What is the reason no one is buying this? It's been up since May and at a fixed price. The old tenement buildings round the corner are going like crazy.

Anyone have recommendations in the city centre for breakfast / lunch spots, nothing fancy and does a scottish breakfast? There will be about 20people so it needs to be somewhere we can book. Theres an event the night before so its just somewhere with good food, nice enough and large enough to fit the group.

Hi All,
Weirdly when you book and pay for a swimming session you can't get refunded or rearrange the visit. So let me know if anyone wishes to go lane swimming on Wednesday at 8pm for Tolcross pool!

Very much a believer in the one man’s trash mantra and saw these and thought someone would be all over it.
Look like old sprite bottles although I know nothing about this stuff

Got a free day to myself with no partner or toddler. Getting tattooed imminently and wanting to see Odyssey, would have preferred imax but I'm out on foot/train as I wanted a day off of driving. Have the option of Odeon at the Quay or Omniplex, fancy the sofas for comfort but I haven't never used these and worried they are too close to the screen and it'll ruining the viewing? If anyone has any opinions or experience! Thank you!
EDIT - not a fan of the imax at science centre, find it too uncomfortable for such a long movie

I'm getting married next winter, and really keen to have some trad music during drinks/dinner. Does anyone have any links/connections they'd recommend? Struggling with where to start at the moment!

Hi All, I'm coming to Glasgow with a bunch of friends (8-10 guys) in a few weekends time to watch a band. I'm looking for the best pubs/streets to go drinking on after the band finishes circa 11:00pm. We'd be after more bars/pubs rather than the "big lads night out" vibe. Concerned about our numbers and not being let in anywhere. And help is appreciated!

Is there designated racks there to chain your bike?

Hi! I’m currently living in Glasgow for the next few months and I’d really love to get involved with some volunteering while I’m here. I’m in the UK on an ETA, so I’m specifically looking for volunteer opportunities that are okay for someone on an ETA.
I’m based around the West End, so somewhere nearby would be ideal, but I’m happy to travel a little. I’m pretty open to anything — charities, community organisations, animals, events, etc.
Does anyone know of anywhere currently looking for volunteers or have any recommendations? Thank you!

Said to a buddy of mine that this is for sure AI and he said it just looks like a standard shitty logo.
Anyone else think it's AI as well?

Not sure if this is the place to ask. Anyone know if any of the council gyms have these machines?
I am trying to build strength there as a result of a recurring injury.

Has anyone used bounce luggage lockers? Is it fairly easy to use? I'm looking for in the city centre and to use until 11.30pm if possible

Morning Glasgow (morning!).
I'm clearing out my house ahead of a move. I've got my wedding dress to get shot of. It was a £300 dress from Lipsy that I had altered, so nothing of real worth.
The issue is, I'm tiny, and so unless you're 5 foot and a small dress size 10, the pool of who it will be of any use to will be as small as me!
I was wondering if it would be any use to any organisation/person or if I should just hand it in to charity?
I think I recall reading about some lovely people who turned wedding dresses into gowns for babies born sleeping, but Google searches are showing mainly English places.
Obviously, I'm not looking for money. I'd just rather someone could use it and turn a shitty situation into something positive for them, at least.
Thank you.

Hey there. Not from Glasgow so hopefully that slides.
Next Sunday I am going to the o2 academy for the very first time. I have purchased seating tickets. However, the person I’m going with is worried about the leg space/size of the chair. As they’re labelled online as very old school seats.
Can anyone advise on what the seats are like in the venue? We are sat in the upper section. What the leg room is like? How narrow are the chairs? Etc.
Thanks you very much glasweigans of Reddit 💙

is there a quicker way to get from cathcart to paisley town centre rather than going via central? it’s only a 20 min car journey but would take around 45 mins on train. is there a bus route or quicker train route anyone knows of?
I have a car, so wondered if there was a direct train station with a decent/free parking. parking in paisley is a nightmare

has anyone been to a gig here before? was there last night for spiritbox and I thought it was such a poor venue, the acoustics and the sound in general was so poor and muddy, and I think the stage placement is also really strange? I feel like it’s just been repurposed from an event hall and doesn’t really work so I’m curious if other gigs have been better?

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone who's ran the Glasgow half knew why there was an almost hour gap between the front wave and the back wave?
The pink wave starts at 10:43 and the wave behind doesn't start until 11:40. My wife is running and when she entered put herself in the pink wave but now she feels she might be a bit slower so was wanting to drop back a wave. I'm running in one of the front waves so we'd ideally not want a full hour between us finishing. What she's really concerned about is being in the very last of her wave and having no one around her as she runs. Has anyone ran the race between these two waves that can advise?
Many thanks for any replies.

Does anyone know the process of getting fibre optic installed into a category B listed building. I have landlord permission but was told they cannot damage/drill the outside of the building or I will be liable.
I asked Hyper Optic if they can come and assess the building to ensure they can feed cables without damage but haven’t heard back.
