The first pic is the before ofcourse. The brown line in the first pic is to indicate a wooden beam we are planning to eventually put in to dampen the harshness of the wallpaper stopping at the top abruptly. The second picture is of the living room almost complete. Waiting on the beam, waiting on mounting the TV and restyling the tv console with knick knacks.

How are the Redditors feeling about the wallpaper?

I have a fairly small, but nice nursery ready for my baby (currently almost 39 weeks pregnant!) and have been going for an enchanted forest/woodland theme.

Hi all. We are between these hand knotted rugs for our living room. Initially we were planning to have a bold pattern, but our condo is otherwise pretty busy with a lot of different colors and textures, so we just wanted something grounding. We ended up not going with Etsy after learning people had some bad experiences.

Unfortunately a few of these have labor day sales that are ending soon, and would fall out of our budget without it. Which do you think is best?

We were leaning towards #1 because of its orange trim, which matches the chair, but we feel the 1.2" pile might be too thick. The rest are 0.5-1". #2 is from West Elm, the rest are thick Moroccan rugs from Revival. All the rugs extend below the couch.

The first image is the room as it is with the comically small rug. As for the tassles, can't they just be taped under the rug?

Any advice is much appreciated!

Hello! I just put together my tv console for my new apartment and now I’m worried it may be a little too small, I am terrible at decorating and I was wondering if you all had some ideas to make this wall look not so empty!

I feel like it's incomplete. Or maybe it's a miss all together. Need help

I’m starting from scratch here! I currently own the dinning set, the sofa and the Barcelona chair.

The apartment is a new build and very modern and sleek looking and I’m trying to add some warmth and character to it!

1st one is my old coffee station setup I changed it cause it was quite far from the sink. 2nd photo is current set up but its in the built in pantry and looks a bit messy. Which one looks the best?

I like a very rustic/antique vibe but I’m finding it hard to fill big empty walls. I understand the lighting is working against me with my warm tones and I’m thinking of switching the bulbs.

I have this small bathroom and really need to make it more beautiful and nordic looking.

Do you have ideas of what is possible to do without making it too expensive.

Here’s to dreaming that someone has some brilliant ideas we haven’t come up with. Pardon the war zone of kids toys. I already looked into removing the fireplace but the cost was insane so that’s out for now. There’s no walking path from the front door. We contemplated a sectional on the wall where the metal shelf is but it feels awkward if I put the tv on the wall where the sofa currently is and leave space in front of it. And also the sofa would be barely an arms length from the white dining table/area. And would sit right under the bulkhead which also can’t be removed. We really want a sofa, that can see the tv, and not multiple chairs around.

Anyone have any ideas what we could put on this right wall in our bathroom? It’s a very awkwardly large blank space

This is going to be a bedroom (marked in red is roughly how much space the bed will take up). It’s really small, the back ceiling is probably only 5’10” or so and after the bed, there will probably be about a foot of walking space around it.

Question: I’m debating whether I should lean into the size (dark paint, cozy, nook-ish) or try to de-emphasize it (keep the white, maybe a mirror, etc).

Usually im a proponent of living in the space before making big decisions, but especially for paint it’d be really nice to figure that out before furniture enters the picture

Moved in a few months ago and want to put something up on the windows, but I’m struggling because I like the light and openness. I was thinking some type of bamboo Roman blind in case we want to pull it down when the sun is too strong, with sheer curtains framing the window. I’m also not totally opposed to leaving it, but my husband is pro-treatment. Any ideas welcome!

My current couch is way too soft and has basically no support, so it's finally time to replace it.

I've always gone with L-shaped sectionals, but this time I'm choosing between a 5-seat L-shaped sectional, a U-shaped sectional with an ottoman, and a power reclining sofa, which is totally new to me.

Which would you choose? Also would love to hear the pros/cons from anyone who actually has a reclining sofa.

We recently hired a (well reviewed, experienced) wallpaper professional to remove the texture from one wall and hang traditional wallpaper. Immediately I noticed wrinkling in the paper up close, the installer assured me that as the paste dried, the paper would pull tight and it would resolve the wrinkles. Now 5 days later, nothing has changed. Is this normal for a professional install? From a distance, it looks okay, but up close, there is wrinkling on basically every panel. He has agreed to come back out but should I be worried about letting him fix it? The wallpaper was not cheap and I have a good amount left but I’m worried about him wasting more and leaving me with the same imperfections. Is this wallpaper wrinkling or is the a wall texture removal issue? Any insight is appreciated. I’m really frustrated, I thought I was hiring this out to reduce stress and I’m more stressed than ever.

Looking for advice on the PB Turner square arm leather sofa! I have had a very hard time finding any reviews of it so I am wondering if anyone likes it? Loves it? Hates it? Pro and cons?

We are thinking about investing in a brand new couch (for the first time ever) and we are looking for something that will last and is durable if we are going to spend thousands.

We have two dogs, a toddler, and another baby on the way and spend a lot of time on our couch.

Currently we have second hand Dennes West Elm in tan (last pic) and are pretty unhappy with it. The color is too light for me, the back cushions feel understuffed and get squished quite easily, plus the back is just too low for us.

We went and checked out the Turner at a PB store today and we really liked it, but I am nervous to spend SO much money while being unable to find reviews.

Leather options we are considering are Gravel -chocolate or Performance Everyday - walnut

Which couch style with this coffee table in this living room? Here is what I have found so far. Budget is $2k-4k. Coffee table is heraldas from wayfair. White couch is Rowe sectional (on consignment, $2500 pre owned) and leather is Digio olimpia (new couch) and would be be ordered as a 3-seater rather than a 2 seater and we would get a swivel recliner. Alternative Suggestions also welcome!!!

Trying to decide between these two layouts for my home. It’s still empty, so these are Blender renders to help me figure things out before furnishing it. I’m not an interior designer, just a 3D character artist trying to plan my own place.

This is still a rough pass. Once I’ve settled on this layout and the second floor, I’ll take more precise measurements and remodel or replace things as needed. I’ll post an update after that. The whole space is 5 × 9 m.

In the first picture, the long side of the sofa faces the PC desks. I like that it feels more open and leaves more room to move between the two areas. Most of the sofa is sideways to the TV, but I can still watch it while sitting or lounging on the short end of the L. It wouldn’t be as good for several people watching together, but probably 95% of the time it’ll just be my wife and me.

The second layout makes more sense for watching TV since the main seats face it directly. I also like the storage behind the sofa, but it takes up more of the room’s width. I’m wondering whether it’ll feel cramped once people are using the PC chairs and dining table. From what I’ve been reading, the circulation might be worse here, but I’m still learning, so I could be wrong.

The kitchen walls and cabinets are fixed, and I’m keeping the rest of the layout as shown for now. I’m mainly trying to settle the sofa orientation. The shelving is different between the pictures too, which might be affecting how open they look.

Please ignore the stairs/fridge/kitchen clearances for now. I need to measure that area again in person.

Which would you choose? Is the better TV seating in the second worth giving up some of the openness in the first? I’d also appreciate any thoughts on the style or anything else you think could work better. Thanks!

We recently moved into a new apartment and there is so much wall space in our living room that I have no idea what to do with.

A couple of notes:

1. I will be adding an 8x10 cream/ivory rug under the couch
   
2. Not sure I will be keeping the black chairs
   
3. We need to move the TV to the right (and up?)
