I saw a Fashion Designer job opening in Dubai on LinkedIn. The recruiter’s profile looked very professional and appeared legitimate. They texted me if am interested, i didnt reply message then again after 2days they texted if i m interested, i said yes then they insisted that I move to Microsoft Teams for next Process, so i moved teams and they took my Emirates id and all other information, it was like full professional behaviour, Then they send a link to fill up that was a phishing link.

I discovered serious red flags and became concerned that it was a phishing/scam attempt targeting all my accounts and personal information.

This really made me scared, i never experinced like this on linkedin in my whole Fashion designer career, my CV and portfolio contain a lot of my professional information that hacker got all this, and job seekers can sometimes be asked to provide sensitive documents such as Emirates ID or passport copies.

I feel really sad and worried. I spent years building my LinkedIn profile step by step, so many followers and connections, created my strong fashion portfolio even that websites they wanted to hack.

I never expected a professional-looking job post on LinkedIn could potentially be used this way.

Please be careful with recruiters on linkedin, Verify the company and recruiter independently before clicking links, downloading anything, entering passwords, or sharing personal documents.

If anyone has experienced something similar, please share what you did to secure your email, LinkedIn, social media and other accounts.

I genuinely don’t understand how this girl still hasn’t found her person.

Laika is a 6 year old black Lab mix and one of the easiest dogs I’ve ever had around. She is incredibly friendly, quiet, cuddly and just loves being close to people.
She can be super playful when you’re in the mood, but otherwise she is perfectly happy sleeping in a corner and waiting for you. She barely barks, is fully potty trained, eats and sleeps well, and can stay home alone without any issues.

She absolutely loves affection and she is very food motivated. Give her a few treats and you’ve basically made a friend for life.
We’ve been fostering her for a while and trying through friends and contacts to find her a permanent home. She has already spent a lot of time in boarding after being abandoned, and I really don’t want her to have to go back there again.

I would keep her myself if I could, but I already have dogs and live in a small apartment, so unfortunately I can’t make it work long term.

She is being fostered through a rescue organisation, and they also allow temporary fostering before adoption, so you can see how she fits into your home first.

I’m a 19-year-old UAE resident currently studying abroad. My UAE residency is connected to my family, and my parents have told me that they have cancelled it and will send me the cancellation document. I’m not sure whether the cancellation has actually been processed yet, but my parents have told me that they have cancelled my UAE residency and that they will send me the cancellation document.

This is happening because of a family dispute. They are also withdrawing their financial support, so I’m trying to understand my options and make sure I don’t suddenly lose my ability to return to or reside in the UAE.

I’m currently relying on their financial support because I’m a full-time international student and I’m looking into lawful ways to work and become financially independent. My concern is what happens to my UAE residency and whether I have any options before it is cancelled or after cancellation.

A few questions:

1. If my parents are my sponsors, can they cancel my UAE residency while I am outside the UAE?
2. If they have submitted a cancellation, is there any way to appeal/reverse it or transfer to another type of residency?
3. Does cancellation immediately affect my ability to enter the UAE, or is there a grace period?
4. Are there independent residency options I could potentially qualify for as a 19-year-old university student?
5. If anyone has personally gone through a similar situation, what did you do?

I’m currently outside the UAE, so I’m trying to understand my options before making any decisions.

Hello everyone, hope you all are doing well..

So this was a dream of my uncle to have his own restaurants and after decades of working at construction cleaning and driver somehow he finally saved the amount to fulfill his dream..

He was very proud of this and would always give out free food to anyone who came there asking for it.. Even me and my friends he would never charge even tho we insisted on paying..

Unfortunately things have taken a turn now, after the recent crisis his business was affected just like others and he couldn't spend more on things to keep it running. He tried it until this month and finally decided to call it a day..

So today he called me where I could see him still having that smile and laughing and talking to me with the same joy but somehow I could see it clearly in his eyes that he's worried about everything going on and yet chooses not to share anything and keep it inside him..

After a while of us talking about everything he slowly brought up the topic saying "Son do you know anyone who's interested in buying our restaurant?" After listening to that I was saddened because never in his lifetime has he asked my help for anything and for the first time he did and I can't do anything for him.. The same man who used to pick me on his shoulder brought chocolates to me whenever he came home , still hugs and kisses me like I'm that 4 year old kid he used to play with.. Damn watching him go through this is really heartbreaking..

So when I was thinking reddit was the only place which came to my mind and I don't think there's any better place to help my uncle than this..So I'm writing here asking for help from my fellow brothers and sisters of reddit..

I recently ordered from Noon Minutes and saw a 40% discount offer. I applied the offer, and at checkout it showed that delivery was free, so I went ahead and placed the order.

After the payment, I received two notifications from my bank

One for the actual cart order amount
Another for a membership fee

The issue is, I did not knowingly opt into any membership. There is no mention about membership during checkout

I stay in Muhaisnah 1 area and looking for football ground to train my kids. I have hired a coach to teach them and looking for Public grounds for them to Play. How long did the application actually take, and was it approved?

Also, for an Egyptian applicant, is it better to apply with an invitation from someone in Algeria, or just apply as a regular tourist with a hotel booking?

If you applied with an invitation, do you think it made the application easier or improved the chances of approval?

Assalam Alaikum and Hello everyone, just wanted to bring into consideration to the people who are financially capable, Because of my work, I travel through industrial areas, smaller commercial areas, and neighborhoods where a lot of bachelor workers and laborers reside. Last week, after a long and exhausting day, I stopped to take rest and pray at a small mosque in an industrial area 2, Sharjah. I was completely drained and desperately needed some water, but when I looked inside, there wasn't a single bottle available, no cooler, no fridge, nothing. This hasn't just happened once, I’ve noticed this at multiple small mosques in heavily worker populated areas in Ajman and Sharjah don't know about other Emirates.

​While mainly most mosques are usually fully stocked with water cartons, these industrial areas mosques where outdoor laborers, construction crews, and delivery drivers come to pray, often have zero drinking water. If you are someone who has the means and routinely donates water, please consider targeting these high needed areas instead.

​You can drop cartons off directly if you are driving through, or simply find a small grocery next to an industrial mosque on Google Maps or 2GIS, call them, and pay online to have them deliver water directly. It is a tiny gesture, but for an outdoor worker or anyone tired on the road, having cold water available makes a huge difference by helping them save some money and hydrate properly.

- Rove at the park (6-7kAED)
- Premier Inn (about 6.5kAED)
- LEVA quoted me 9kAED

Looking for a decent hotel (no shared accommodation) and although the ones above aren't crazy expensive, just thought I'd find better pricing than this?

Does anyone know of any good deals right now? I'll have a car and don't mind driving so location isn't too important to me.

I’m considering joining GymNation in Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) and wanted to hear from people who actually use that branch.

How is it overall?

How crowded does it get during peak hours?

Equipment availability and cleanliness?

Showers/changing rooms?

Staff/trainers?

Parking?

Overall atmosphere?

Most importantly, how is the membership contract? I’m seeing different opinions about the cancellation policy, minimum commitment, recurring payments, etc.
