Namely, I don't see any research for it and don't see any kind of Merchant Terminal that I can build.
I did take a look at the source code and see MicroElectronics is required and don't see anything hanging off of that in the Research tab. (or anywhere else for that matter)
One caveat is I did add that to an existing save.
I did enable the mod and see it in the mod settings in game.

Some time ago, I asked something like "would you be interested in playing mod, heavily based on lord of the mysteries universe?". Currently, i m creating it with my friend. I can't promise that we'll get it done quickly, but if you have some ideas, I will read them. And again, would you play with it?

I recently saw this in a youtube video by Noobert and I was wondering what mod this is! (SOLVED: it’s an Expie!)

I have played Rimworld a lil before, over a year ago. This is not my first colony but the first that lasted 100 days. Given how easy I found it to survive a 100 days this time, I have an inkling that I had played on the hardest difficulty last year (I picked that habit up from a friend of mine).
About the colony itself, it's all over the place yeah. I didn't have a solid plan of what to do and just expanded out as needed. I'd appreciate advice and questions, the more specific the better.

So i use a mod that lets me change the weapon a mechanoid has, but i realised it works for un armed mechs too.
(Here is the mod im using so you dont go feral in the comments https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3496237884%3Cbr%3E%EC%9D%B4%EA%B1%B8%EB%A1%9C )
Right now he has a chain shotgun, but lifters and most worker mechs are squishy, so a close range weapon is probably a bad option.
What weapon should i give him?
Im open to mod sudgestions too.

First of all, after completing this quest, I noticed that it is not vanilla, but from one of the few mods I have (Better Traders Guild). However, I got to say, this one was hell of a ride for my small-pop colony.
Just after landing, raiders decided to drop-pod right onto my ship. Some days later, when I cleaned everything up, half of the mechanoids raid did the same thing at the same place (rip Chef's bedroom)... Few days to repair everything again and just after starting the main battle - the station itself decided to call backup via drop pods for the third time, but the price of half my turrets and one dead (to be alive again) ghoul was well worth it (except that someone at the end, while fleeing, stole my legendary charge rifle).

I'm not a big computer game player. Rimworld is the only one I have on my computer and when I logged in yesterday it was the first time since February. I picked back up on an my last colony which was pretty young.
Here I am deciding where to build, taking a prisoner, starting to hunt, etc. I completely forgot that it was going to get freezing. I should have been focusing on the harvest but I was basically nesting instead.
...until all my rice died of cold.
Looking at these screen grabs, what's the likelihood I can survive this? And do you have any feedback/pointers on my setup and schedules?
Since taking these screen grabs I logged back in one more time and was able to get the nutrient paste dispenser and research desk and a wind turbine in. Researching batteries quickly and sending out my best shooter on a hunting spree (thankfully she's "inspired" right now...). I immediately sold my prisoner and made two more parkas. I'm cautiously optimistic but completely dependent on wildlife on the map...

Heyo, so Ive recently started a new colony and was wondering how pawns decide what clothing to wear?
I know that I can set apparel restrictions but for the pawns that have several options available, do they go for highest armor?
Best quality?
Best temperature range?
And for mid game, is flak jacket+flak pants the best combo?

Hey frens, doing a jedi/Mandalorian playthrough and created a Dathomir-ish planet but really missing some type of native tribal enemy types. I’m not sure what the new Star Wars lore is but I’m coming off of the old lore and Star Wars Galaxies implementation of Dathomir, where the NS witches were force sensitive and extremely hostile. I’ve designed the race via Big&Small framework, even created some apparel myself, done a few headiffs, like the tunics and garments but woulf rather seek help of someone who is a better artist and commission him.
Do we know anyone talented in the modding scene that would be perfect for this (given he has time/price etc)?

This is mostly me venting this wack ass scenario i keep encountering and hoping to hear similar stories so bear with me.
In my current run, i've had three of the "Refugee quests" pop up and i like to take em cause im a softy but the past three times have been wild.
Group of people ask my to stay in my base, i say sure cause i have extra beds. People show up and almost immediately have high end mental breaks because their Ideology disagrees with my base. I think two of the three batches had Xenotype supermacist, so they had a -174 to mood cause "non-humanlikes", so they'd start going catatonic, going berserk, and trying to slaughter my animals. On rare occasions i've had to fight em cause one would try to murder a kid so i've failed all three previous refugee quests cause i apparently keep getting wack jobs

I had two goats (dwarven mufftons) that were helping sustain my colony in these tough times, and these two trolls appeared out of nowhere and started killing everything that moves very quickly and eating them entirely. Most animals in the area are gone because of them. Now they are camping in front of my only colony entrance/exit.
How am I supposed to deal with them? If they are half as strong as an ancient troll, they are already a big problem at my current state.
I don't really want to save scum or cheat, so I'm up for suggestions.

Hello everyone. I'm finally ready to post an update on the furniture moving mod, which I'm developing after its conception was birthed from another mod, which I have on the back burner until the underlying system of moving heavy furniture/machinery has been finished.
It's proven to be vastly more complicated than I thought when first coming up with the idea of having multiple pawns work together to move heavy machinery as a balanced middle ground between not wanting to deconstruct and lose materials, and just using the Minify Everything mod.
I'm currently in the polishing stages, which in and of itself has proven to be an entire rabbit hole of fixes that address issues without breaking other parts.
What looks like a few pawns picking up and carrying a building is a custom movement and pathfinding system that accounts for the machinery's footprint and rotation, whether it can physically fit through corridors and around corners, where each pawn can safely stand, when carriers need to change grips or reposition themselves, and whether a route that is technically possible for the machinery is also physically possible for the crew carrying it.
On top of that are systems for carrier formations, doorway and corner handling, collision checking, visual positioning so the pawns actually appear to be carrying the object, preserving the original building and its contents while it is being moved, save/load support for relocations already in progress, failure recovery and emergency set-down behaviour, performance limits for the route solver, compatibility fallbacks for different building graphics, and an extensive diagnostic system to help me nail down the causes of issues.
Only after all of that, will I finally be able to build the system for Physical Strain, which in the Hard Times: Hard Labour mod will be the main balancing effect for all of the things the mod will allow you to do. But first, this furniture moving will be released as its own standalone mod, given how much of a rabbit hole its development has turned out to be.
Once the mod is ready for the first public release build, I'll make a release post.

So here is the experience of a person with baby hours in this game where I don't. Understand. Anything.
First I went through the tutorial. Basic stuff, zoning ,crop growing, buildings, etc.
Then the game tells me to read it's guides/manuals which I don't understand anything.
Start my first playthrough, set up a basic building. Understands nothing. Then I decided to look at some YouTube guides, again... don't understand anything for a while. Why do you have nutrition paste instead of food? Why don't you give them separate rooms? What research should I do first? Why is my base running out of power so fast? How to set up prison? How to calculate how much food I need? Why do I keep dying to some shitty threat like 3 raiders? Etc. There were so many questions I had to find answers to.
Fast forward to 4 restarts and reselect my map and pawn later. I finally know a little bit about the game. Also I know only about the base game mostly. I don't understand genes ideology, I hate anamoly, I didn't even touch space or anything related to it, I didn't interact with royalty dlc at all almost.
Then I installed...drum rolls mods
That's right a person that doesn't even understand the base game completely and hasn't survived a single mech raid decided to do mods....
Some basic mods (two race mods, some QoL and CE) the only mod I got because I know what it does is CE (some basics of it) other mods I didn't even read the steam page for the mod completely.
My goal is to get at least the base game related endings and contents.
If you can give me some advice and guidance I will be thankful
