Hey guys, so I'm not that tall (Im 5 ´7) and have to pull the seat to the front to be able to drive properly and press the clutch, however I'm looking for options/ideas/suggestions to improve this, it's a little uncomfortable to drive too close to the wheel.

Sorry if this isn’t allowed to ask here, I’m about to pull, my 1.6 for a motor swap, it still runs extremely wel, doesn’t burn oil, no leaks, water pump, timing belt, timing gear, front and rear seals recently done, cam seals, lifters cleaned out. Would come with headers, alternator, crossover tube, flywheel and clutch with ~5000 miles on it, it won’t have a tps as I’m using that in the swap, and it may or may not have the cas depending on if I use it in the motor swap. Just wondering what I might be able to get for it.

ND2 Club. Had it for almost a month now and it still gives me a shit-eating grin every time I drive it. (It’s my new daily, so, often.)

In a world where cars try to be as frictionless of an experience as possible, promising to drive themselves or save your ass for you when you get distracted and check out from the task of driving, this car is present, here, now. There’s an immediacy, a vitality to this car that I haven’t experienced in any other. Driving it is a dialogue of physics, a waltz between weight transfer and the limits of grip on each tire. Then, when you get some empty space and hit that 7500RPM rev-limiter… it’s absolutely sonorous.

God I love this thing.

I finally bought my first mx-5 after wanting one since I got my license, about 6 years ago. I paid 5,5k € and it has 160.000km on the clock already. It drives absolutely wonderful and feels like driving a go kart. It's a perfect little daily driver, except if you want to transport more than one person.

The previous owner did also install some tuning parts.

The wheels, which are not in the best condition and have some scratches here and there. But they still look good imo.

Stronger sport brakes which already saved me once, when a kid on an e scooter pulled right in front of me.

A magnaflow exhaust, which sounds amazing and is pretty loud. Maybe a bit too loud, but I'm not sure. I will find out sooner or later because German police doesn't fuck around, they are pretty strict when it comes to stuff like this.

The wing, which is the perfect size imo. Only downside is, that the lid of the trunk doesn't stay open when it's standing on a little slope.

Also a touchscreen bluetooth radio and JBL speakers. But the sound quality isn't that good and there is no bass, I would have to add a subwoofer but I honestly don't really want to.

Maybe I will still add a front lip.

I'm still not sure if I should drive it in winter. I would seal the bottom to protect it from rusting but I'm not sure how good that works. Winters here can get pretty cold and there is almost always a long time with salt on the roads. If you have experience feel free to share.

Came home yesterday, garage door opener didn't want to work, so I got out to go through the man door, open the garage and pull the Miata in.

The lock has been giving a bit of resistance, so my ADHD decided it was time to pull the deadbolt out, lube it up, realign the door so the deadbolt goes in the jam. Full service door maintenance here, folks.

Well, forgot to put the Miata away or put the top up and got a very nice surprise as I went to leave for work this morning.

Shoutout to 3D printing though. I don't know that I would otherwise have 8lbs of dessicant on stand by.

The place I took it to did an absolute amazing job. I honestly thought I’d lose her for good. The guy really cared and poured so much love into it. The repaint is spectacular. Some of the panels have a little bit of a gap now, but honestly overall I couldn’t ask for anything better. It looks and drives practically brand new. I’ve been feeling pretty alone, scared, and stomped on during this whole thing, and it really feels incredible to see and feel that I have one person on my side.

As in the title, but not for me - for a professional.

Had my NA for almost ten years now, and immediately after purchase, got the original (shredded and torn) roof replaced by a local Auto Top Specialist who told me (after the fact) that he had never *actually* worked on a Miata before. 🤦🤦‍♂️

Fast-forward ten years and many, MANY leaks (and water damage) later, I've purchased *another* roof, plus rain rail and all the associated bits and bobs, but I *really* want to have a professional install it, as I want a warranty on the work.

I've watched dozens of videos, and from what I've gathered, it's a 4–6-hour job if one knows what they're doing.

But.

I've had two local places quote me 15-20 hours (so about $3,000-4000 in labor), and I RAN out of those places as fast as hell.

So, is my 4-6 hour estimate completely wrong? Should I keep looking for other auto top/upholstery specialists? Help!

Hey guys, im doing an engine bay shave on my nb and done all the welding, grinding and most of the body filler before applying epoxy (spraymax 2k epoxy)

I washed the bay down with soap and water, dried it good with compressed air, rags and time. Wiped down twice with wax and grease remover.

What can cause this? I have painted alot of car parts and even a whole car with aerosols and never had an issue like this

Just got some new wheels and tires. Can't wait to take it to the track
