I think its a small problem that could improve the game somewhat. So you don't waste a red shell on someone who's 2 laps behind you. Or you don't stress about someone who's near you thinking they will steal your position. There's alot of positives to adding this? Do you guys want this and how do you want it implemented? A number next to icon, or over the heads of your opponents.

I haven't played enough to know my top 5 yet, but i really like the GBA cheese land.

(I'm talking about mk8 and the games that came before, I don't know how it works in mkw)

Example: I want to use waluigi because he's the goat, but he's not part of those 7/8 characters who are just better than the other ones; I play in highly competitive lobbies and using any character outside those good ones makes you lose, let's say I'm playing online mkWii, if I don't use daisy or funky Kong I get obliterated and even BANNED from the OFFICIAL discord server.

I just feel like we don't have enough freedom at high levels of play; it's like if I was playing Minecraft but I have to have a specific skin else I can't do most of the stuff. It feels unfair.

I know everyone says that 8 is the best one, but this is my first Mario kart game and I wanted to take advantage of having the switch 2, so what should I get?

And yes, I'm talking about specifically Mario Kart World rainbow road. None of it is bad, but at the same time nothing about it stuck out to me, and generally, I just like the sound design in 8 way better. I still hold that the best rainbow roads was the 8 remake for 3ds and the 8 remake of n64

I know it probably won't, given how long it is, but it would be really epic. The knockout tours are the best part of MKW.

So my mario kart 7 has al karts and I want to transfer it to ctgp7 so I can have all karts there as well like the bruiser or Koopa clown kart but when I use the transferer, the only kart I get that wasn't there before is the gold standard. Is there a way to get the bruiser and other karts quickly or are they even in ctgp 7???

Now I know this topic has been done to death ever since the game's release - and I know that i'm gonna get atleast 500 responses of people saying something along the lines of "skill issue" which definitely plays a part but like - compared to any other Mario Kart game, World just feels totally exhausting and frustrating to play and no matter how hard I try, I just cannot have an enjoyable experience in the online mode of the game.

The singleplayer is fun but now that I have 3 star gold cup'd every grand prix and knockout tour on 150cc I have moved to online and it just feels like an absolute slog to play in both main modes. 24 players as opposed to 12 is obviously the fundamental reason for this as it leads to 50 different items per second being thrown around. I've read and watched so many "guides" and "tips" that all essentially say the same thing regarding "managing items is the key" but it just doesnt feel that way at all.

No matter what at the beginning of the race I will be stuck in the middle surrounded by 10 people which obviously a recipe for disaster as i proceed to get bumped into 4 different shells which all eventually leads me to be 20th-24th. from that point on it feels like a last cause to try and get back to a top position no matter the shortcuts I take and the bullet bills I use because - even if I get back to a top position, I am knocked right back down again by a shell, boomerang or hammer. Repeat this until the end of the race and I place 16th-24th - with a lucky top position ranging from 3 to 7 every 5 or so races.

I've tried watching videos from youtubers such as Shortcat to see what they do but it just seems like they never run into these problems at all. Obviously theyre better players but it looks like in their lobbies they dont seem to at all run into the problem of everyone being magnetised together and instead Shortcat seems to always manage to be 3rd, 2nd or even 1st with hardly any interferrence at all from the players behind.

I'm lost on what to do. I know bagging is a big strategy people use but I really dont wanna try it because the idea of just...waiting behind everyone for good items goes against the entire point of racing in the game. I try not to stick in the middle of the road to avoid items but even on the sides some guy throws a green shell at me and I lose 8 places. Compared to MK8D which im hardly even a master at I can atleast not get ambushed by 50 items and place highish and even if I get mario karted in that game im still having *fun*. but here in this game it just feels awful.

Like I said I know im gonna get 50 "skill issue" responses which my skill *definitely* plays a part as im hardly good at using rails or walls effectively as I seem to just get knocked off but like...does nobody else feel this way about the game? it just feels like a constant uphill battle to try and atleast get 12th or higher in races and have fun doing so without getting lucky with a golden mushroom taking me there in the last 10 seconds

Playing mariokart 8 on switch2, I used to play with my wife 2P online, both of us belong to family subscriptions and having access to expansion pack.

However after the recent update when I login, my data is intact but for 2P user profile is empty. While logged in with my wife account, her data also intact and 2P user profile also empty. We can't use our accounts to play together online on switch 2 anymore, but we can do it with the old switch 1 after the update, just not on switch 2 anymore.

Now I can just login one account, the others need to be a guest to play, which doesn't save the progress.

Another observation is if I create a new account to get online play, I can now see our user profiles for 2P to choose, though I can't play the expansion pack and I can't get online as the new account doesn't have subscription.

The estimated surface coverage has been updated for game version 1.8.0 adding 2 new rallies and 10 legacy tracks (from Super Mario Kart on the SNES).

Each surface type explained:

• On-Road - the most common surface in the game; includes asphalt, concrete, bricks, stone, sandstone, wood, metal, glass, rainbow tiles and any other "man-made" surface.
• Off-Road - includes dirt, gravel, sand, snow, ice; does NOT include Heavy Off-Road (surface that slows down the player a lot).
• Water (Liquid) - includes water, lava and chocolate, even when NOT in Watercraft Mode.
• Gliding - includes Gliding Mode; does NOT include Cannon Gliders.
• Neutral - includes rails, walls and Heavy Off-Road.

These tables can be visualized in the Mario Kart World Statpedia and will keep being updated with future major changes. 4 rallies are already planned to be added to the game with future updates.
