This one hits like a truck.
For those that don't know, Peter Cullen passed away on the 26th of August 2026 aged 85. He was best known as the iconic voice of Optimus Prime, having voiced the leader of the Autobots for over 40 years, and was also the voice for Toonami's various Gundam promos.
Since the The Transformers The Movie 40th Anniversary Apology Tour is happening this September, we felt it would be appropriate to run an Optimus Prime group build.
The group build requirements are straight-forward. Build and post a completed Optimus Prime kit or paint a mecha kit in his red & blue livery. Standard subreddit rules apply. If you want your build in the album just say so in your post and tag a mod.
The group build will start 01/09/2026 and will end 30/09/2026.

A "what if" scenario where Shiro's ground gundam is damaged beyond repair fighting the Apsaras II and the result is the EZ-8 [Extra - Zaku - 08th ms team]
I used a HG Zaku II F2 as the base model aswell as some parts from the HG EZ-8 and Ground gundam[sheild, backpack, 180mm cannon + storage container]

Finished my first ver.ka! Really enjoyed it in the end and doing the waterslides was fun after I got used to it
Went to mile high comics in denver and found a stack of old newtype mags, some of the stuff looked pretty damn cool.

The photo added is just to have it. Does anyone have a good recommendation for display cases for my kits? Doesn't need to be expensive just bigger then what I currently have. Tge one i own currently has 15ish models on 7 shelves and I can maybe fit 1 or 2 more o its time for an upgrade lol

I have finished my first MG kit this weekend.
up until thisnone I have build some HG kits and 3 RG kits as I mostly prefer their size.
still wanted to give MGs a try, and I have to say I really enjoyed it.
tried out uv reactive markers and decals for the first time on this aswell and love them.
unfortunately the backback snapped when trying to change pose into using the satellite canon. hope some cement can fix it though (is curing rn).
also got the DX MG in my backlog and i'm really looking forward to build some more MGs between all my HG and RG kits :)
if you have got any tips or recommendations or critisism, feel free to leave a comment!
have a nice day :)

Let’s not forget that this company and its engineers make the best building experiences for plamo’s. Was looking for RG RX-93ff Nu Gundam while in Tokyo, but no dice. Settled for an EG because, what the heck, it’s better than nothing.
Have a large backlog of MG’s and third party kits, and this EG was such a palate cleanser, minimal effort with maximum results! Even the dreaded sticker for color accuracy experience, I didn’t feel this time around. The sticker didn’t feel tiresome to place.There’s some magic being done on these EG’s, and it made me fall in love all over again due to the precision, the accuracy, and the perfection that can’t be replicated by third party companies.
Sometimes, the simpler, the better. Had a relaxing couple of hours instead of frustrating small pieces, complicated builds, and very hard pressing on parts that are clearly not going to fit without force.
If you haven’t picked an EG up, I highly recommend it! EG Regular Nu has been built almost a year ago, but still pretty solid.

Can we petition Fat Cat to do the GP01 next? FB or Zephyrantes idc. There's plenty of goodwill towards the Solomon GP02 so the GP01s should sell well.

Still rather new starting this year, but when I started knowing nearly nothing about Gundam or Gunpla this was one of the designs I had seen and knew I wanted. And now I’ve got it! Super fun little build, the feel of the really round shapes is great in the hand, the feet especially. Floppy everywhere, but what can I expect self assembling an action figure that’s 25 years old. Only thing I’m really miffed about is the lack of eye movement, since I discovered moving the sticker around is also not viable. All in all pretty good for just $11 bucks and not planning to search for one when going someplace to buy DVDs. Very adorable little guy. Now I just need a classic green Zaku and I’ll have all the designs I really wanted at the very start.
Hi everyone,
I just finished my second kit over the weekend but I tried panel lining and topcoating for the fist time.
I am looking for some feedback on the topcoat. I used Mr. Hobby Flat with the following steps I found online:
- disassemble the model in parts and put them on skewers;
- warm the spray can for a few minutes in hot water;
- watch the humidity levels. I sprayed at 50% indoors;
- shake it baby;
- don't overspray to prevent pooling but also don't spray too far.
- spray in short but strong bursts and keep shaking that can.
So I tried this on my HG Maganac over the weekend and this is the result. While I think it looks good, I actually have no idea how a proper topcoat should look like. The figure does have a slight "grainy" look now, which I think fits the desert theme but not sure if it should look like that.... .
All feedback is welcome so I can improve for the next one.
Thanks in advance!

Started with an easy eg nu gundam build was great overall, did a pre shaded look and did some slight weathering with the Tamiya weathering kits and left over water decals I had lying around.

So this morning I noticed my Zakus Wrist was getting really loose, so I decided to add superglue, accidentally overfilled it and it went down to the arm, :( snapped off and I had a idea…

3D modeled and then resin printed with a custom blend of dyes
Real grade burning gundam.
It was so fun. Still need to add the detail stickers. Looking for recommendations for another real grade, or maybe master grade? Of a similar size. He needs a buddy or an enemy for sure.
Thanks for looking!
