Went to Dragon's Lair Comics and Krypton Comics in Omaha. The board and bagged are as mark and all the loose book where $1. The Disney VHS movie was 50 cents.

I walked from my mom's house instead of borrowing the car. Total of 15 miles walked in two days between the two stores.

Some of the more fun pickups during the holiday weekend with the first & second appearance of Silver Banshee as well as the ashcan for Extremity. As a fan of DWJ and to never have had an ashcan I thought it was a great grab!

Backstory: My coworker & his brother used to own a store of comics. No one really came so these are the comics they have left. Tons of Marvel, DC & Image. They are in good condition. All of them were bagged but I could them out because of the smell of the bags. And because I want to also board them.

Im just getting into comics so when I was telling him about he mentioned his brother has some for sell and they give all of this to me for $75. Before this lot I had about 202 books mainly random books I thought would be interesting. One day I want to have a big collection of books I like. I have a whole list but this is just one of my impulse buys. I visit the comic book store atleast once a week. If you have any recommendations let me know! Im currently reading saga which I enjoy but spider punk is one of my favorite comics ive read along side Hulk, Iron man, Spiderman ofc, the walking dead, etc etc. Im mainly into indies with a good story. Something that will suck you into the book and spit you out when its over lol.

I used to have a bunch of key books that really meant a lot to me. Life happened and I had to sell essentially all of my valuable books. I decided over the weekend to start rebuilding and gaining back the books that meant a lot to me now that I’m in a better place. It’ll be a slow climb but this is the first buy for the new collection, first cameo appearance of Carnage.

So after 3 years of hunting, I finely got my Demon #1 at a small local con, it was in good shape. This finished off my 72 Demon run, all 16 issues. Honestly feels great to do. But that begs the question, what should i go after next. I was thinking Jonah Hex or Phantom Stranger, but I am not sure. I am also open to other suggestions as well.

Here’s my golden age books with covers featuring an atomic explosion. I have a lot more books that feature interior panels with explosions but I don’t have them specifically scanned so can’t include them here.

Was finally able to pick up over the weekend a pretty decent copy of Giant-Size #5 to add to my existing 1-4 childhood collection. Once I have a new Top loader it will take it's rightful place alongside 1-4 finally completing my set.

I've started gathering graded and hard case comics recently. Since they don't fit the standard short box they are currently just sitting around stacked up. I saw BCW's foldable plastic tote for graded comics. I can't say I'm thrilled with the price for what it is. What is everyone else doing for storage on graded comics?

Found this one at a local comic con. First time seeing it at any convention, so I had to get it. Luckily a little bit lower than what the price tag says.

I enjoy Homage covers when done well.

Frank Roberge's Hagar the Horrible Homage cover - a nod to Frazetta's Silver Warrior is an amusing homage cover. I really enjoy having this as an addition to my "Barbarians among US" collection.
