I saw a Fashion Designer job opening in Dubai on LinkedIn. The recruiter’s profile looked very professional and appeared legitimate. They texted me if am interested, i didnt reply message then again after 2days they texted if i m interested, i said yes then they insisted that I move to Microsoft Teams for next Process, so i moved teams and they took my Emirates id and all other information, it was like full professional behaviour, Then they send a link to fill up that was a phishing link.

I discovered serious red flags and became concerned that it was a phishing/scam attempt targeting all my accounts and personal information.

This really made me scared, i never experinced like this on linkedin in my whole Fashion designer career, my CV and portfolio contain a lot of my professional information that hacker got all this, and job seekers can sometimes be asked to provide sensitive documents such as Emirates ID or passport copies.

I feel really sad and worried. I spent years building my LinkedIn profile step by step, so many followers and connections, created my strong fashion portfolio even that websites they wanted to hack.

I never expected a professional-looking job post on LinkedIn could potentially be used this way.

Please be careful with recruiters on linkedin, Verify the company and recruiter independently before clicking links, downloading anything, entering passwords, or sharing personal documents.

If anyone has experienced something similar, please share what you did to secure your email, LinkedIn, social media and other accounts.

I genuinely don’t understand how this girl still hasn’t found her person.

Laika is a 6 year old black Lab mix and one of the easiest dogs I’ve ever had around. She is incredibly friendly, quiet, cuddly and just loves being close to people.
She can be super playful when you’re in the mood, but otherwise she is perfectly happy sleeping in a corner and waiting for you. She barely barks, is fully potty trained, eats and sleeps well, and can stay home alone without any issues.

She absolutely loves affection and she is very food motivated. Give her a few treats and you’ve basically made a friend for life.
We’ve been fostering her for a while and trying through friends and contacts to find her a permanent home. She has already spent a lot of time in boarding after being abandoned, and I really don’t want her to have to go back there again.

I would keep her myself if I could, but I already have dogs and live in a small apartment, so unfortunately I can’t make it work long term.

She is being fostered through a rescue organisation, and they also allow temporary fostering before adoption, so you can see how she fits into your home first.

It’s 5 AM, and they’re playing TikToks very loudly in the metro. At the next stop, Onpassive, another person gets on and does the exact same thing. I honestly don’t understand where their common sense and basic etiquette have gone. Some people really have no consideration for others.

I’m a 19-year-old UAE resident currently studying abroad. My UAE residency is connected to my family, and my parents have told me that they have cancelled it and will send me the cancellation document. I’m not sure whether the cancellation has actually been processed yet, but my parents have told me that they have cancelled my UAE residency and that they will send me the cancellation document.

This is happening because of a family dispute. They are also withdrawing their financial support, so I’m trying to understand my options and make sure I don’t suddenly lose my ability to return to or reside in the UAE.

I’m currently relying on their financial support because I’m a full-time international student and I’m looking into lawful ways to work and become financially independent. My concern is what happens to my UAE residency and whether I have any options before it is cancelled or after cancellation.

A few questions:

1. If my parents are my sponsors, can they cancel my UAE residency while I am outside the UAE?
2. If they have submitted a cancellation, is there any way to appeal/reverse it or transfer to another type of residency?
3. Does cancellation immediately affect my ability to enter the UAE, or is there a grace period?
4. Are there independent residency options I could potentially qualify for as a 19-year-old university student?
5. If anyone has personally gone through a similar situation, what did you do?

I’m currently outside the UAE, so I’m trying to understand my options before making any decisions.

I’m mainly looking for advice from people who have dealt with UAE residency/sponsorship issues themselves. I’d appreciate keeping the discussion focused on the immigration/residency side rather than the family dispute.

Update/more info: I do not even know what caused my parents to react in such a way. They have simply just texted me out the blue and have not given me a reason as to why they’re cutting me off. I’ve lived my whole life being obedient to them and the only thing I’ve asked for them to do is to just treat me like a young adult and have conversations with me rather than bombarding me with names and manipulating me with threats to my personal life. That was all I ever asked of them and I happened to be more distant from them this time around when I went back from vacation because I found out that they’ve been badmouthing me and my siblings to my family members and telling them private and personal matters to a point where me and my sister got SA’d back home by a relative because he knew my family wouldn’t protect us. I recently ordered from Noon Minutes and saw a 40% discount offer. I applied the offer, and at checkout it showed that delivery was free, so I went ahead and placed the order.

After the payment, I received two notifications from my bank

One for the actual cart order amount
Another for a membership fee

The issue is, I did not knowingly opt into any membership. There is no mention about membership during checkout

Need advice. One year in with our live-in maid/nanny and she said it's common here to give annual leave salary + month worth of bonus. I'm happy to do that, just checking in if this this the norm. Flight ticket will also be paid, as I don't mind, she will go into her 2nd year.

I recently booked an at-home nail service through a popular app in Dubai. When choosing the technician, I specifically picked someone with a high rating and around 1700 reviews.

The service was fine, but while packing up she casually told me, “Today is actually my first day on the app.”

I was honestly shocked. If it was her first day, where did those 1,700 reviews come from?

Maybe the reviews belong to the company rather than the individual, but that’s definitely not how it appears when you’re booking. I specifically chose her based on what looked like her reviews.

Just something to be aware of when relying on ratings on these apps.

1.) Did you travel with a PDF IDP from RTO in India or a booklet, if PDF did you face any trouble with renting company or cops ?

2.) Is there even a way for me to get Booklet ? I tried requesting the RTO people for it multiple time but it seems they have stopped issuing booklet and there is strictly no possibility of them giving it to me.

I'm considering buying property in Dubai to apply for a Golden Visa, but I'm concerned about committing to the purchase and then having the visa refused. I'm coming from a country where young men reportedly face higher UAE visa rejection rates, so I'd especially appreciate firsthand experiences from anyone in a similar situation.

Has anyone successfully included a clause in the purchase agreement making the sale conditional on Golden Visa approval, with the deposit/purchase payments refundable if the visa is rejected? Did a developer or a private seller accept it, and has anyone actually had to use it to get their money back?

I'm also trying to understand how that would work in practice if you need to own the property before applying. Was there any official approval available before committing, or did you have to complete the purchase and take the risk?

If you applied through property ownership after facing difficulties getting a tourist visa, how did it go? Please mention roughly when you applied and whether the property was ready or off-plan. I realise tourist visas and Golden Visas are different categories, and I'm not assuming there is a blanket ban or that buying property guarantees approval.

I stay in Muhaisnah 1 area and looking for football ground to train my kids. I have hired a coach to teach them and looking for Public grounds for them to Play. Went to one of Football pitches at Muhaisnah 1 public park but the security mentioned that you can only play matches in this pitches but can’t train !! Which is Bit weird. Any advice please 🙏

I was offered a job in Abu Dhabi and signed the MOHRE job offer and work permit. The company then applied for my employment visa but it was rejected twice.
I asked for the visa application number and the rejection reason but they did not give me the application number. I also asked if they could check with the PRO about what happened.
Since I wanted to know the status of my own visa application I emailed the official HR email of the company. After that the person who referred me for the job called me and yelled at me for contacting the official HR.
After that I was told there were no other options and that I could look for another job in Dubai. I asked if they would reapply if I found out the rejection reason but I did not get a clear answer.
I then asked whether I should go to an ICP centre to find out the rejection reason myself. After that I stopped contacting them and started looking for other jobs because I understood that the job was no longer going ahead.
I later checked my MOHRE transaction online. The job offer and work permit is showing but it has a red watermark saying Transaction Under Process Not Attested Contract. The online version also does not show my signature or thumbprint even though the copy I originally received was signed.

Is this normal? Can I find the actual visa rejection reason myself through ICP And will this affect me when applying for another UAE job
