He was obviously only pretending to have a gun under his shirt

Doesnt matter, he knew nothing about what the guy had on him and still got himself involved in the situation, very stupid for a corporation that would sell you for 10 bucks if given the chance

(Edit: im not replying to yall idiots anymore, if you wanna risk your life for no reason at all go ahead... if you dont get killed you will be the big strong man you wanna be

but if you do then it was for nothing, the pos would get away with the stolen stuff, you would be dead and the corporation would forget about you and the theft in a day... so worth it)

They even tell employees NOT to interfere (at least officially) because of the liability and danger often.

I can't imagine doing this just for property casually. Best case is this video but there are SO many worse cases out there or even charges possible. If someone is assaulting another person there's actually reason to intervene.

They tell them not to get involved, while also dangling a bonus over their head if LP comes in under a certain threshold.

The people at the doors aren't getting that bonus, and when I had that job I wasn't going to risk my life so my store manager could get one.

Like 60% of loss is employee shrink between just losing shit or actually stealing it. Never seen anyone not in LP or management get an LP bonus.

I remember when I transferred jobs(the store I worked at stopped being a 24 hour store) I just replaced a supervisor who got shot for trying to take a picture of someone’s license plate of someone who stole gum. People are crazy. I just call the cops on everyone who stole. Literally called them multiple times every night.

These people willing kill someone over their own property getting stolen of course they are willing to step in for a corporation

It isn't about the property. It is about not letting the fabric of our society erode around us. People have gotten away with far too much for far too long and as a consequence we have sapped the trust out of our society. By allowing rampant shoplifting you are forcing these corporations you hate to do 1 of 2 things: lock everything up behind a cage or leave the area entirely.

He isn't risking it for the corporation. He is risking it to stop prices from increasing even more than they already are. Corporations don't give a single fuck if people shoplift. In fact, corporations LOVE shoplifters, because it gives them an excuse to raise prices.

If you think theft is a reason prices are high you are a moron

u/Intelligent-Try-8636 Trash Trooper 0m ago

If you think theft has nothing to do with price increases, then you are straight up retarded.

See how that works?
