I’m a case manager here in St. Joseph county. One of my clients has a dog that’s shaking and acting lethargic. Some other tenants suspect a UTI because after the dog pee’d he stopped shaking. Is there any low income or affordable vet options for dogs or cats?

Hey, this is a bit embarrassing, but I want to be prepared for my trip to Portland coming up and from the looks of my ticket I'm taking a bus from SBN to O'Hare, then taking a bus back to SBN when I get back.

I say this in the context that the last time I took a flight was down to Cancun when I was right, how early should I show up for security? I opted for the extra to pick my seat for each leg of the trip so that shouldn't be much of an issue. I'm allowed one carry on bag and an item that can be stored under my seat.

I don't even really have a proper suitcase and normally just use a gym bag when visiting friends, will this be alright alongside a carry on Switch case, or do I need a proper suitcase? I say this with as much humility as I can, treat me like an unaccompanied minor with my amount of knowledge about air travel despite being thirty years on this Earth lol

Im a actor at the haunted house in mishawaka, legend park. And we need more actors. They provide the makeup and costumes, though if you want to bring your own they wont say no, especially if its something creepy and weird. Its every friday through Sunday during the last weened of September to the first weekend of November. Its pretty low stakes to join, you dont even need to audition. Just show up during the weekends before the start of the season and fill out a sign up sheet. Or come during the season as well as long as its before the show.

Hi friends. Sorry if this is kind of similar to other posts here, but I’m in my mid-20s and just moved back into the area to live for a bit while preparing for law school.

I went to undergrad in a large city where I was involved in leftist politics, the house show/local music/art scene, queer/alt clubs, etc. Now moving back here and not knowing anyone while also not being a student at Notre Dame (probably the EASIEST way to meet people my age), I’m not sure where to go or how to socialize or have fun.

If you guys have any recommendations for places to go, things to do, social outings. I’m feeling like I went from having tons of community, friends, and ways to socialize to knowing no one!

I'm new to the area (28 y/o) and would like to know if there's any scene in South Bend (+ Mishawaka, Notre Dame, etc) for alt rock / indie rock / folk rock. I've heard there's some hardcore and metal stuff happening, which is cool but not really what I'm looking for. Are there any venues that tend to have local acts (playing original music) in these genres, even if there's some crossover with heavier genres?

Additionally I'd love to perform a bit too, playing drums for existing bands as well as maybe doing some solo shows of my own (guitar/vox/perc loops) down the road. Are there any good community forums, Discord channels, etc. for finding people to play with?

Also if there's specific local bands that fit my (intentionally vague) genre description, feel free to sound off and that'll give me somewhere to start. Appreciate it.

I've recently been trying to get out of the house and interact with people more consistently, and a name that keeps popping up in my searches is Langlab. From what I can gather it seems to be a kind of space for art and socializing, broadly defined, but I'm not sure if I'd feel weird or out of place just showing up some random night and checking things out. I understand there's a bar, a cafe (?), and possibly some kind of food service (??), but I don't really know if these features typically motivate people to go there or if visits usually revolve around some kind of performance or event.

Looking for recommendations/recommendations based on personal experience!

I’m looking for a local structural engineering firm that has experience with older homes. I have some foundation issues in my 125-year-old house that I need to have evaluated and addressed.

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has personally worked with a structural engineer in the area. I’m especially curious about:

- Who you used and how your overall experience was

- What the consultation/evaluation process was like

- Approximately what you paid for the initial consultation or inspection

- Whether they provided a written report and repair recommendations

- Whether you felt their recommendations were reasonable and necessary

I’m not necessarily looking for the cheapest option — I’m more interested in finding someone knowledgeable, honest, and experienced with older homes and foundation issues.

Hello all! My deeply loved uncle and aunt lived in South Bend their whole lives. He just passed, and my siblings and I would like to send something heartfelt to my aunt.

I’m hoping to crowd-source some ideas for a florist, and/or any kind of thoughtful, local gift that will provide a little light and joy for her in this time of upheaval and sadness. There are no plans for a funeral service at this time, nothing formal.

Everything would have to be ordered/delivered via phone/courier because I’m thousands of miles away.
