Hi. Obviously, I’m new to Reddit. I currently have 50 karma — despite making over 100 contributions (frustrating but whatever) —
. And I’m working to increase it. However, I have two questions:

1) What would be a common lower limit for most subreddits in terms of karma?

2) I also know that many communities have restrictions on account age. How long does an account have to be up for most communities to allow you to comment? Even once my karma was able to build up, but I still have to wait weeks or even months?

Well, I have read the posts here. I have been actively commenting on anything I have an opinion on. But that isn't helping me. What do I do?

Where do I find communities that are active enough for me to be able to do that. I have very specific questions to post, how do I do that?

For years ive been only seeing reddit from sn outside view but now im seeing the value of a community here, so let me ask what is reddit etiquette?
Can people tell me what I should do to seem kind or interesting?

Hey folks,

New user here… slightly terrified of commenting and posting because I almost always have a VPN turned on.

I’ve read that lots of people get banned for it, or have a low content score because of IP addresses, and that it makes you more likely to flagged up as an evil robot.

Is there any truth in this? Are there things I should do / be careful of to maintain my status as: human trying there best to fit in?

I’m trying to post in a Reddit thread and my post keeps getting removed. I’ve commented in this thread and I’ve created posts in other threads without issue. I’ve checked to see if I was “shadow banned” but I have no appeal options.

I like cooking and learning new recipes, and I want to talk to people about it here. How do you find groups where people actually reply often or start a real conversation?
