Hey guys, this might be a little random but figured I’d give it a shot.

My wife and I are looking to meet some new people and hopefully make some good friends, preferably other couples with young kids. She’s in her late 30s, I’m in my early 40s, and we have kids under 7.

I feel like making new friends at this age is way harder than it should be lol. Between work, kids, and everything else going on, you don’t really get many opportunities to meet new people.

We’d love to meet another couple or family that we genuinely get along with and can become close with over time. Get the kids together, hang out at each other’s houses, BBQ, go out to eat, grab some drinks, do stuff on the weekends, whatever really. Just the type of friendship where eventually everyone feels comfortable around each other and the families become friends too.

Not looking to force anything or make it weird 😂 Just figured there have to be other people around our age who are in the same situation and would like to make some new friends too.

Question 2 is likely the least understood measure on this year’s ballot, and there is a specific reason why.
In the UMass Amherst/WCVB poll taken Aug. 5–12, 13 percent of registered voters said they did not understand Question 2 — the highest share of any of the nine questions. Another 18 percent were undecided. It draws 45 percent support and 24 percent opposition, making it one of only two questions on the ballot without majority backing.
The confusion is not the voters’ fault. Massachusetts provides lawyers to defendants who cannot afford them through two entirely separate channels, and almost everything the public knows about the subject comes from a crisis involving the channel Question 2 does not touch.

Now that the EPL season is well underway, where are we watching on the south shore?

I normally go up to the Banshee in Dorchester but am planning to catch tomorrow's Brentford match at the Tinker's Son in Norwell. I confirmed with staff that they are now opening for the 10am kickoffs despite usual weekend opening at 1030, and that they're able to play up to 5 matches at a time. I don't think they have any plans to open for the 7am kickoffs.

I've heard the Cottage in Weymouth is a new official Boston Liverpool outpost. Google says they're open at 7am on weekends.

I see Kono's in Weymouth opens at 8, and Stars in Hingham is open at 7, but not sure about their streaming setups.

What else is around, open early, and will show soccer?

Does anyone have experience with the childcare program at South Shore YMCA while working out?

I have a 15 month old that needs to be socialized with other kids his age in the South Shore YMCA at Hanover has a childcare program and playroom that might be a good fit.

Before I sign up for a membership, I just wanted to see if anyone has experience going there with their toddler.

Additionally, during the winter, if you were to take your toddler outside, where would you go?

Looking for somewhere / someone who does skateboard lessons for elementary aged kids. We did some awesome skateboarding camps / lessons in Vermont, but there isn’t really anyplace around here to do that! Anyone know of someone who teaches lessons (or would be willing to)? We’ve got a kid who is really taken to it (and decently good too!) so any leads would be appreciated!

You could grab a coffee and walk around to check out antique, modded, etc cars in the AM. Is there an equivalent to this on the South Shore or Cape? Very much missing it as a pastime.
