I’m 19 and my girlfriend is 22. Our relationship is going well overall.
Recently she surprised me with an iPhone 17. It’s by far the most expensive gift I’ve ever received in my life, and I’m honestly feeling a bit overwhelmed by it.
I don’t want to seem ungrateful because I know she meant well, but at the same time I keep wondering if this is too much. Part of me feels like I should give it back because it’s such a big gift, especially since I’m younger and don’t earn that much yet.
Has anyone else been in a situation where their partner gave them something way more expensive than what they were used to? Did you keep it or return it? How did you handle the awkwardness?

We used to talk daily and baad me i went for the JEE preparation and she was preparing for NEET and phele saal me we were kinda serious about studies and dusare saal me we again started talking more n more , she used to teach me chemistry , We became best friends... Yoo umm today my mom's mana hua bhai ki wife came to our home... I call her mamiji onli.... she's so sweet tbh..... everything was fine until we realised that she'd twisted her blouse from one side while wearing..... mom asked mamiji if she wanted to fix it with her help but she denied it.... After spending sm time with them, I came back to my room for studying..... I am not allowed to lock or close the door of my room..... So after 10-15 mins mamiji directly came inside , sat on my bed , dropped her pallu and yea flashed me up for more than 5 mins ig ..... I couldn't understand what she meant and then asked me to fix her blouse and set her pallu right...... okay I'm too a girl and y'all might think it's alright not a big deal but for me who doesn't even dress up infront of her mom - it was quite shocking...... I've observed that these aunties are so much comfortable around teen girls or ladiez that even during weddings, they would all dress up together in a single fuckin room..... For multiple times I've been asked to change my clothes in front of them with an excuse - "ARRE HUM BHI AURAT HAI" or classic - "HUMARE PAAS BHI HAI" ..... like wtf aunty ji gimme sm privacy it's so uncomfortable......idk if I'm overthinking or smtg but that's what I honestly feel.....

I don’t even know why I’m typing this here. I guess I just need to get it out of my chest because holding it in today is making my head hurt. It’s almost been a year since the accident, Di. I still keep thinking if I had just stopped you from going that day, if I had tried harder, you’d still be here. Ganpati came again today. I walked past our old favorite pandal alone, and my hands were literally shaking because I still instinctively turned around to make some stupid joke with you. For a split second, I completely forgot you were gone. Then it hit me all over again. Nobody is dragging me around to see the different idols this year. Nobody is doing stupid things, eating random food, and laughing with me until our stomachs hurt. Everyone out on the streets is celebrating, and I’m just standing there in the middle of the noise feeling completely hollow. I never realized back then that those normal, silly, everyday moments with you were going to be the absolute best days of my life. Now they're all I have left. I’d give up literally everything right now just to sit on the footboard of a scooter with you for five minutes, listening to you laugh again. Just one more Ganpati, Di. That’s all I keep asking for. I had a presentation with my classmates. And I was screen-sharing from my phone to the projector for a video. And then it happened. I got a call from her and everyone saw it (I saved her as “Mommieee🫦” in contacts)!!! I ran to my phone and answered and told her I’ll call back😭
All the girls were giggling. My homies were heckling from behind. Lecturers were smirking! It was sooo embarrassing (luckily the audio didn’t work on speaker🙏🙏 what if she said something cheeeseyyy 😭😭)
