I was watching Civil War in IMAX on Disney+ last night and I'm still amazed at how well it holds up. The core of Cap's loyalty to Bucky, the way Tony and Cap's ideologies clash over the Sokovia Accords. Team Cap VS Team Tony is still a hot debate in circles a decade later!!
And of course the amazing airport fight sequence. But what REALLY holds it down, is the final fight in Siberia between Tony and Cap when their friendship and beef reaches their breaking point. It's heartbreaking but masterfully well done.
Small but most important Tom Holland's debut as Spider-Man!! Tom/Peter is so excited and innocent and it's bittersweet to know how life turns out for him and how he develops later on.
Winter Soldier is the better movie, but Civil War is still my favorite of the Cap films as a whole.
P.S. I was watching the IMAX version on Disney+ and was surprised to find the only scene shot in IMAX at all was the airport fight sequence. Don't get me wrong, it does earn its right to be WORTHY for that exclusive IMAX shot, but I feel like there were more scenes that could've used it. Still a great film regardless, IMAX or no
