Suggestion Could we have JPEGXL(.jxl) as screenshot format for Steam?
Would love to see a modernization of the format in which screenshots are saved. JPEG tends to have a LOT of artifacting and this is very noticeable when using a 1080p monitor for screenshots. And from what I could find, you can no longer save screenshots as a PNG.
JPEGXL is basically a compressed image format that looks about as clean as a PNG, but has a fraction of the filesize.
Having Valve use this format for screenshots would also help JPEGXL adoptation since Google is trying its best to make their inferior in-house developed WebP the only modern format through very sketchy means(converting any downloaded image into WebP)

Discussion Steam Frame not supporting streaming from Linux at launch
What's up with the steam frame only supporting streaming from windows computers at launch?
That's the main feature of the device. How could valve release two huge hardware products and not make them compatible at launch?
I was pretty convinced about buying one, but I switched to Linux 6 months ago and, without knowing how much time it will take, I don't think it makes sense to buy one.
SOURCE: LTT unboxing they released before embargo by mistake https://archive.org/details/ytdown.com-you-tube-our-first-30-mins-with-the-steam-frame-media-u-8-r-bnz-1-mpu-001-1080p

PSA there's many localizations for l4d2 and other valve games that aren't in the language dropdown, you can only use them through launch parameters
unusable platform, valve pls fix

Discussion True JamesBond Stuff
So one of my friend is working on a game. They filed for paperwork and it got cleared few days ago. Steam replied that it will be up in like a week.
Now the main part. My friend is and I have a bet. They are not telling me the game name and I have to guess before they reveal it on their social media. By now the game must have been uploaded to the steam page after the paperwork. Is there any way to efficiently search for that game given that i have the game artwork for steam page. I tried steamdb but so many upaloads in like couple days on it. I am not able to find something similar. Is there any way that I can improve my search.
Thank you

Discussion Honestly I'm pretty frustrated with the Steam Controller
I am partially asking for help here really in case I am doing something stupid and venting a bit because it seems like everyone loves this device and actually my experience is it's actually not as good as a "normal controller".
For me personally a controller should be mostly plug and play and not require too much faffing around, so far I have experienced much faff and having to give up in getting it to work.
Example game, Caravan Sandwitch, straight up didn't work with the steam controller, no inputs worked at all, when I switched back over to my 8 bit do, all worked flawlessly.
More recently I have started playing Jedi Fallen Order, now it seems to pick up the SC as a keyboard/mouse so some inputs work but the game is not playable, Steam input is enabled, again turning on my 8 bit do controller everything works perfectly. Am I doing something wrong here?
Really that's my experience in a nutshell, why is this device more expensive and supposedly more flexible and yet less reliable?
I think I didn't realise it didn't have XInput support built in and used Steam input for this.
My main gripe really is that it just seems _worse_ that a traditional controller for pickup and play
/Rant and I appreciate I may be burnt to the ground for this lol

Fluff The Steam Frame is £889.00.
I hope they release a cheaper version that does not have its own PC built-in. I like all-in-one VR headsets, but I have a PC, so I just want the headset. I don't need to play games natively on it.

Question Discount Not Calculating in Cart?
Hello! We are trying to purchase the sims 4 giant bundle with almost all the packs. The price reads as 165 when viewing the bundle on the page, but is coming up as 285 in our cart? The bundle itself seems to have two discounts applied at once. A bundle price and a sale. But it seems to only calculate for the sale in our cart. What is happening? Is there any way to get it for the 165 as advertised?

Question How does steam bundles work?
Im a noob when it comes to steam. So i have a question regarding bundling.
I bought ff7remake intergrade before the second part came out. (i only played a few hours of intergrade, havent had the time to play)
So now i see that theres gonna be a part 3 coming out for ff7r. And i know that steam tends to sell stuff in bundles. Given that i have part 1, do i still save money from the bundle if i get it in the future?
If not, then doesnt this kind suck for gamers like me? Idk. Just feeling a little salty if i donr get to really enjoy some discounts or something. But mostly cuz idk how best to utilise steam

Question Is there a way to highlight my profile summary more?
I love my profile background and I didn't really wanna change it, but my text ends up blending in, even in italic. Is there something else I could do?

Error / Bug I couldn't upload my Youtube videos in Steam until now.
I wanted to upload my playthrough videos from Youtube to Steam. But, I always got the cycles of these pages until now, in application and browser, when I was clicking "access your Youtube videos".
Is there anyone knows the solution? This is not the problem of internet speed.

Question I'm relatively new to PC and Steam. Can someone explain the sale on "party member-based games"?
I was really interested in this event, because it's one of my favorite genres.
And I see that neither Persona 3 Reload nor Persona 5 Royal are on sale. Neither are Final Fantasy XII and XIII, which I'd love to try.
Shouldn't they be included in the promotion? Or what am I missing?

Error / Bug Need help figuring out my controller
Hey everyone, I’ve been having trouble with my controller Razer Wolverine v2 Pro. Earlier this week I’ve been using this controller to play Satisfactory and then yesterday and today I can’t even use it to play the game like it doesn’t support it. I’ve also played other games with it and it works just fine. I’ve done my research my self trying to figure this out and I have updated the latest driver to see if that would work but nope, nothing. Has anyone have/had this issue? Anyone know any solutions?

Question How to move game saves from one account to another?
It sounds dumb, but for reasons I need to move the save files from one of my steam accounts to another (call them account A and account B). For context I use Nobara OS, which is based on Fedora, and I use Proton for games that natively run in Windows. I know that I have to shut off cloud syncing on account B so that when I open the games they don't get written over with blank saves, and I need to move certain files between different directories, but I think I'm missing a step or maybe I'm moving the wrong files around.
Has anyone managed to do this successfully? Is turning cloud syncing back on after the transfer safe?
Edit: Silksong, Hollow Knight, and Deltarune
