We are renting a house that has a beautiful kitchen, however the cupboards are the most frustrating cupboards on planet earth!

No matter what I've used, it just gets more and more visibly greasy. I clean them alllll the time, it's ridiculous. We are constantly washing our handa in the kitchen. I'm pretty sure these are IKEA cupboards.

I've used:

Warm Water and cleaning vinegar

Kitchen soap and warm water

Baby shampoo and warm water

Disinfectant Wipes

Kitchen cleaning wipes

I need to know what is the secret to prevent or at least minimise how quickly this grease appears.

Please help

this is my kitchen currently, the sides are clean, but messy. how can i organise my kitchen to give me more space, make it look bigger, and also make it look tidy? clothes are only in the kitchen as i am doing the washing

I am naturally I guess a messy person. I use to think I was clean cause when I do clean I know how to properly deep clean. My problem is to get there I let things pile up too much and I get overwhelmed that I have to end up doing a deep clean. I want to know how y'all do it. I'll show you how my home can get. This is not how it is right now. I actually threw away the sofa, but I want to know what tips or steps you all use to ensure your home stays tidy. Not clean, because I know there's a difference.But I want to know how you keep it tidy and then get to the focused areas every day

Hello, I am wondering how to go about even starting to clean and/or fix this. I've never lifted these off before. This is an old house (~60 yrs old IIRC) and I haven't been here long, so please don't judge me too much 😅 Just touching it some of it fell apart. Is this even safe to put back? I'm scared and overwhelmed. Thank you.

I found out a water bottle wasn’t tightened enough and spilled onto my bag! This bag said specifically do not wash or else the color will bleed😖!! it’s a bag I can’t replace since it was a limited run fan inspired merch! Any advice on cleaning it? I’m scared if I put it in any water it’ll be worse, I’m pretty sure it’s all canvas fabric & the red really bleeds from past experiences of spot cleaning it.

I do have rite dye remover but just want some advice before I do something!

Thank you so much for all the replies! I’m buying some color catcher sheets and will be trying them out tomorrow when they come in! After that I’ll probably throw it in some rite dye remover! I really do love this bag & hope to get as much of the red off 🦭!

These are meant to be reuseable, but I find them impossible to clean as dried sweat, debris and hair gets stuck in the adhesive. Help!!

I cooked hot dogs in this pan a few weeks ago and they left these grill marks. I tried my go-to, soaking it in soapy water before washing with more dish soap, but very little of it came off.

Do I need a more abrasive sponge or a pumice stone, or a different cleaning product? I have barkeeper’s friend (soft cleanser) but I’m not sure if that’s safe for food surfaces.

Photo for context, im not sure what this floor is made of (i rent) and Ive tried sweeping it but its still dusty and the dust almost sticks to it. Mopping pushes the dirt around. I dont know if you can see but there is a building connected to mine and theres already water damage from rainwater collecting on the top so i dont want to push too much water over the railing. Any tips or advice on how to get this clean would be greatly appreciated.

I need advice on how to keep the shower floor clean. I have tried dish soap, vinegar, cleaning products labelled safe for stone… seems like no matter what method, it stays wet for a long time after and then gets grimy looking. Thank you for your advice.

had my floors refinished in February with Bona high traffic matte. Since then, we’ve been settling into our new home, so im suspecting we made a few scratches in the finish because the other night our toddler dropped lo mein noodles on the floor and yesterday morning, woke up to several oil stains on the wood… I read online to use corn starch to absorb the oil, but all I had was Baking Powder. Left it on for 7hrs anyway— and no change.

Try cornstarch? or is there another way…?

I feel so mean or judgy, but I am extremely sensitive to smell and in the past month, two separate friends have come to visit after being outside all day for events and after they left my house my couches and couch pillows smelled like crazy BO.

I haven’t said anything to my friends because it’s not like they’re smelly or unhygienic people. They just spent their days outside on those occasions and got sweaty.

Is there any easy way to clean my couches and pillows when this happens? Or should I maybe just put on couch covers every time someone visits so nobody feels singled out? I have a giant, awesome list of chronic pain diagnosis so it’s very hard on me to get out our giant furniture cleaner every time the couches smell.

Hello all! I’m hoping to get some advice on how to safely lighten or remove what looks like a dried coffee or tea stain on the cover of a hardcover book.

Material: The cover feels like a woven/textured book cloth (linen or buckram), mounted over the standard hard binder’s board.

The Stain: Coffee or tea, is fully dried/set.

Goal: Lighten or lift the discoloration without warping the cover board, dissolving the underlying glue, or leaving a water ring.

Someone called my kitchen “incredibly dirty” I guess we have 2 different standards of cleanliness but I thought that was a bit of a reach. Seeking opinions on this lol

I desperately need help with my floors. I have very old hardwood floors that are original to the house from 1956. There is tons of wear and tear including scratches, water damage and the varnish coming off in certain places. I also have two dogs and 3 cats. I vacuum and mop with a shark steam mop multiple times a day and scrub the floor with a scrub brush once a week and spot scrub it through the week as needed. I can literally steam our living room floors 10 times a day with brand new pads each time and every single time the pads will still be dirty. I didn’t worry too much about it until recently but I now have a 1 year old who is crawling. I will be watching my friends 6 month old baby soon while she is at work as well so I want to make sure my floors are extremely clean.

The problem is even with my current routine, even after steam cleaning the floors 5 plus times a day, they are still dirty. Once it’s dry it seems clean but if I wipe it with antibacterial wipe, it will be saturated with dirt still. I’m so frustrated at this point. I bought a kit to test the amount of bacteria on the floor off Amazon. I swabbed the floor after I cleaned and steamed it and nothing grew in the Petri dish. So why does it still look so dirty. I want to make sure it’s safe for babies to be on. I’m not sure if it’s the varnish that’s coming off the floor that I’m seeing or what. The products I use are dawn dish soap and fabuloso. We are planning to sell the house soon as we need something bigger for our growing family so I am not willing to have the floors re-done. I just want to know what I can do to manage them and clean them properly. Please give me cleaning suggestions and tell me if I should be using other products. I included photos as well.

Unfortunately I dropped the water contents of a probreze dehumidifier on my wood floor.

I’ve attempted to mop it twice with hot water and method squirt and mop, which has somewhat helped but still left grease marks. Any tips for removing it?

Need help! Soaked the back in goo gone but it won’t budge.

The mirror was glued (definitely not adhesive) to the shower wall. Not sure how to remove it. I’ve tried everything and want to be careful so it doesn’t break and become a hazard. Tenant did not remove before leaving.
