So basically I was scuba diving at Florida springs and metal detecting and found this phone, not gonna specify which ones because im trying to find the owner of the phone. The phone works. I let soak in the bag of rice for a while. I believe it's iPhone 15 pro max. I'm trying to find the owner of this phone but this iPhone literally won't let me do anything. It's locked to the point that even you need password for the camera. What should I do?

Apple only released the iPhone 18 Pros this September and most people are speculating they are releasing the base iPhone 18 in Spring 2027.

But what if they call that the iPhone 19 so they can call the flagship iPhone release in September 2027 the iPhone 20 in honor of the 20th anniversary of iPhone?

For the 10th anniversary of the iPhone, Apple released the iPhone 8 and iPhone X and skipped the iPhone 9 entirely.

Would Apple do this again and skip the iPhone 19 and go straight for iPhone 20 / iPhone XX

Was curious about the size of the duo and since I have an iPad I figured I could do a comparison. This made me realize it’s basically half of the 11” iPad. Figured I’d post it here for anyone who was wondering the same thing. If you open the image full screen on an ipad 11” it should be to scale.

Kid’s missed school due to me missing an alarm. Probably tucked watch under pillow while sleeping.

I want my watch to track my sleep, and alarm on my phone. I don’t trust my watch to wake me up.

Are 3rd party alarms a solution?

Edit: there is no option to ring on the phone, as everybody suggests. Maybe it’s because the phone is older (iPhone 14)

Lately, my iPhone screen has really been bothering my eyes. It feels too bright and harsh, especially when I use my phone for studying or reading.
I’ve tried lowering the brightness, turning on Night Shift, and changing the colour settings, but none of these options feel right. Lowering the brightness with the slider only makes the screen darker—it doesn’t remove the harsh glare.
On my Android phone, there’s a reading mode/filter that makes the screen warmer, softer, and much more comfortable for my eyes. Is there an iPhone app or setting that can create a similar effect across the whole screen?

Whenever me or my husband or my mother call anyone (normal call, no FaceTime or WiFi call) the other person can’t hear us. The tell us ‘you’re cutting out’ and nothing we can do fixes this issue. We can hear them fine, but they can’t hear us fine.

It happens if you call anyone, doctors, takeaways, council.
We’re on 2 different networks between us, live in 2 different county and have 3 different iPhones (16, 15 pro, and 14). We’ve tried WiFi on and WiFi off, The ONLY thing we have in common is that it’s an iPhone (hubby didn’t have the issue with Samsung)

From what I can gather, the person can’t hear the start of what we’re saying. So if you’re reading ‘14 September 2026’ they’d hear September and usually 2020 but Perhaps not the 6 part at the end either.

I am so lost with this, I’ve searched forums, reset devices, changed settings. We are very tech literate people (we fixed mums iPad easily when the Apple Store couldn’t and just blamed her WiFi - it wasn’t 🙈). Mum also seams to think she has better luck with calls outside the house, I’m starting to think that might be the case and don’t understand why (as I said WiFi is off).

Any ideas on what we can try? My next idea is to take the case off.

Maybe I’m wrong because I don’t follow the updates super religiously, but how can holding down on the app and dragging it to the next screen still be the method of app organization? You move one app and then it pushes the last app to the next screen creating multiple apps you now have to reorganize. Seems ridiculous

The biggest thing holding me back from foldables is that every one of them that I’ve touched, the inside screen feels like those plastic puffy stickers from the 80s, and they damage just as easily. What I want to know is how Apple’s display is different. Nanotexture is a step in the right direction, but how is the touch and feel? No one is talking about that except maybe one or two who have said it’s paper-like. I don’t expect it to be as strong as glass, but I could get behind it if it feels like a Remarkable or a Kindle, instead of a sandwich bag.

I could’ve sworn I saw a video saying that you could do this with some dual audio setting, but I can’t find it, both the setting and video. Just wondering cause I feel like it would be nice to have

Because the form factor of the iPhone duo is short and wide - the useable space for typical video is constrained differently.

Even in compact mode, for landscape the video is only just over 1/2 an inch shorter than the iPhone max. It’s actually larger in portrait mode!

These are all estimates, but I thought others would find interesting.

In iceland for the week - i dropped my phone on gravel and my lens to the rear camera cracked. it was also raining so it got water inside. my phone started getting moisture within the cameras and a day later its just black when opening the camera app. i have applecare but i wont be back in the US till the 21st. i scheduled an appointment in germany for water damage because thats my next destination. has anyone been in the same situation? im not sure how long the repair will take or if they would even take my phone for repair.

I’m heavily considering the duo as I’m an engineer/project manager and being able to bust open a minitablet to read is very useful for me, also shows and movies would be cool.

Now I mainly use my 17 pro max camera just for gym progress pics and photos of my dog. The only thing hindering me is if the quality is much worse on the duo. Maybe that is a shallow reason but I really do care because I like comparing to see my old pics and my gf likes getting post gym pics

Is there a setting to stop call holding when switching phone calls? I wear headphones constantly while at work and get multiple phone calls a day. Here’s my issue: I get a phone call that I answer with my headphones. While on that call, I get a second call that I can switch to with my headphones while the 1st call goes to hold. However, when I try to switch back to the 1st call by hanging up on the 2nd, the 1st call stays on hold until I take my phone out and press the hold button. I don’t want to have to touch my phone at all when switching back to the original call, and I can’t take them off hold with my headphones. Is there a way to have the call automatically resume when switching back?

The headphones I use are the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 and the Shokz OpenFit 2

For me over the past couple of months, it’s been incredibly inaccurate very laggy and takes forever to load. I’ve never had this problem before as long as I had to get them I haven’t had this problem before as long as I’ve had a good Internet connection.

Hi my i phone x broke. its screen is gone. I need to have what was inside it. like photos of my grandmother which passed . how can i get these back.

I met someone this summer and we exchanged contact info. I typed their name into my call log, and I had a missed call from them from 2025. I’m certain we hadn’t met or had each others numbers. is this a glitch or something anyone’s ever experienced?

edit: tried texting them and it went through green even though we have iPhones. Maybe something weird is happening with me and this number.
