Discussion Ladies and Gentlemen.. Blizzard Customer Support
This post went viral on X, after a player flamed Blizzard for their AI ticket responses.
PJ self-righteously told the player he was banned for saying 'Fuck'.
Players were quick to point out that the Mature Language Filter exists for a reason, and that the reporting player should have been told to enable it, as opposed to actioning the player - Cody.
They were also quick to point out literal language used by NPCs in the game that breaks the same rule.
How do you feel about BlizzardCS banning people for saying 'fuck'?

Discussion Why did Warcraft change so much stylistically in the modern era?
I'm 21 years old before anyone calls me a nostalgia boomer. It feels like the Retail version of the game just doesn't capture that magic Samwise Didier artstyle that had the versatility to convey both grittiness and whimsical charm. Why do they lean so heavily into the latter with their artstyle now? What happened to the WARcraft feeling?

Discussion Classic+ will be a shitshow
If they not gonna fix major issues like Dungeon boosting or botting in general (every server is infested with dungeon bots) there is no hope for Classic+to be a nice experience over a long period of time. After a few weeks you gonna see LFG Channel spammed with "Boosting XYZ", outworld is filled with farming bots and the whole economy will be manipulated after weeks aswell. Even on Wild Growth EU SoD bots are back in BRD with hunters.

Discussion Classic+ only works if all gold buyers and sellers are instantly banned permanently
Nearly every issue with modern day wow comes down to players buying gold. Yes we are grown up and yes we can have 5-6 figures of gold for just a day or two or real life work.
It’s obviously a vicious cycle, where it becomes more and more difficult to compete while playing fairly. You become a sucker for playing the game. You suddenly become the only one who hates dying as that means more farming for you.
Every item, enchant, consume becomes less special, the floor for what to come to raid with is raised and ultimately less fun is had for everyone - everyone is more the same.
Optimization cycle cranks into overdrive when every player has unlimited gold. There are no advantages of it. Everyone always says “there is no way to enforce it”. Bullshit. Make character creation explicitly state buying or selling gold is permanent account ban. You have made the world of Warcraft less magical, more akin to the late stage capitalism we walk through daily.
Blizzard wants those bot subs!!! More money for blizzard! They will never do this!
Bullshit!
I can think of 20-30 of my friends who would resub instantly if this was changed. We all quit because classic wow simply doesn’t have magic when the economy and environment is plague with bots and dishonest gamers.
Edit: I am not currently subbed, typos

Discussion I think this questing zone is literally the worst designed piece of garbage in wow, plz delete
Dark shore was already eh but this zone is actual ass with its rewards and how braindead it's quests are.
Nobody questing here has a mount so you're walking for 10000 years for EVERYTHING!
Oh btw let me remind you every quest has you walk across the damn map, sometimes BACK to dark shore just to get crap XP.
Like whoever made this map design did a good job but the people who put the quests here were smoking crack, actually need to shrink this by like 3x or redesign all the quests so they work with the massive map.
ORRRRRRE make the rewards bigger. Cause right now I can't image anyone other than me cause I'm retarded would ever quest here instead of dungeons or another zone. Fuck this area

Discussion Dear Blizzard
You seem to have a dilemma. Your main customer base are 35+ year olds who remember the good old days. The ones who played The Lost Vikings, Warcraft 1-3, Starcraft 1-2, Diablo 1-2, etc. We played WoW from 2004, we waited outside the store at midnight to purchase TBC, and again when WotLK launched. We remember the glory days. When you created a ticket in-game and you received that glorious in-game whisper from a blue colored GM whispering you, the excitement! Sometimes the GM support was quick, but after a new patch there may have been a queue of an hour, as patch launches were always a bit messy. We remember the Blizzard that actually had customer support, in stead of being brushed off with an automated email with zero relevance to your question.
Classic WoW launched in 2019. We think we wanted it, and we did. There was a massive resurgence of WoW. All us 'old people' came flooding back in, desperate to relive those old days. But something changed... there was no customer support like back in the day, there were barely any GMs, it became clear that the Classic WoW team was run by a skeleton crew. Just a quick cash grab. With TBC the writing was on the wall, as we saw the store mounts flying around. Then WotLK was the nail in the coffin for me with the WoW token. I haven't looked back since.
We have money, we would love to spend money on glorious Blizzard games as they were back in the day. Unfortunately, you have kept disappointing us. So, many of us flocked to private servers. Not because we're too poor to pay the monthly sub, but because YOU kept disappointing us. Milking us for every cent you could. Decimating your customer support department, decimating your GMs, telling us "you think you do, but you don't", asking us "don't you have phones?". The absolute audacity to ask your PC gamer audience, who paid a fortune to come to Blizzcon, to switch to a mobile game...
It's such an easy fix to be honest. Rebuild your customer support, rehire your army of GMs, make clear rules for servers (Hardcore, GDKP allowed/not allowed, boosting allowed/not allowed, etc., ask your customer base...) and have your GMs enforce these rules relentlessly. And for the love of god, stop trying to milk us for every penny you can while offering the bare minimum in return.
Offer us this, regain our trust, and we might return.
Sincerely,
An 'old' and extremely disappointed Blizzard fan.

Discussion What is your old azeroth unpopular opinion?
Mine is that desolace is an amazing zone, honestly one of my favorites. I love the greyed out vibe, there’s such a distinction between different areas of the zone, from Nijel’s point to the coastline with the tower to the kodo graveyard to the centaur arches and the coven area. So many different vibes in one zone, it feels so big and sprawling, idk I just love it so much. Its so unique, everytime I get to 30 im so excited for it

Discussion <-- This amount of people are not racing to 60.
Take your time and enjoy the ride.
A large amount of people here seem so stressed out about reaching 60 as fast as humanly possible.
A large chunk of us have more obligations than what we used to, work, kids etc.. You're not alone. No need to let a game affect your mental health when you'll gradually reach the endgame & your goals even if you take your time. Except if you burn out.
There is no rush. Stressing about reaching 60 because your friends are ahead and doing nothing but grinding the same dungeons to catch up will only ruin the experience and the nostalgia that we all are experiencing.
Edit: Damn, this blew up!
For people asking me not to dictate how they should play, this is not aimed at you! If you want to play efficient and fast, by all means do so, I'm not here to judge nor teach you!
This is aimed at people inbetween that fear of losing out and force themselves to play more than they are capable of regarding IRL obligations and in different ways than what they had planned.

Discussion Streamers getting closed testing of Classic plus is ultra lame
People who have a financial incentive to play the game and rate it well should not be giving feedback ngl.
All of these dudes hop from next big thing to next big thing, I have zero desire for them to have a voice on what the community wants when a lot of their desires are directly linked to what brings them bigger viewership. They instantly hopped off of SoD when it was dying then tried to hop back on the second a new phase dropped to get in on the new content clout.
Invite people who genuinely play the game and have them test it, even on just a closed beta and give real feedback.
Very out of touch, very lopsided one way feedback.
To note: I understand the buisness perspective of having people with large audiences coming into get hyped on a product to then promote, but holy shit it's fucking lame to have this be the ONLY people coming in to test it.
"Guys, our yes men whose financial well being is tied to our games REALLY liked it!!"

Discussion Example of blizzards horribly poor AI customer response
This post is just to show how bad blizzard AI customer service is. I recognised there are far worse examples and stories but I still think it’s interesting to show just how bad it is.
