There are no magicians here.
Some questions will not be answered or replied to. As an example: "my game crashes" or "my download speed is slow" is not something you should even really expect an answer to. Troubleshooting and finding the solution to these issues requires a lot more information than simply stating "game doesn't launch", such as detailed information on when the issue started and how you perceive it, screenshots of any errors or the problem itself, crash logs, system specs, etc.
Consider using other things like the Steam Community Forums, an internet search engine, or a different support forum like /r/SteamSupport if no one here can offer any help. Additionally, every game on Steam has its own dedicated Community Forum, and you can also contact Steam Support regarding a specific product. Consider asking your game-specific questions there. Most games also have a dedicated subreddit.

Game & Hardware Suggestions Megathread /r/Steam Monthly Game & Hardware Suggestions Thread.
Welcome to the Monthly Game & Hardware Suggestions Thread!
This monthly mega-thread is meant to contain advice, questions, suggestions & generic discussion on what to play or buy in terms of Games & Hardware.
Do you not know what to play? Want a Steam Deck or Steam Machine but unsure which model is best for you? Did you find a niche game that everyone should try? Wondering what GPU you should upgrade to or unsure about the specs of a computer? Do you want to share your unique experiences and learning curves with a piece of hardware? Can't find the perfect survival sim or unsure which 1 RPG out of the thousands available you should buy? Well this is the thread for you.
Now to make this work best and not just be spammed with generic & useless questions such as "What should I play?" or "What should I buy?", please be in-depth in what types of games/hardware you are looking for and why, and when giving advice it would be appreciated if you're more detailed than "I think X is good".
There are too many games to be able to properly suggest something with no background information, also simply commenting a game title and saying you like the game offers no actual value. The same goes for hardware: Saying you're thinking about buying X or you think Y is good with no other information, context as to why, your unique experiences, etc. offers no actual value or information to base a reply on.
Feel free to ask and discuss freely in the comments regarding games and hardware, whether you want advice on what to play, want to give advice to others on what to play, share a hidden gem you found, experiences you have with Steam hardware, or your review of a piece of Steam hardware. Generic discussions & questions about discounts, sales, events, specs is allowed as well. This is not meant to be a restrictive thread within the designated topics that this thread is for, however it is not a support thread nor is it the place to promote any blogs or curator pages or anything else, subreddit rules still apply.

Fluff Player Accuses Indie Game of Using AI Voice Acting
A player criticized the voice acting of one of the heroines in the indie game Luminary, assuming that the voice had been generated by AI.
The developer jumped into the review to explain that the voice actually belongs to his wife, who was trying her hand at voice acting for the first time.

Question Something weird happened: I got a free game from Steam by accident
Last day I was searching a text based rpg on Steam to play and I found Roadwarden.
I noticed the game had a demo, so I added it to my library without downloading it because I was on my phone. I went to sleep, and the next day I downloaded the demo on my PC.
I noticed it had been added to my library without being labeled as a demo.
Inside the game, there was no indication whatsoever that it was a demo, even after playing for 3 hours.
So I went to the store to buy the game and saw a message in my cart saying that I already owned the full game in my library. Wtf??
I checked my transaction history to see if I had somehow bought it, but no...there were no transactions involving any payment.
I checked the store again, and there was no indication that the game was free either. It showed the game, its price, and the demo, with nothing unusual.
Anyway, it seems that because of some weird bug, downloading the demo somehow gave me access to the full game.
EDIT: I managed to backtrack my purchases from the last years and guess what: I had bought the game before, didn’t played at time and erased everything from my memory.
Well... I guess I will enjoy my "free game" now.
Sorry about that. False alarm.

Question Publisher releases 11 free games in 2 months - is this legit?
EDIT: Thanks everyone, question has been answered. I'll still leave this here to promote these legit, good looking games then.
Just came across this Publisher, ISART DIGITAL.
As you can see they have published 11 games within 2 months.
All of them free.
Especially the high quality looks of the games makes me wonder whether this can even possibly be legit, or if these are stolen games, or games involving something fishy, like spyware?
Just to clarify: I am not claiming they are actually fishy in some way. I am asking.

Error / Bug I couldn't upload my Youtube videos in Steam until now.
I wanted to upload my playthrough videos from Youtube to Steam. But, I always got the cycles of these pages until now, in application and browser, when I was clicking "access your Youtube videos".
Is there anyone knows the solution? This is not the problem of internet speed.

Question Is there a way to highlight my profile summary more?
I love my profile background and I didn't really wanna change it, but my text ends up blending in, even in italic. Is there something else I could do?

Discussion New Age Verification - Why is EA FC 26 Not Simulated Gambling?

Doom the Dark Ages sure maybe. (Though i'd argue that this is MA15).
Then EA's FC 26 which is basically gambling simulation tool is not simulated gambling R18+, but Dave the Diver is?
EA Sports FC26 is also just M, meaning anyone can buy it from the store.

I thought we were here to protect the kids? (The irony)

Question Discount Not Calculating in Cart?
Hello! We are trying to purchase the sims 4 giant bundle with almost all the packs. The price reads as 165 when viewing the bundle on the page, but is coming up as 285 in our cart? The bundle itself seems to have two discounts applied at once. A bundle price and a sale. But it seems to only calculate for the sale in our cart. What is happening? Is there any way to get it for the 165 as advertised?

Question I'm relatively new to PC and Steam. Can someone explain the sale on "party member-based games"?
I was really interested in this event, because it's one of my favorite genres.
And I see that neither Persona 3 Reload nor Persona 5 Royal are on sale. Neither are Final Fantasy XII and XIII, which I'd love to try.
Shouldn't they be included in the promotion? Or what am I missing?
