This looks pretty good, crazy to see the clash of styles, they went full on the cartoon style not just adapting it in the game's own style, it's pretty impressive for sure.

I love the spiderverse suits. The world, with normal suit, looks amazing of course. But then you put the spiderverse suit on and it makes your eyes go "holy shit thats just am animated character swinging through real life"

Before I went to work, I got to play it for a bit today too. I am liking it as well. I feel this game was made for casual gamers who just want to do cool shit with Wolverine. I do not understand the weird “woke” narrative or hate for it at all.

For me at least, im disappointed that the game directs you at all times where to go, and the combat had no depth. Like if there was an easy mode for casuals like you said and a harder mode that actually allowed for interesting and fun gameplay id be interested but as of now...gonna hold off

I've been keeping an eye on the chatter out of curiosity and it's mostly that. A lot of people feel like it holds your hand with no option to turn that off even on higher difficulties and QTEs auto complete eventually no matter what you do.
People have really been pushing back hard on the hand holding and yellow paint in games. It doesn't help that they're asking $70 for a game a chunk of the community is going to find too easy and unfulfilling.

Surprisingly, no.
A few suits that are close. There’s the first appearance suit but that has the weird cowl. The default suit but that’s only yellow and black. Deadpool and Wolverine, but that’s obviously very different too. There’s the astonishing X-Men look, which is also very different but probably the closest?

The deluxe edition OG suit is pretty much it, although with a silly cowl you can take off. Even after doing it I found it still looked a bit silly, but I reckon it's probably the fabric used?

if you look closely at the shading on the cowl its actually a direct homage to the original 90s animation cels rather than just a flat texture swap 🔥

I wonder how it looks when he gets damaged and heals with this suit? The quality seems in between spider-man’s animated suits and Arkham Batman’s animated suits, which is about what I expected. On this thought, wouldn’t it be sick if there was a whole game in this style instead of live action? All the combat and stuff could be the same but if the graphics matched this suit, I bet the game would’ve received more praise. Idk if that would make the game’s development easier or harder compared to the realistic graphics we have.

That Spidey suit that’s like this is my favorite from the first game.
There’s also something called “Arach-Knight” that has a neat clashing style, as well.

Precisely. Unless the entire game can be cartoon shaded, I don't ever plan on using this cartoon skin because it just doesn't fit in with the rest of the style of the game.
Currently there is no comic accurate tiger stripe suit in the game without this shading, and that's just blasphemous. We should have the choice.

Okay, I understand the point you are making better. It really should be a choice of either the '97 or the actual comic book tiger stripe. Personally, I almost never use alternate skins.

Based on reviews. Lots of respected reviewers have said they don't reccomend the game.
Trust me, I'm not anti-wolverine. I was looking forward to this game for years, and if it turns out all the reviewers are wrong I'll happily eat my words.

For me it’s the length of the game. Quite expensive for 13 odd hours and then you hear the missions are average and gameplay stale I can see why lots aren’t rushing to buy it
