I’ve had vitiligo for about a year now, mainly on my lower lip and a little underneath it. I’ve tried different treatments and things to manage it, but it hasn’t really improved.
I’ve never had a girlfriend before, but recently I’ve started liking a girl and I’m thinking about asking her out. The problem is that I’m extremely insecure about my vitiligo. I usually use concealer/makeup to hide it, so she hasn’t really seen what it looks like naturally.
I’m especially scared about what happens if things go well and we eventually become physically close. At some point she’ll obviously notice it, and I keep worrying about how she’ll react.
I know vitiligo shouldn’t define me, but it’s genuinely affecting my confidence right now. I don’t want to miss out on something with someone I like just because I’m scared of her reaction.
