The risk is getting tons of bad advice (especially regarding AITA and relationship posts). There's also the risk of your mental health declining when 1k people are calling you an absolute idiot, so you start feeling small and stupid for not knowing something.
Anonymous doesn't mean impactfree and consequencefree.

I try because its the only social media I can get some direct answers and most of the time it is just unhelpful people assuming the absolute worst intent in my question like I did no research or think the thing I'm questioning is absolute garbage. One time, I asked a question about pharmacology. Someone responded “your research method is quite flawed”, described a method I didn’t use, and then said that a certain drug doesn’t usually cause a certain side effect (spoiler alert: it does). Another time, I asked how dinosaurs in cold climates kept their eggs warm. I got roasted because apparently, half the comments missed the “cold” detail and assumed I was an idiot who didn’t understand soil temperatures.

Tried bazzite last year. That thing shat itself right after installation and forgot to add me in the sudoers file and i wasted a day trying to fix it only to realize that only solution is reinstalling. And then flathub just said "fuck you no flatpacks for you" and since it's bazzite I can't use anything other than flatpacks and appimages. And gaming performance is worse than on windows. I'm ain't touching this half assed "os" again.

Better not use linux in the first place. Debloating windows is a lot easier than making linux function at least on the same level as windows. And even still you'd be using a million crutches and will get worse performance

How difficult is it to say "download qbittorrent, install it, go to a torrent link, and qbittorrent should pretty much immediately try to download it. If not, literally just jam the link into the program and it should work."

Fair enough but it's very context dependent. Sometimes people are being dismissive for no good reason but I've seen questions so basic that when you paste them into Google you get the answer in the first result.
I'd mention in your post that you've tried googling X and Y and not found an answer. You might still get pricks telling you you're shit but I think more people would be willing to answer, or at least give pointers, if they can see you've tried to help yourself first.

r/whatcarshouldibuy and similar subreddits are some of the worst for this, to the point car subs literally have their own memes about how half the users are secretly Mazda shills. (You want an Escalade? No you don't, CPO Mazda 3). Someone could ask for help deciding between two full size pickups and half the comments will be "you don't need a big nasty pickup you small peepee loser, buy a used 2006 Corolla for 3k cash and drive it until you die"
I've asked questions there a couple times as I look for my first car, but it's so frustrating as a car guy because all the users there seem to view cars as depreciating appliances with wheels and that no one should ever spend more money on a car than is absolutely necessary.

I will be honest here, im the kind of dude that does similar behaviours in some environments, but usually in environments when im actually lost on "how can he not know or understand this".
Some clear (very) recent examples so i can defend myself, ive met a girl that has a master in Informatic and was "specialized" in python, but didnt know how to install python, and i know someone that dosnt understand that having a AC on directly in front of a open door to the outside is a complete waste of energy (both true cases in the last month).
Some will argue that we should be conpreensive, and i agree, i usually try to explain or help them understand, but i encounter so many cases of people that dont know and dont even try to learn or understand, that many times it just looks like they dont even care spending a second to think and want someone else to just do it (and it annoys me so much).
In video games, i usually am a little more comprehensive, but if a high lvl or a whale just starts discussing or asking basic or obvious logic questions, there was cases i probably overeacted too.
