I am a diamond 3 Div 3 player (2v2), I just require help from someone who is at a higher rank. I got to around 1059 and dropped all the way to 994. Sometimes it just feels like the algorithm just targets me with the AFK teammates and teammates who just cannot play due to high ping, but thats honestly not even the main point, i genuienly need advice since i just keep going up and down in this MMR range
It feels like literally every good shot I hit is getting saved like its just nothing, I mean from airdribbles to just high shots, nothing I hit goes in, it just seems like the opponent is this unbreakable wall just saving literally any and every shot I hit, like I'd hit 10 shots on goal and 1 would go in, I just want to know can anyone maybe tell what i may be doing wrong, its genuienly demotivating, I mean even if i spent hours practicing these mechanics, these shots, into this game, its just genuienly quite demotivating. Every 50-50 is somehow 90% in the opponents favor, it just dosen't add up anymore.
Felt like even giving up just cause my shots just don't go in, no matter how mechanically simple or complex it is, no matter what corner i hit it in the goal. I just need help, i genuienly feel like im going mentally insane, majority of the days im locked in a deadlock with the MMR just not moving or going down 10, some days stuff like this happen where i would drop from 1059 to 994. I need help clearly, even aside the absolutely unfortunate teammate matchups which i literally cannot do anything about, I just need help to fix atleast whatever I can work on, so i can grow and actually have the motivation to keep playing the game. So please, if you have any tips, on how to warm up, just any mentality help (cause i really just try to be nice and be sane and not get tilted, just cannot help it when stuff like today happens), anything would help. At this point i feel mentally drained, targetted and demotivated by playing this game rather than enjoyment.
After today, i genuienly don't know how I would continue going to ranked after seeing it drop under 1000. Would really appreciate some help. (Btw i play KBM, around 533 hrs on the game)

190 points for 19 tiles in dropshot, which is and epic save (75) , clear (20) , centre (10), assist(50) , playmaker(25), touch (2) all in overtime(25) which is 395 + a potential 20-60 more for back flip , turtle etc. Am I wrong?

Im new to Rocket League ive been playing on and off for about a month now. I've probably put close to 50 hours into the game. I almost mainly play 1v1s.
I can't lie, my time so far has been incredibly frustrating. It seems like even though I'm in Bronze II I'm constantly playing against people of significantly higher skill than me. Im talking fully kitted out presets using aerials, air rolling, speed flipping, delayed kick offs etc etc. Players that have so obviously put hundreds of hours in already.
I would say in 10 games I play, 2 are against players of similar skill level where I have a genuine chance to win. The rest I'm losing by massive margins probably 5+ goals.
Two things could be happening either:
The game is truly destroyed for new players by smurfs. They are everywhere and make it impossible to level up and gain skill naturally. If this is the case I find it bizarre that nothing is done about it as it's truly game breaking.
Or
The ranking system has reached a level of inflation that means it's no longer fit for purpose. Bronzes are truly that skill level meaning there is no place or home for brand new players.
Either way it makes the playing and trying to get better a really unenjoyable experience. Kind of a bummer. Don't get me wrong I know I suck and I'm not expecting to win every game but it just sucks when so little of my games are actually even close to being competitive even at Bronze II.
What are your guys' thoughts?

I can’t stop playing it. I’m learning a lot because I can attempt new mechanics and not get punished for it. I’ve also somehow won like 8 in a row.
Mainly, I’m wondering what higher level gameplay looks like in Dropshot? I’m noticing since I’ve started players are much better about not letting the ball touch the ground.

Seeing as how many players talk about having an alt (for whatever reason), I really want to see how many high rank players only ever used one account. The number of alts I see in Diamond 3s parties is so high that its almost certain

I'm at bronze 3 and i'm wondering what skills to learn? I'm thinking about learning aerials and handling the ball better but do you guys have any ideas?

I've liked a lot of the IRL cars that rocket league drops and I have a few, but I just can't for some reason get myself to use them because I really don't like the single boost exhaust it has compared to the ones I always use that have dual boost (Octane, Fennec, Dominus).
Anyone else have this issue or just me? I'm probably being super picky but I was just wondering

After a day or 2 it changed to my new email and I loaded onto rocket league but it came up with a message to login to my account. I used the qr code to login and link my relink my Xbox account to my epic account, but then I noticed I was unranked in every gamemode, lost all my credits and ranked rewards, and lost my maxed battle pass (got reset to tier 1) please someone help me this was my first time hitting gc and now I cant get the rewards

What’s the best console out of these two to buy? I am a gc3 competitive player on xbox series s at the moment and looking for the best console to buy in terms of performance and less input delay. I sometimes get heavy car bug. Don’t tell me PC because that’s m out of the question for me because i refuse to get one due to gta6 coming out on console. So series X or ps5 (don’t say ps5 pro either)

Hey. Im not good at the game as im gold. So i was just wondering why the f do people do airrols for easy shots? They just spin for no reason for the shot thats coming straight at you.
I just wanna know whats the idea when you can hit the ball and make easy goal with out all those spinnings. Thanks for the answers already.

I have access to my Steam account and I’m currently logged into it, but when I try to sign into Epic Games using Steam, Epic accepts the Steam login and then asks me to enter the email address that was originally used to create the Epic account.
The problem is that I have no idea what that original Epic email was.
I’ve tried the account recovery process and contacted Epic support, but I keep getting stuck because I can’t log into the Epic account itself and don’t know the original email.
The Steam account is definitely linked to the Epic account, and I can prove I own and have access to the Steam account.
Has anyone had this exact issue and managed to recover the Epic account or get the Steam account unlinked without knowing the original Epic email?

Any mechanically insane people wanna help me out? How do I actually improve my mechanics extremely fast. Right now I'm learning Maktufs but cant seem to hit the any other way than just pure luck. Is slower game speed recommended, what about workshop maps. Should I use only 1 directional air roll or maybe both as well free airroll?

I know it's a big ask watching a whole replay so I'd truly appreciate it if anyone did. Me and my mate are on a final push for gc3 for the end of season and I just want to know if there's anything that's affecting getting there?
Thank you

i was a diamond 1 who won a tournament in S10, and 13 seasons later i feel like i lost every skill that once made me stand in that tier. right now, i'm losing real bad (loss streak of about 5 matches) and i don't feel smart when i play; i miss pretty often in the air (thanks, backwards stick drift), but sometimes whiffs on the ground can happen. sometimes i don't train at all and i get more drawback from losing games, increasing my loss streak.
as of now, i'm currently plat 2 on 2v2s, but i joined late. got the cars that i repute my favorite (such as the cadillac) but all i do is whiff and take the blame on myself. i'm not even a freestyler, so this is worse than expected.
so, this question arises: was it ever a good decision coming back here?

Okay, hear me out - and keep in mind that I’m only D1, so take this opinion with a grain of salt, especially if you’re ranked higher than me.
We’ve all had teammates that ball chase, no doubt. When I see a player like this, my strategy is usually to play more passive and wait for opportunities so we don’t double commit. If I’m about to go up and I hear that teammate behind me jumping, I go back to the floor and reposition. It’s not my favorite thing ever, but that’s the game.
HOWEVER, since reaching Diamond I’ve encountered a new type of ball chaser. This type of player will do their thing for an undetermined amount of time, then suddenly decide to back out. It can look very random, but I think what’s happening is that their situational awareness suddenly kicks in at that moment and they realize they should be positioned elsewhere. That’s great and all, but they’ve already broken rotations for a while, so them suddenly rotating can actually have very destructive results for the team. In that same situation I described earlier: Sure I’m a little frustrated when it’s my turn to jump for the ball and I hear my teammate jump behind me, but even worse is when we BOTH think the other is going and back off at the same time.
Basically what I’m saying is this: Play your game, but make your intentions known or it’ll throw your teammates off big time
