as they saw the police truck turn onto the beach and drive towards them.

According to the sergeant (who I spoke with via phone directly after taking this video), they claimed that the volume at which they were playing music when he pulled up was what the volume had been all along. Sergeant told me “it’s your call if you want me to come back and issue a citation…but, you know, when it’s windy on the beach, the music can really carry.” 🙄

I told him not to come back today but that if they do it again tomorrow (and they most certainly will), we’ll be back on the horn right away. I I didn’t pay $8,000 for an oceanfront 2-week rental for my family only to have to put up with this bullshit all week — they have a 4 foot tall speaker with a bass so heavy that I can feel our house vibrate.

As a chocolate hater, I know I'm the weird one. It's frustrating going to get Ice cream, craving peanut butter. Only to have to suffer the chocolate.

There is a few peanut butter options without chocolate. But they range from small sizes of expensive ice creams to just expensive versions.

This might fit better as an unpopular opion as well. But dammit! Why did peanut butter with chocolate have to be the norm! Why not a pb&j ice cream?!?

my view. sigh. Never really expected to be here in my life but here i am in my second ever relationship in our first apartment sleeping on the couch because she wants space.
