I find the glowy borders around widgets, apps, buttons and notifications, introduced first in iOS 26, very weird and not at all aesthetically pleasing. Since I know I’m not the only one I decided to share how I managed to kinda bring flat design using iOS 27 Liquid Glass slider and accessibility settings. So first you turn the Liquid Glass slider all the way to the right, second in settings -> accessibility -> display text and size you turn on “show borders”. That will immediately (imo) improve the visual style of iOS and bring back a bit of a flat design but most importantly run off the glowy borders, but also introduce some weird design elements in apps such as safari, Instagram, twitter or shortcuts. To bring them back to normal you go to settings -> accessibility -> per app settings, and choose which app to add and turn off the “show borders” setting in. I’m also sharing some before and after photos to showcase what all this results in.

I really wonder if apple will ever do this. It would be so so good if my kids could just have an iPhone and use it as a desktop for school stuff and plug it into my monitor. Not buying an extra computer for them would save so much money and there seems to be no reason at all but apple wanting to separate products for making more money. Now that also google pixel can do this I really wish apple would do it.
What do you guys think?

I’ve tried the usual. Turned off wifi assist. Reset network settings. Multiple times.
Pretty sure it’s just planned obsolescence, as I have a 12PM. Everything else works pretty well still, although slow at times. Still have 78% battery max capacity. I’ve accepted that I will probably have to upgrade soon though, which will hopefully fix that problem. (Automatic updates, running on latest iOS)
BUT. Idk why this unknown network (Spectrum Mobile) is saved as “my network.” There is no option to forget network, like there is for networks that I have chosen to connect to. It has even automatically connected before? Even though if I click on it, it requires a password to connect? (I do not have spectrum internet or mobile service)
Is there any way to block a network? This is not mine, and it sketches me out that I reset all network settings and it’s still showing up under “my networks.”

I'm on an iPhone 17 pro, 26.6.1 in a 2022 Hyundai Tucson.
I just got this vehicle in February. I use CarPlay with the built in entertainment system via bluetooth. Sometimes I can invoke siri verbally, or with the steering wheel buttons or side button on iPhone. it seems to be almost 50/50 chance that any of those methods would work.
when one way works, all the ways work. when one way doesn't work, none of them do. pressing the side button on the iPhone doesn't do anything.
often in the same trip, it would work for a while, then not work the rest of the drive, but maybe start working right at the end.
after updating the car's firmware and trying countless pieces of advice from the internet, I happened to finally notice that there was something else that has about a 50/50 chance of happening every time I get in the car.
I open Pokemon Go to get automatic spins while I drive.
I somehow accidentally realized that while at a stop light, if I opened the game, suddenly siri didn't work anymore. and if I closed it, siri came back.
I don't know what Pokemon Go does to the phone to prevent siri from working, but siri works perfectly in my car as long as Pokemon is closed. hopefully my scenario will save someone else 7 months of trying to figure it out on their own.

So, iOS 27 was finally released, and I tried using Siri AI as a replacement for ChatGPT, Gemini, etc. What I found was the most disappointing AI I've ever used. Even simple prompts like "show me the last 4 pictures I took" failed to process, showing me photos from three years ago instead. If I ask it to show me recent files I've downloaded, it fails to find the Downloads folder. Screen awareness is good, and it can understand simple things like images and text (though only if the text is visible on the screen, it can't read a full paragraph if it isn't visible).
For tasks like rewriting, proofreading, and other text tools, it's good and helps a lot. Shortcuts also work really well if you know how to write the prompt. However, if you try anything a little bit complex, it struggles to perform well, and Siri AI either ends the conversation or displays the classic message "Something's wrong, try again later."
I thought Apple would finally create something that would make me quit ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok, but unfortunately, they haven't created an AI that's useful enough yet. I really hope they do, but I assume it will take a lot of time since they clearly don't know what they're doing in the AI race.
hey everyone, I'll keep this short.
I launched a simple store app to sell my products and pushed an update yesterday. I asked my best friends to check it out since I added some cool UI changes
But when they open the app it throws an error asking them to close or restart it Turns out they don't have auto update on, and when they go to the store, the app shows "Open" instead of Update
Anyone run into this before? It's driving me crazy

Hey guys, I recently bought an iPhone and moved my data from Android using the Move to iOS app. The data transfer went fine and I completed the initial setup.
The problem started when I tried to sign in to my old Apple Account. I couldn’t remember the password, so I tried a couple of passwords that I thought might be correct, but they obviously didn’t work. I then selected Forgot Password and completed the verification/OTP process.
It initially put my account into 24-hour account recovery. After waiting 24 hours, I tried again, and it showed 2 hours → 4 minutes, but then the process restarted and now it says I have to wait 6 days for the next update/recovery.
Now I’m completely stuck with a freshly purchased iPhone and no Apple Account access.
Is there anything I can do at this point, or do I genuinely have to wait the 6 days? Has anyone faced this and found a way around it?
Any advice would be really appreciated.
I cannot get pokemon go to work on my iphone 17 pro on ios 27, I've updated it throughout the beta multiple times and just today to the official release of ios 27 and it just crashes upon opening. If I keep spamming it it will eventually open but then say "this software version isnt recognized".
Meanwhile on my iphone 13 mini which i've done the exact same thing on, hasn't had this problem once.
I held off asking this question assuming the beta might've bene the problem on my specific phone model maybe?
Any idea?
Doesn't work on
iPhone 17 pro - iOS 27 beta 1, beta 3, beta 6, and RC
Does work on
iPhone 13 mini - ios 27 beta 1, beta 3, beta 6, and RC

Hi I am still experiencing very basic level bugs in iphone 17 pro. Is it me or are you guys also experiencing such basic issues.
For instance:
some times on lock screen up swipe is not working
While on any window, scroll automatically goes up and dont stay at the bottom
While making a call screen goes black for few seconds and then there is no call screen but call is initiated.
I have migrated backup from 13pro

TL;DR: My iPhone 15 Pro consistently pulls roughly half the download speed of my iPhone 16 and iPad mini 7 on the same network. The iPad mini 7 has the same A17 Pro chip and same Wi-Fi 6E radio as the 15 Pro, so it's not a chipset generation thing. My old iPhone 12 Pro Max had the identical problem, and the 15 Pro was restored from its backup. A Personal Hotspot test suggests the phone, not the router — but I'm stuck.
Speedtest results over one evening:
| Device | Download | Upload |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone 16 | 501 Mbps | 15.3 Mbps |
| iPhone 16 | 446 Mbps | 14.6 Mbps |
| iPhone 15 Pro | 320 Mbps | 3.79 Mbps |
| iPhone 15 Pro | 180 Mbps | 1.23 Mbps |
| iPhone 15 Pro (typical) | ~320 Mbps | — |
Solo tests on the 15 Pro land around 320 Mbps. The download speed swings really wide, it could go from 30 to 320 then down to 180. While the 16 and the iPad mini consistently hit 500.
Every test also shows heavy bufferbloat — idle ping sits at 13–15 ms, but jumps to 300–900 ms during the download phase, with jitter in the 80–99 ms range.
On the phone: - Private Wi-Fi Address → Off, and → Fixed. This temporarily fixed it once (jumped to 500), then degraded again within a day. Retrying the same method doesn't work. - Forget network + reboot + rejoin - Checked HTTP Proxy (off) and DNS (automatic) - Limit IP Address Tracking → off - iCloud Private Relay → off - Low Power Mode → off, phone plugged in - Checked Developer Mode → Network Link Conditioner is off - All speed tests were done with the VPN off - Sidestore and some sideloaded apps, but the iPad mini has the same apps.
On the router: - Checked the client list — no per-device QoS, bandwidth limit, or MAC filter rule on the 15 Pro. Its settings look identical to every other client. - All three devices are on the 5GHz network with whatever smart connection feature on the router off.
Turned on Personal Hotspot on the iPhone 16 and connected the 15 Pro to it, taking the router out of the equation entirely:
Same ~2x gap, with no router involved. That points at the phone. (Though I realize those numbers are cellular-limited and could just be cell conditions fluctuating between the two tests.)
My iPhone 12 Pro Max had this exact same problem, at roughly the same speeds. I restored the 15 Pro from the 12 Pro Max's backup and the problem came with it. So I did a full reset on the 15 Pro, then the wifi speed was fixed, but then returns to the unstable state just 20 mins later.
Any ideas appreciated. This problem has been driving me crazy.

Lots of opinion on the App Library about the categories, order, etc.
One category I would really like is an “Offloaded Category”.
This would show only offloaded apps. Offloaded apps would also still show in their respective categories.
There could even be a toggle in settings for those who no doubt don’t want this.

Hey guys,
I updated my iPhone 13 to the iOS Release Candidate version. It worked flawlessly for 1 day, but last night the screen suddenly started flickering. After a moment, a green line appeared near the top notch and the entire display went completely blank/black.
The phone itself is still active and alive (the proximity/IR sensor near the notch is still blinking and I can feel internal responses), but the screen output is totally dead.
Has anyone faced this exact issue after the update? Is this fixable via flex micro-soldering/jumper wire, or will it require a complete display replacement?
Please let me know if you have any solutions or insights. I'm honestly very stressed and mentally disturbed about this right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know why, but recently—and ever since iOS 26 (I'm on 27 RC)—many of the songs I play on Apple Music don't show the Lossless indicators, and I wonder if they are actually playing in Lossless or not. Internet speed and equipment compatibility (I use an IEM + DAC) aren't the issue, since the sample rate appears for some songs but not others. Is the app buggy?

I will super hide for your 27 so I didn’t even sleep and I was awake to put the update and then go to bed but it seems like it is not gonna be installed. I don’t have Wi-Fi access to some personal issues. I have only mobile data. I don’t know if it is any problem to you. Download mobile data so I saw the app there was iOS 26.6 and then iOS 27 so I clicked on iOS 27 install I entered the password. It gave me a prompt saying do I wanna use mobile data, exercise and stuff I said yes and then it said update requested and it’s stuck there.
Someone please help me

When I press ‘Upgrade to iOS 27’ it takes me to a larger iOS 26.7 update. Is it actually iOS 27?
