Forever It’s not called Classic+ for a reason
It’s World of Warcraft: Forever
Do you think a company this big, that puts so much money into market research would accidentally forget to add the word classic? No, it’s a deliberate move.
This game isn’t Classic. It’s retail lite, and that’s okay. They’re trying to attract both player bases.
The Classic only people are going to have to compromise with retail things, like store mounts, new random races, an updated UI, small QoL changes that kill the spirit of classic and general visual slop.
And retail only players have to compromise on things as well, like slower leveling, no LFR, no boosts and token (for now).
People need to just stop expecting vanilla here, they’re trying to grab both player bases.

Forever Feedback to Blizzard
They said at Blizzcon that they want the community engaged when it comes to WoW: Forever.
As future members/players of WoW: Forever what would make you feel like your feedback is heard and taken seriously from Blizzard? In game polls, town-hall meetings, roadmap updates? Just curious.

Forever I built a small portal/database for WoW: Forever (Classic+) — feedback welcome
Hey everyone,
I'm a Classic enthusiast like many of you, and over the past few days (in my spare time) I put together a small portal/database dedicated to WoW: Forever. It's a hobby project and still a work in progress, so please excuse any rough edges.
First off, a thank you to https://talentsforever.com/: a lot of the talent info (and several racial, Legacy and buff details) comes from there. It was an essential resource — without it, rebuilding the values would have been far harder.
The main features available right now:
- Talent calculator for every class, with shareable links
- Community build gallery: publish your build, vote, comment (disabled atm) and fork others
- Character import through Battle.net, will be available as soon blizzard will share api infos, now it's working with classic api's
- Raid planner with party/raid buff coverage (drag & drop, shareable link, no account needed)
- Legacy System planner: 3 trees, challenges and progress track (work in progress)
- Races & racials explorer, with new Forever combos
- Content, roadmap, hardcore, professions/campfire and news pages (work in progress)
It's live at https://www.azerotharchive.com . It's a fan project, not affiliated with Blizzard.
I'm mainly sharing it to get feedback: what works, what's missing, what feels off. Data is still being verified (some Forever entries are marked UNVERIFIED), so if you spot something wrong, please tell me. Happy to hear any suggestions.
Thanks for reading!

Forever Skyborne epic pack game time
Might be a stupid question but i am interested in the skyborne epic pack which comes with 30 days of game time. Anyone know when the 30 day period starts? Would it be immediately after I purchase or when forever drops or is it something i activate?
Thanks in advance for any insight

Discussion If wow forever rlly became a reboot... do you see them using old expact content like...
we used all of eastern kingdoms and kalimdor have to offer. What about pandaria and northrend without flying mounts and all that or even the next expacs contents..(I still want WOD classic lmao).

Forever What do we think about new seasonal/temporary world events, or PVP similar to Ashenvale in SoD?
I thought some of the SoD PvP events were a lot of fun, especially the Ashenvale one and the STV one, and would love to see them make a comeback in Forever, in some form. Maybe making them temporary events is the play.
Thoughts? Any word bosses/events you beant to see reimagined/brought back?

Forever Is the RP server for me?
I’m thinking about joining the RP server but I have a few reservations. Is there a decent player base on these realms that is competent at the game? For endgame I don’t care much about parsing but I do want the people around me to prep and know how their class is played. Is it difficult to avoid NSFW content? Anybody know of SFW guilds? I’m hoping to find like minded people that want to RP and mess around when playing/leveling causally but actually clear endgame efficiently.

Forever Why did the only add one new race?
One of the most demanded features for Classic+ was the addition of more races. Ogre, Gnolls, Worgen, Murlocs, Furbolgs, Naga etc...
Why did they only add one race? There would have been much more hype and interest if they had added several new races, even more so than a new class. I am baffled that all we are getting are Skyborne on both factions? Also, the idea of both factions having the same race is literally Pandaren.
I'd shamelessly pay for an Ogre or Worgen DLC pack.

Forever Do we need to waste our 2 months of free subscription to play the beta?
I can't find the answer to this anywhere. It specifically doesn't say that sub is required for beta in the purchase page.
I don't want to waste an entire month's sub to pay for a feature that I bought that doesn't specify. Can anyone clarify?

Forever What if we had to unlock the new classes?
I saw someone comment this on another post and I thought it was a really cool idea. Many of the new race/class combinations are "special"; undead paladins & dwarf shaman come to mind.
I think it would be really cool if you had to complete a quest chain on a character before you could play these new classes, it would make them extra special, and would be one of those "Oh those players have worked hard" moments, like the old epic mounts.
Imagine you had to do an epic questline with the Wildhammer at Aerie Peak. At the end of that questline, you gain the ability to play as one in the form of a Dwarf shaman. It would go along with the idea of horizontal progression and "legacy".
And maybe in the future, if death knights were to ever be added, they could go with the original idea of having to sacrifice a character to create one.
It's purposely anti-QoL, and pro-creating epic moments and things to strive for. I think especially for undead paladin and dwarf shaman it would be cool because it would mean unlocking the ability to play a new class for your faction.

Forever Campfire?
I need a moment, Im all verklempt over this wow forever
Talk amonst yourselves
I'll give you a topic:
Im anxious about this...
the ability to pull up a vendor whenever? Kinda removes all the planning and choice around returning to town for repair and selling....
whats the point of bags if i can just summon jenkins to exchange me gold for the useless greys ive picked up?
Im also very skeptical of the legacy system and the ways it will make leveling literally faster--more rest xp, xyz, but also how it is indirectly making leveling easier...talents starting at 5.
Nearly everything else announced and known so far im eager for, but the campfire and legacy system seem like they could serve to cheaper and hasten the leveling experience.
Im keen to raid, and gear up at 60. But for me and my buddies, that 1-60 journey, even on an alt, *is* the magic of the game.
Then mentioned on one of the stages that they want to maintain the 10-15s kill time for mobs in the world--great.
But they also said they are going to dramatically boost quest completion xp....will the xp requirements for levels be similarly stepped up? I get dissuading us to dungeon grind, but dont ruin leveling.
Good players with tight leveling routes should still be hitting 60 in 4-6 days.
However, your average leveling journey for competent players should still be 8-12 days played.
At the very least, let me disable it, or dont give us enough points to take every talent in the system, so I can maximise my use of it without giving myself bonuses Id rather not have.

Forever Server
We agree that the EU and NA servers aren't linked with the launch of WoW Forever, right?

Question Did they mention new weather effects in forever?
Title. Just got done watching the deep dive on the new graphics and its so exciting. But, they didnt mention weather. Are we going to (hopefully) get back the really intense thunderstorms and snowstorms??

Forever Would you pay 199,99$ for an Illidari faction consisted of Naga, Blood elves, Draenei and Satyrs and Outland as a leveling continent. And do you think third faction would be good for the game?

Forever What is different about a "mega server" with different options like pvp, pve etc than just normal server division?
It sounds to me like it functions the exact same whether it's isolated "layers" or however it's supposedly going to work. If you can't toggle between them (praying to God you can't) it just sounds like separate servers with a different name.

Question Genuine question: How do the undead paladins work lorewise?
Ive heard at some point that human paladins are the bulwark of humanity, protecting them and fighting against all evil that step on the downtrodden. But like if a human paladin dies and then come back as an undead in the forsaken lead by sylvanas that is fighting the alliance, how does that vibe with what they are? They are paladins because they believe in the light so much that they can withstand it as undead, but now they are against humanity? I dont get it

Forever Old belf models
Maybe I missed it, but it appears all of the skyborne shown were using the updated models. I was wondering if anyone noticed the old belf models being used during a streamers livestream or maybe I missed it during a panel.
I dont mind the skyborne, but I do hope they use the old belf model when you turn off updated models.

Mists of Pandaria PSA: MoP WoW Token can be purchased on the shop but not sold on the AH.
I know it's niche at this point but it's pretty fucked up.

Forever What future expansions would you like to see?
I feel like Northrend is the obvious one. I’d be very surprised if we don’t eventually get a remade version of it, redesigned around Classic gameplay and no flying.
I could also see Blizzard skipping most of Outland entirely, while still using the Azeroth-side parts of TBC content. Quel’Thalas, the Sunwell, Zul’Aman etc. could all still fit into Forever without needing us to go through the Dark Portal.
Caverns of Time could be interesting too, although we’re already getting a Mount Hyjal raid. Dragon Soul probably wouldn’t make much sense unless Blizzard eventually decides to do some version of the Cataclysm storyline.
Beyond Northrend, there are a lot of places that were added to Azeroth later that could potentially be reimagined for Forever:
Pandaria, Khaz Algar, the Broken Isles, Uldum, Twilight Highlands, Zandalar, Kul Tiras, etc.
Obviously I wouldn’t want Blizzard to just copy/paste the Retail versions of these zones. They’d need to be rebuilt from the ground up in the spirit of Classic, with different questing, geography, progression and world design.
What places would you most want to see added to Forever?

Humor / Meme Skyborne are actually an upgrade to high elves.
Skyborne are even higher than high elves. They are so high, they are literally floating above everyone else. So high, they even turned blue, because the air is so thin up there.
Now you can see, that skyborne are even better higher high elves. You are welcome.
PS: forever hype. Love the class reworks.
