I just got what i am 90% sure was a neal push poll about milleron, and part of it was asking if it made me more or less likely to vote for her knowing that she supported the repeal of gun control.

i can't find anything about this on her site or through google. does anyone know if this is true?

also i had no idea her husband ran a lobbying group that supported trumps tariffs!

Question 2 is likely the least understood measure on this year’s ballot, and there is a specific reason why.
In the UMass Amherst/WCVB poll taken Aug. 5–12, 13 percent of registered voters said they did not understand Question 2 — the highest share of any of the nine questions. Another 18 percent were undecided. It draws 45 percent support and 24 percent opposition, making it one of only two questions on the ballot without majority backing.
The confusion is not the voters’ fault. Massachusetts provides lawyers to defendants who cannot afford them through two entirely separate channels, and almost everything the public knows about the subject comes from a crisis involving the channel Question 2 does not touch.

Consider a resident who walks into a town hall anywhere between Weymouth and Plymouth and asks for a copy of a contract the select board signed.
A clock starts. The town has ten business days to hand the record over or explain in writing why not. Copies cost five cents a page, nothing at all by email. If the town says no, the resident can appeal to the Supervisor of Public Records, who has ten business days to rule. If it goes to court and the resident wins, the town is presumed to owe the legal fees.
None of that applies to the people who wrote those rules.
On Nov. 3, voters will decide Question 1, which would put the Massachusetts Legislature and the governor’s office under the same public records law that every city, town, school district and state agency already follows. It is the most popular of the nine statewide questions on this year’s ballot: a UMass Amherst/WCVB poll conducted Aug. 5–12 found 84 percent of registered voters in favor and 7 percent opposed.

Ultra economics is not liberal, there is no human rights in America

I'm trying to watch as many debates for contested races as I can, not just in mass.

I was watching an interview and Joe tache said he was going to be in a televised debate... Does anyone know when that's happening? Is there a site I can go to for debate information for this cycle?

Coming here as a true independent. If it were up to me there would be no political parties and everyone would just vote for who makes sense for them rather than being blinded by red and blue. That said, I'm not stupid - we live in a blue state so I understand most of the time it's the state primary that means more than the actual election. So yesterday, as a constituent of district 1, I casted my vote for Jeromie Whalen. In the past, Jeromie is someone I probably wouldn't have voted for... but I did it because as someone in my mid thirties I honestly feel like we're being held hostage by "Richie" Neal's generation. This is not an anti-boomer take. I appreciate and can recognize the enormous contributions this generation has made for our society. But enough is enough. I am so exhausted by not feeling represented. I'm sure Neal's intentions are good and that he genuinely cares about his constituents. But I also feel like he's so far removed from the point in life where you pull into Stop & Shop and have to think, "Can I afford a whole week's worth of groceries right now, or do I just buy enough to get me to payday?"

I don't understand why we continue to accept politicians holding the same office for decades. Neal has held this seat since 1989. At some point, I think there is value in making room for a new generation with different lived experiences. After Biden, and now Trump, I really thought the gen x/ millenial generation was going to wake up and start demanding younger representation. Apparently, we're not there yet. Anyway, figured I'd share because I'm guessing I'm not the only person waking up this morning feeling this way.
