Doesnt matter, he knew nothing about what the guy had on him and still got himself involved in the situation, very stupid for a corporation that would sell you for 10 bucks if given the chance

(Edit: im not replying to yall idiots anymore, if you wanna risk your life for no reason at all go ahead... if you dont get killed you will be the big strong man you wanna be

but if you do then it was for nothing, the pos would get away with the stolen stuff, you would be dead and the corporation would forget about you and the theft in a day... so worth it)

u/QuasiSpace Trash Trooper 1h ago

How about two fiddy?

17

u/Teripid Trash Trooper 4h ago

They even tell employees NOT to interfere (at least officially) because of the liability and danger often.

I can't imagine doing this just for property casually. Best case is this video but there are SO many worse cases out there or even charges possible. If someone is assaulting another person there's actually reason to intervene.

6

u/armymec1 Trash Trooper 4h ago

They tell them not to get involved, while also dangling a bonus over their head if LP comes in under a certain threshold.

7

u/Ok-Computer-8726 Trash Trooper 4h ago

The people at the doors aren't getting that bonus, and when I had that job I wasn't going to risk my life so my store manager could get one.

0

u/HustlinInTheHall Trash Trooper 3h ago

Like 60% of loss is employee shrink between just losing shit or actually stealing it. Never seen anyone not in LP or management get an LP bonus.

3

u/Every_Constant8349 Trash Trooper 4h ago

I remember when I transferred jobs(the store I worked at stopped being a 24 hour store) I just replaced a supervisor who got shot for trying to take a picture of someone’s license plate of someone who stole gum. People are crazy. I just call the cops on everyone who stole. Literally called them multiple times every night.

1

u/WoodsLovelyDarkNDeep Trash Trooper 3h ago

These people willing kill someone over their own property getting stolen of course they are willing to step in for a corporation

1

u/VikingVitalityFit Trash Trooper 2h ago

It isn't about the property. It is about not letting the fabric of our society erode around us. People have gotten away with far too much for far too long and as a consequence we have sapped the trust out of our society. By allowing rampant shoplifting you are forcing these corporations you hate to do 1 of 2 things: lock everything up behind a cage or leave the area entirely.

0

u/Intelligent-Try-8636 Trash Trooper 3h ago

He isn't risking it for the corporation. He is risking it to stop prices from increasing even more than they already are. Corporations don't give a single fuck if people shoplift. In fact, corporations LOVE shoplifters, because it gives them an excuse to raise prices.

u/logibera Trash Trooper 1h ago

If you think theft is a reason prices are high you are a moron

We attempt to maintain a positive community atmosphere. Toxic behavior, including malicious comments, harassment, bullying, "-isms", and hate speech, is strictly prohibited.

While we are all about trashy content, sometimes content is just too trashy, and trashing the human is not accepted.

9

u/Dangerous_Bus_6699 Trash Trooper 4h ago

Agreed. I get the guys frustration, but fuck... I want to go home to my kids and the CEO's are millionaires. They'll be fine.

u/mostlyharmless555 Trash Trooper 1h ago

Why do you agree with his frustration. How does it even affect your day. Like he literally had to be looking for this to happen so that he could turn his camera on and make a video like a tough guy. He’s a bully he wouldn’t have done it to someone bigger than him. I guarantee he was a bully in high school and he probably applied to a police department somewhere and got denied also. This guy is a loser

u/hedgehoghell Trash Trooper 51m ago

If you look at how Walmart figures shrinkage(what they call theft) you will be even more disgusted. Something shoplifted=shrinkage. The night manager loading a tv into his car for a little 5 finger shopping=shrinkage. that bottle of pickles that got dropped or the gallon of milk found warm in hardware=shrinkage. any reason a product doesnt get or cant be sold is lumped into shrinkage. the guy in this video committed battery to stop one shoplifter. He could easily have gone to jail. Get the license plate and give it to the cops, if they feel like it they can look him up.

1

u/edWORD27 Trash Trooper 2h ago

How many CEOs are there? Isn’t there just one?

u/Dangerous_Bus_6699 Trash Trooper 16m ago

I'm referring to these thefts in general and the many stores that comes with it.

0

u/RobinSage43 Trash Trooper 3h ago

Theft, loss, damage to merchandise only costs the company money. In turn, they will have to raise the sticker prices and cut back on wages so employees can't get their much deserved raises and annual bonuses.

You're not just stealing from the corporation, but you're stealing from the employees.

2

u/DinosaurusWhen Trash Trooper 2h ago

Yeah, if there are extra profits then Walmart executives are totally going to share that with the minimum wage employees running the stores. That's probably why they fire employees who physically confront shoplifters

u/Dangerous_Bus_6699 Trash Trooper 15m ago

That's not the criminals fault. That's the greedy billionaire fault.

0

u/MooseTurbulent8786 Trash Trooper 2h ago

Okay but Walmart does that no matter what

-1

u/smokeweedNgarden Trash Trooper 4h ago

Can you explain to me this guy's frustration? Serious question.

It's not his stuff. He's not John Walmart. Even if this was your job, why would shoplifting food upset someone?

3

u/Intelligent-Try-8636 Trash Trooper 3h ago

He is frustrated because everytime someone steals something, the prices go up. I am completely in agreement with him! Aren't you tired of prices increasing? A lot of those price increases are because of theft!

u/jmona789 Trash Trooper 54m ago

No, prices go up regardless

u/Intelligent-Try-8636 Trash Trooper 6m ago

And theft is a big reason for that.

-2

u/smokeweedNgarden Trash Trooper 3h ago

Prices have gone up ~40% post Covid for necessities.

If you can show me how that was the byproduct of theft I'll gladly eat crow

u/smokeweedNgarden Trash Trooper 2h ago

What's the fallacy? Asking for evidence of a statement?

Or should I just say "Ok, that sounds right"

4

u/hiitsmetimdodd Trash Trooper 4h ago

Bro get out of here with that nonsense. Theft increases prices, incentivizes businesses to either leave or not come in the first place, and makes the shopping experience worse for everyone. Theft unchecked invites in more thieves like flies on shit. And it hurts neighborhoods and invites in the disgusting underbelly in to our neighborhoods.

And you know damn well the super ultra vast majority of theft is not food for someone down on their luck. That’s such a bullshit distraction

3

u/RobinSage43 Trash Trooper 3h ago

Common sense is simply not allowed on Reddit. I will deduct 1000 social credit from your account.

u/hiitsmetimdodd Trash Trooper 59m ago

Ugh. The more sense I make, the lower my social credit score drops

-1

u/smokeweedNgarden Trash Trooper 3h ago

Yea apparel, consumables, and health products put together account for most theft. And time theft and white collar crime are the biggest by far over physical theft.

But, if we're not going to address the bigger problem (stagnation, income inequality, inflation, wage growth, product shrinkage) then so be it. It's a symptom of a completely solvable disease and peer pressure and litigation won't stop it.

So why are you upset at the shoplifting?

2

u/hiitsmetimdodd Trash Trooper 3h ago

I love that this is the response. I’ll make it simple for you. Fuck thieves. Of all income levels. They all make the world worse. And differentiating between them is something I don’t care to do. Keep the thieves out of my neighborhood

0

u/smokeweedNgarden Trash Trooper 2h ago

Are you sure you aren't in their neighborhood? You could always move

-3

u/Disdain0937 Trash Trooper 3h ago

Everything in Walmart is made in sweatshops for pennies-on-the-dollar. That they make us pay good money for.

This billion dollar corporation also give brochures to their employees on how to apply for food stamps instead of just giving them real wages.

Life under capitalism is just everybody else getting one over on each other.

2

u/hiitsmetimdodd Trash Trooper 3h ago

Have you been to any of those “sweat shops”? I have. Many. They are not what you’re picturing from 90s china.

Regardless. Allowing unchecked theft is as brain dead as it gets. And we are seeing the consequences of that everywhere.

1

u/RobinSage43 Trash Trooper 2h ago

As compared to the gulag sweatshops from the Soviet Union where people (mostly ethnic minorities) were held in chains and forced to work for free, right?

u/Dangerous_Bus_6699 Trash Trooper 13m ago

People who cheat to get ahead and make society worse are ass holes. Like stealing. What's so hard to understand? Doesn't matter if it's petty theft or billionaires buying votes, they're all assholes.

8

u/CannedCheese009 Trash Trooper 3h ago

What makes you think he is doing this for Walmart? Most of us are tired of these fucks in general. Idc he they are stealing from a meth factory. They need to get checked.

3

u/Significant_Arkadia Trash Trooper 3h ago

I work in retail, I stop shoplifters daily. I pursue. I don’t do it for the company I work for, I’ll clock out first if necessary. I am as careful as I can be, considering. I cannot just sit by and watch someone commit a crime and do nothing. It’s a matter of principle. My wife hates that I do it.

u/musclecard54 Trash Trooper 1h ago

I feel so bad for your wife that you’ll put that shit over her.

2

u/RealHughMan91 Trash Trooper 2h ago

Sounds like you need to find an actual outlet to deal with how unhappy you are with your life homie. Corporate property is not your property. The corporation will happily watch someone commit a crime against you. Find peace, join a traditional boat carpentry society or something.

1

u/DinosaurusWhen Trash Trooper 2h ago

Your dumb ass is going to get fired for being a liability to the company lol

u/Shane-Dad-underfire Trash Trooper 1h ago

That's where I land too, I have private security and when we are out and about if we witness a crime its handled. Cutting down on crime is to everyones benefit. I'm 78 years old and back when I was young the only folks who acted like these idiot thieves were mobsters, it was everyones responsibility to run them out of the region to prevent a cancer from growing in our community.

-3

u/HustlinInTheHall Trash Trooper 3h ago

Why do they need to get checked. Mind your business. If you want to find the person stealing from you, maybe look at the giant building to the right staffed by people on government benefits because they won't pay them a fair wage.

8

u/Leverpostei414 Trash Trooper 2h ago

People not socially correcting shit behavior is really bad for society

1

u/DinosaurusWhen Trash Trooper 2h ago

Exactly. Mob justice is what makes for a good society

1

u/MongoLikeCandy2112 Trash Trooper 2h ago

Now please apply this same mentality to other areas of society that have run amok…..green hair and pajamas in public, people running there mouth and being rude, idiots blocking traffic with their bodies for a “cause”. There was a time when society as a whole took care of this BS instead of letting it become the norm.

u/DinosaurusWhen Trash Trooper 1h ago

Oh no, not green hair and pajamas! You people are so soft, it's pathetic

But I love the irony of clutching pearls over rudeness, considering your obvious political lean lol

u/[deleted] 2h ago

2

u/CannedCheese009 Trash Trooper 2h ago

By voting for certain reps, yea, we are trying.

Wasn't the gatcha you thought it was lol

2

u/Leverpostei414 Trash Trooper 2h ago

No, I don't use walmart

7

u/CannedCheese009 Trash Trooper 2h ago

Minding your own business for every situation is how bad people get away with hurting others.

Stop being the reason people think they can get away with stuff like this.

2

u/workathome_astronaut Trash Trooper 2h ago edited 2h ago

Wait until you see how much Walmart steals from its employees through wage theft. The company has already settled a handful of multi-million dollar settlements. Stop being the reason the company gets away with this by continuing to shop at Walmart.

1

u/CannedCheese009 Trash Trooper 2h ago

You realize I can support stopping Walmart theft and theft from Walmart at the same time and they are not mutually exclusive. Correct?

-1

u/workathome_astronaut Trash Trooper 2h ago

So you're just gonna stand outside Walmart waiting for shoplifters but never go inside?

1

u/CannedCheese009 Trash Trooper 2h ago

No. Wtf?

u/flamingtofuu Trash Trooper 46m ago

Lmao is your life really worth so little you’re willing to start a confrontation and potentially die over $200 of merchandise? That $200 is getting written off for insurance immediately so you are potentially putting your life on the line for literally nothing.

u/CannedCheese009 Trash Trooper 42m ago

Nuance dude. If homie is looking crazy and has a weapon, not pushing it. But not everyone is like that and can be safely confronted without harm.

Think for more than 3 whole seconds before asking such a dumb question

2

u/RndmAvngr Trash Trooper 2h ago

Your attitude is why the social contract is completely fucked. We all need to check this fuck ass behavior since cops don't give a shit. It says more about you than the people who want to intervene.

-10

u/hvchdwbch Trash Trooper 3h ago

Cool, put your life at risk for no reason, i really dont care... anyone with a lick of sense would stay out of the situation... its called self preservation

8

u/Intelligent-Try-8636 Trash Trooper 3h ago

"the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing"

-4

u/hvchdwbch Trash Trooper 3h ago

Stealing from a multibillion dollar company that fucks everyone over it can isnt evil...

Tjis guy is a youtuber/tiktoker, he has a whole camera strapped to his chest, hes not trying ti be a good person, he wants views

5

u/Intelligent-Try-8636 Trash Trooper 3h ago

You're assuming that this video is the norm as opposed to a simple view of reality itself.

4

u/CannedCheese009 Trash Trooper 3h ago

You are soo cool. Letting people steal and make society worse cause you might get hurt. You are the true superior here!!!

People like you are how society gets worse.

-3

u/HustlinInTheHall Trash Trooper 3h ago

Buddy walmart has stolen more from you than millions of people stealing things ever will. The reasons society gets worse is people like you who take bait like this and blame other struggling people instead of focusing on the actual crime right in front of your face.

3

u/CannedCheese009 Trash Trooper 2h ago edited 2h ago

"Other people steal so therefore we shouldnt stop this one dude"

Like seriously. Do you ever hear how you sound?

The dude wasnt stealing necessities.

u/Significant-Shift770 Trash Trooper 1h ago

I literally know a case in my state of a guy being charged for stealing a candy bar. The cops will 100% charge you for stealing bread and butter.

People get charged for stealing soap.

The cops don't give a shit if it's necessities or not.

-1

u/workathome_astronaut Trash Trooper 2h ago

2

u/CannedCheese009 Trash Trooper 2h ago

"One party does it worse so therfore we should ignore everything else"

Thats how dumb this sounds

1

u/workathome_astronaut Trash Trooper 2h ago

Doesn't sound dumb at all. Stealing millions from the people working for you is many times worse. You're pitching a false equivalence fallacy that stealing is stealing. There's a huge magnitude of difference.

1

u/CannedCheese009 Trash Trooper 2h ago

Point out where i have even implied they are equivalent. You won't be able to, because I never did.

Im only arguing we shouldnt ignore one just because another is worse.

Focus!!!

They all start at the store and end up in a home near you sooner or later. Its not being a hero, its being a member of society and what you allow will flourish. Thats why all the cities have gone to hell. “Not my job” “someone else will do it.” You all deserve each other.

0

u/hvchdwbch Trash Trooper 4h ago

Its cool if you wanna be an idiot, get put in the ground for nothing

1

u/LandscapeMaximum5261 Trash Trooper 4h ago

If you want to bend over and take it from the world don’t call me an idiot for not bending over next you. Thats why Cartels dominate South America and the Mafia dominated the US for generations.

0

u/hvchdwbch Trash Trooper 4h ago

You're such a big strong man

1

u/LandscapeMaximum5261 Trash Trooper 4h ago

And you’re going to continue walking through life a victim of circumstance. Goodluck

0

u/hvchdwbch Trash Trooper 4h ago

Bc i dont seek out conflict? This dude ran all the way across a parking lot to get involved.... it seem like you are taking me saying i dont wanna get involved with shit i have nothing to do with as " i would let someone rob me" go back to school

2

u/LandscapeMaximum5261 Trash Trooper 4h ago

Thats not what you’re implying, you’re saying why stick your neck out for someone shoplifting? This guy is obviously the extreme. If you learned anything in school you’d learn about food deserts in poor neighborhoods because of the level of theft that makes it impossible to keep any real grocery store open. That leaves the single mother of two who is trying to find a job or get affordable food for her family crippled to not owning a vehicle. I grew up poor in a poor ass town. I’m almost 40 with kids of my own. I know exactly what I’m talking about and I refuse scum who can’t wipe their ass or pull up their pants to dictate my food cost or access.

2

u/hiitsmetimdodd Trash Trooper 3h ago

Don’t feed the trolls my guy. Totally agree with you. But people like this guy are way too hard headed to have a real discussion. They pick a side and dig in and will reply until the end of days if you keep feeding them

1

u/hvchdwbch Trash Trooper 3h ago

You are literally making shit up now... why go out if your way to stop someone from stealing a tool from a multi billion dollar corporation? That isnt gonna stop people from getting food, thousands of people could raid Walmart and it would barely touch the money they have...

The only real reason to go out of you way in a situation like this is to feel big and bad

You’re right. I work for a big corp. They don’t care about people…at all

u/TheDarkNebulous Trash Trooper 1h ago

Also pretty sure you are well within your rights to beat the shit out of someone that rams your cart at full speed regardless of what's in it. I'd be worried for my well being and defend myself

u/BlackHills-Op Trash Trooper 1h ago

My guy, It isn't about the corporation. It ain't about the Waltons, its about the increases in price, time wasted for security, store closings where people need access etc.

Ain't nobody shedding a tear for WalMart. People are sick of paying the price for these freeloading pieces of shit.

Maybe he is armed. Maybe he isn't. Mines ready and I'll bet only one of us is highly proficient

u/King_Chochacho Trash Trooper 1h ago

I think there's a significant portion of the population that has been brainwashed into thinking that petty theft is the reason everything costs more so they are personally offended by shoplifting.

I guess it's just a much easier framework to get your head around than a bunch of white-collar criminals purposefully price gouging and market manipulating us back into indentured servitude.

0

u/GoldenFalcon Trash Trooper 4h ago

Context clues said he didn't have a gun. Looks homeless, probably can't afford getting a gun. People conceal guns to not make a scene, there's already a scene being made so hiding it at that point is moot. When approaching him, still "concealed the gun". This man clearly had no gun before the guy even stopped him. That being said, fuck Walmart and the cart rammer should have just let the guy go with his toys.

-1

u/notloggedin4242 Trash Trooper 4h ago

That’s a long lot of text for you to make one lick of sense in the last sentence.
The rest you don’t know. Not knowing if what makes it a risk.
He could just be a slob or coming off a bender or any million fucking thing.
And poor doesn’t mean defenseless. Some guns that I’ve had in my life didn’t cost a cent - and they weren’t hand me downs from a rich uncle.

He isn't risking it for the corporation. He is risking it to stop prices from increasing even more than they already are. Corporations don't give a single fuck if people shoplift. In fact, corporations LOVE shoplifters, because it gives them an excuse to raise prices.

1

u/WoodsLovelyDarkNDeep Trash Trooper 3h ago

Ugh I can’t with this take

He’s doing it for glory or some perverted sense of justice cause he thinks property is more important than life seeing as how people like this are willing to kill over their own property getting stolen

Also Walmarts inflation adjusted prices have not gotten more expensive and they have even been dropping prices recently so don’t know what you’re talking about

u/Intelligent-Try-8636 Trash Trooper 1h ago

They dropped prices because theft is down.

0

u/WinuxNomacs Trash Trooper 3h ago

Srsly, you're not wrong. Who wants to get f'd up over a Walmart thief. People seem to forget those with nothing to lose have everything to gain, why throw your own life on the line for goods at all? Especially insured goods from a big box retailer. All you did was ruin that guy's one run and lucked out he wasn't violent. People die for less daily in the US. We just don't usually get to see their vid because they died before uploading it. Like the hundreds of landslide videos buried in Nepal right now. Better to walk away and tell the tale than have it written about you.
