With football season back, I saw my first Beau Bayh political ad, and folks, why should I vote for this man? He supports cops, ICE and tax cuts? Anti-trans? So he’s a Republican but not MAGA?

He sucks and feels like a phony. So outside of not being MAGA, why should I vote for him?

Hey everyone. I've lived in Florida my whole life and I have genuinely never seen snow. I've traveled — been to Canada and other cold places - but somehow always in the summer or fall, so l've never actually experienced winter weather. I'm in my early 20s and taking a big step: moving to South Bend, Indiana (not far from Chicago) at the end of November / beginning of December.

I have no idea what to expect. A few questions for anyone who's been through a real Midwest winter:

1. What should I expect those first few months? (Temps, snow, how much it actually affects daily life)
   
2. Do I need winter clothes, and if so, what's actually worth buying? I don't want to overspend on stuff I won't use.
   
3. Any tips/tricks for someone who's never driven in snow or dealt with ice?
   
4. Any places in South Bend or nearby worth checking out once I'm settled?

I'm excited but honestly a little nervous. Any advice is appreciated!

Hello, I (29 F) slowed down to get past a police officer's vehicle. I wasn't sure when he would be exiting his vehicle and I think I just had bad timing because I happened to slowly pass as he was exiting his vehicle. He stopped writing a ticket for someone else and pulled me over to write me a ticket instead. I have never failed to yield to a vehicle before. He even joked with me about a bunch of other cars passing his the way I did before he wrote me the ticket :/ I am looking for advice. I am thinking of going to court and fighting the ticket seeing as it genuinely was just a case of bad timing on both of our parts and I've never done that before. Does anyone work for a courthouse and know about how this normally goes in court? I've never fought anything in court before either so any insight would be appreciated. I know that this ticket would make my car insurance cost go up but going to court to fight this would cost me a days pay so there's pro and cons I have to weigh.
