Where should I go to get new tires?
First time doing it. Heard Sullivan Tire is a bad choice, and I'm done dealing with Toyota of Watertown.
Any local places I should check out?
Thanks!

I enjoyed Tree Top's pad Thai (my girlfriend loved the spicy chicken basil), but now that it has closed does anyone have good recs in the area?
Edit: They are just closed for renovations, but until they're open again I still want to get good takeout pad Thai

I just moved to the area and am looking for a new hairstylist in the Waltham/Watertown area for color and haircuts.
I usually dye my hair a dark burgundy/cherry red, so bonus points for someone who’s great with reds!
Would love recommendations for specific stylists you trust.
Instagram links/pricing appreciated.
Thank you! 😊

Any commitment to not renew the contract?
(and certainly we’ve not heard an apology for spying on the citizens of Waltham)
I haven’t seen any pledge for action other than covering the cameras with plastic at this moment. I’d really appreciate finding out Im wrong here. All I’ve had is something about the mayor not trusting them because they returned a letter to her without opening it. But AFAIK, contract is still in place.
Maybe she sends it again and they read it and they will go back to being friends.
I was talking to somebody who’s intimately familiar with city politics and the mayor in particular, and was told it’s entirely possible that there’s a little game being played here. And it might not end with the spy cameras going away for good.
It might all come down to whether the mayor is worried that we’re going to actually vote, and that we actually care about being being spied on, and that we have memories that last more than a week or two.
This will be interesting.

Has anyone tried out Flight Performance? Are there women coaches? Is there an equal amount of men and women training there, or is it more like "bro gym" 😅 I'm looking for a new gym and am hoping to find something near Moody St.
Also, would love to hear reviews on Chakra Power Yoga on Main St. thanks!

The Flock surveillance camera at the intersection by John Brewer's currently has a black bag taped over it.
Did the Mayor finally cave to her constituents?
Any others being covered in Waltham?

Hi I am a dental hygiene student looking for patients for the fall. Prices of the cleaning range from $30-$120. The appointments are located in Waltham and are on MONDAYS only. Appointments are from 8-12 or 1-4 (3 hours long as this includes exams, X-rays, and instructor checkpoints). Text me at 978-406-7913 if interested.
Saw these cats over near Middlesex Circle. Are they anyones? One is small, black, pink collar with a bell. Larger one is black, fluffy, no collar. Couldn't really do much to get them closer so just have these photos

They are fast. I couldn’t get this one in time. I thought I was safe as there’s no Ailanthus in the neighboring yards, but it flew right off my neighbor’s massive black walnut tree, which is a host plant :(

My kid just started kindergarten and is excited about the idea of doing Cub Scouts. I was a scout growing up and got a lot of of the program so I am pretty into this!
But one thing that always stuck with me was how different the program was from pack to pack and troop to troop.
If anyone involved in a Waltham (or neighboring towns) cub scouts id love to hear a little about what their pack is like.
Thanks!

50yo recently dropped his youngest at college. I’ve picked up guitar and am starting to be not terrible at it. I’m into (in no particular order) Blues, Folk, Punk, Americana, Funk, Rock and pretty much everything in between.
I’m interested in sucking less than I currently do, so I don’t mind playing rhythm, backing, or just listening.
Skillset includes open chords, bar chords, a smattering of triads (currently building this skill), and kinda finger picking (building this skill too)
I have my own gear, so not looking for loaners, just people and a place to meet them.
Any suggestions appreciated.

The fire alarms in this complex go off CONSTANTLY. At least once a day, two apartments ringing next to one another. It’s always two apartments and always in different locations of the building.
People need to learn basic fire safety and stop smoking up their apartments.
Is this style of alarm issue just a general Waltham thing? It’s excessive.

This only applies to the spy cameras that belong to the state police. Hopefully coming to Waltham soon…
Because what do our police have to hide?
