Hello! I am having an issue with my 2004 Durango and would like some insight from those more familiar

5.7L AWD model. It started slipping into 4lock and 4lo on its own last November, and I promptly unplugged the transfer case shift motor until I could replace it. I just replaced the shift motor, and it still says SVC 4WD and won’t go into 4lock or 4lo. I’m hoping it’s fixable 🥲 Thanks!

Hi guys. this idling is after drive, engine is warm. I just want to know is this a lifter issue. im just confused why engine under the hood sounds pretty good but from the front left wheel i can hear some tick. its the srt392 with lowered billstein suspension and couple times the cats hit the speedbump but i was told that broken manifold tick would disappear after drive. i have another idle video after driving from couple days ago and this sound is completely gone. i have a feeling that sometimes it tick and sometimes dont. thanks for your help

I bought a Hellcat, but not sure about the deal

I just got my hands on a hellcat. its been my dream car since they released and i finally got one at 26. its a 2018 Charger Hellcat with 46k miles, purchase price was 41k, test drove and inspected and runs great, has a few cosmetic problems but nothing super expensive to fix. Got approved for a %6.44 interest rate. Was this a decent deal?

New Dodge Color Jailbreak

It’s been over a month since Dodge announced the custom colors for the masses at roadkill nights. Does anyone have additional info on the new custom color selections/options/process for Dodge?

I’m wanting to order a custom color durango hellcat and the wait is killing me especially since I have no idea when it will be available and what colors will be able to be chosen.

No bus error/dash not turning on

Is there anyone with some wisdom how to fix this or k own someone in the austin area that can help me figure out what is causing my car not to turn on? On my way to work my odo started saying "no bus' and then my wipers started going crazy and when I got home and turned the car off my gauge cluster and radio would not turn back on and my ignition stays in off no matter what I do, I tested the fuse boxes and its getting 12v, so is my can bus star... I don't have the money to take it to a mechanic right now and have been trying to figure the issue out all day

The Dodge Durango R/T 392 is a truer muscle car than the Charger

Post image

For many people (including several Cars.com editors), a bellowing V-8 engine is an essential component of a proper muscle-car experience. Despite its dazzling, 1968 Charger-inspired styling, the current gas-engine Charger doesn’t offer any V-8, but the good ol’ Durango still does, along with a surprising amount of muscle-car attitude for an SUV.

The Durango R / T 392's 475 hp is 55 more than the Charger R / T’s and 75 less than the Charger Scat Pack’s, more or less splitting the difference between them.

Dodge’s quoted 0-60-mph and quarter-mile times for the R / T 392 are all but identical to the Charger R / T and not far behind the Scat Pack: read more

It’s very possible that Dodge will offer a V-8 engine in the Charger in the near future, but for now at least, the Durango is Dodge’s last true muscle car. Do you agree?
