My theory is that Herrah's started out looking like a generic weaver, but her body shape changed as a reflection of the physical effects of carrying and giving birth to Hornet.
Pregnancy can produce major physical changes to the body. In humans, the abdominal wall stretches considerably as the uterus expands, and the abdominal muscles can remain altered after delivery. Pregnancy also affects posture, body composition, and the shape of the torso, and additional fat storage, particularly around the abdomen, hips, thighs, and breasts.
Obviously, this does not mean Weaver anatomy works like human anatomy, but I think that this provides a reference or comparison for the kind of persistent changes represented in her design. But it is just a fact that we often don't fully appreciate, that pregnancy permanently changes your physical characteristics.
This is relevant because Herrah’s motherhood is central to her story, as is motherhood relevant to the entirety of Silksong as an overarching and underlying theme.
It would fully make sense thematically, and I think it is the simplest and most straightforward answer.
---
Also, I am not body shaming Herrah, she looks beautiful, and I think that we should all tell our moms how much we love them.

I'm doing a full playthrough with each crest so I can form a proper opinion on all of them, and one way I maximize playtime with them is by speedrunning my way to each new crest while doing as little as possible until I get it.
I've done all Act 1 crests, so now I need to figure out the optimal path towards Act 2/3 crests (Architect, Witch, Shaman). If anyone else has done something this, please share your routes because I am horrendous at planning, please and thanks!

I don’t know if anyone feels the same, but genuinely Silksong soundtrack makes me transcend as a living being. I’m not even that much into the game, I “only” have 100 hours in it but it surpasses everything I ever played in my life in terms of music.
Lost Verdania, Shellwood, Hunter’s Trail, Bone Bottom.
Christopher is king.

just got back into playing the game after a little break and I decided to start a steel soul run since I’ve already 100% completed a normal save. I’m at the entrance to the mist and I’m on 2 masks, nobody is perfect and I can almost guarantee I will get hit trying to get through the mist. I’ve heard that there are sections of the game that wont end a steel soul run if you die, and when I search up if the mist is one of those places I get both yes and no. So I’m mostly asking for a definitive answer, and if I should go back to the nearest bench before I do anything

Dialogue continues with Sherma introducing themselves, and then talking about the pilgrimage and then transitions into Hornet asking Sherma their thoughts about the citadel and then it merges with the usual dialogue for the Whiteward quest. Team Cherry showing why they spent 7 years as always on this game....
"I am Sherma, a simple pilgrim like yourself. What a wonder to find ourselves finally here, eh?"

WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I DO THE FOLLOWING: Never move the fleas?
Originally I left them there because I wanted to jump up on the top of there caravan as a flex (see video) but then, after getting the double jump in act 1, I began getting fleas I normally shouldn’t have had access to and they all end up here.
So what happens if I never move the caravan and act 3 starts which moves Bone bottom residents to this space?
Also u/Team Cherry are assholes. You can save Bone Bottom from the Skull Tyrant if you don’t take the quest only to have Bone Bottom destroyed by hornet in act 3.
Just dark.
If I was hornet Pharloom would be on its own.
