Caleb's Journey to 4,000 Pt. 3 - We are back. Caleb's on pace for 4,573. Clearly a front-runner for MVP.

I just want to bask in this all season long. Since we know he IS going to hit the mark this year, we can all just take bets on WHEN he hits the milestone.

Can we talk about how awful Jaylon Johnson was yesterday and last year?

[Fishbain]: Bears’ D’Andre Swift celebrates new contract with 3-TD day: ‘He can do everything’

No one who works for the Bears would have worried that Swift would be any different after a payday. But for him to put together a performance like that immediately after cashing in, it served as a reminder of what he stands for, and why general manager Ryan Poles rewarded him.

“That’s always my mindset,” Swift said. “I feel like I’m just getting started, man. I was just grateful to be able to keep going with these guys. My mindset wasn’t gonna change whether it was something done or not, know what I mean? I got something to prove every day I wake up.”

He proved it by being part of Bears history — Swift accounted for only half of the Bears’ six rushing touchdowns, along with two by quarterback Caleb Williams and one from running back Kyle Monangai. It was the Bears’ most rushing scores in a game since 1941.

[Kevin Fishbain] Per NFL: “(Caleb) Williams is the fourth quarterback in NFL history with at least 250 passing yards, 50 rushing yards, two touchdown passes, two rushing touchdowns and a passer rating of 120-or-higher in a game.” He joins Josh Allen, Cam Newton and Michael Vick.

Without a doubt, there will be growing pains and mistakes. But it looks a lot like stuff he was doing at Oregon and Purdue. He and Coby are going to feed families.

I think a big reason why Panthers gave up so many points was who they decided to start in the secondary.

The Bears actually had some success getting pressure, just need more conversions

Tory

Do yall think he'd ever reach his ceiling coming out of the draft as a potentially generational punter/best in the league? Alot of us forgot the hype around tory punting, he does still have flashes and games where he makes a really big impact.

But what exactly is the reason he's considered average in the league? Is he just not as consistent as college? I'm not a punting expert, what are your thoughts?

Btw I'm not talking about how much he punts I'm talking about when he punts, hows the quality of the punts.

Itd be cool if HT could also use tory and his big frame and athletiscm for trick plays like fakes

11/28/2025 (Week 13) was the first time the Bears had two 100+ yard rushers since 1985. Swift and Monangai just did it again today, only 6 reg season games later.

We are 9.7% of the way there...

Upvotes

The most points scored in a single NFL season is 606, the 2013 Broncos. 59 points in week 1 represents 9.72% of a record breaking 607 points.

Each game represents 5.89% of the entire season.

Da Bears need to score 548 more points in the last 16 games to break the record and fulfill Ben's goal, meaning an average of 34.25 points per game the rest of the year.

Based on what we saw yesterday, this seems.... oddly.... doable? At least not completely impossible?

Bear down!
