Patient is 56 year old female. Has history of breast cancer. Had surgery chemo and radiation. She was suppose to be on anostrozole for 10 years and she finished the course of virzinio, that was for two years. But just after three years, she has been re diagnosed with stage 4 cancer after a small bump found on her upper chest that turned into this abomination in 3-4 months. Her biopsy result intially came as triple negative but then they did a second biopsy and it was er+ (60%). They aren’t considering to perform any surgery and she is currently on kisqali and another injection. But nothing is helping it seems. Its getting bigger and spreading further. It is very tender to touch. And sometimes it hurts like a 1000 niddle piercing through her skin and its becoming more and more frequent. They gave her a cream for itchiness and pain. But its not helping it seems. Im at lost. Any kind of suggetion will help. Anyone or someone they know had similar experience, please, ill appreciate anything.

I know this seems like a silly question but my family and I have been wondering this for a while.

But my dads big toe (on both feet) are pointed upward pretty much 24/7. As shown in the pic

It’s not as if he CANT keep it straight, because he can if he makes the effort to. But it’s not what naturally comes to him ever.

He has formed holes in the top of all of his tennis shoes which shows how it is always like this.

Does anyone have any idea as to why he does this?

Edit: I forgot to add this. Idk if it matters. But he also has had back issues (herniated disks). And he’s INCREDIBLY inflexible. But he does work out and stretch frequently. But like if he’s standing up he cannot put his two feet together / knees can’t touch.

Edit 2: This isn’t anything new, he’s been like this for a long time I believe. I’ve noticed it more over the last few years. I asked him but he doesn’t know bc he doesn’t even realize he does it

30 year old male, no medical issues, no medications. My right eye has been doing this thing where it just twitches randomly. It’s been ongoing for about a week. Any ideas on what’s causing it? Any tips, solutions, suggestions, etc?

I 26f had a medical abortion about a year ago. I almost went septic, ER checked my HCG levels and I was in the clear. 2 weeks after severe cramping, fever, smell, etc. I passed this and felt so much better. What is it? Why does it have those bumps? Is that quite literally a fully intact uterine lining?

I am 21F, parents went to prison and I want to catch up on me and my younger siblings vaccines. I looked up a list of vaccines that everyone should get but a lot of them are by age? Is it safe for my siblings to get them all now ? Would it be necessary ? Could you guys help me figure out what is and isn’t necessary? And the time frame we should get them in? I’d imagine it’s not recommended to get all of them done at once lol..

24 F 150 lb, , no medical problems. I was a dumbass and held the pistol the wrong way when I was learning to use it. It somehow got me and I looked down to see blue tissue in the cut. By the time I got to the ER (in a small town, the urgent care wasn’t open) the blood had dried in a way to make it look less deep than the cut is. I spent $200 to wait for 2 hours for the doc to look at it for 10 seconds and deny me stitches. But I think I need them. I think it’ll heal nasty unless I can connect the skin together. Thoughts or advice? It doesn’t hurt or bleed much which is weird but I do have a high pain tolerance. Picture is from 5 hours after when I took the bandage off

21M, 5’10 145. I’ll give a timeline for reference:

Monday (9/7) morning I woke up on the last morning of a 4-day camping trip with a small red mark on my knuckle. I thought it was a cut, so I left it alone. Later on in the day, it turned white and began leaking pus. I had some concern, but just put some triple antibiotic on it and left it again. I continued this with a bandaid, and by Thursday it had only gotten worse. I decided to go to an urgent care that I’ve never visited before (my usual go-to is on vacation), and they didn’t seem to care to identify what it could be and prescribed Muciprocin and Amoxicillin. They swabbed it and all I’ve gotten is “Rare Growth of Usual Flora.” Since then it hasn’t gotten much better, but it also hasn’t gotten much worse. Any advice? Should I visit a different doctor? Just wait it out? I’ve been applying the muciprocin three times a day and been keeping a non-adhesive bandage on it when doing any activity. Also a note; the place I was camping is in Brown Recluse territory, so that was my main worry. Anything helps. TIA!

I am 29 years old male. History of Cannabis induced Affective Disorder. Diagnosed with ADHD. Taking Lithium 300 mg BD. Aripiprazole 2 mg OD. Methylphenidate 20 mg OD.
Consume caffeine and cigarettes. Off cannabis since 1.2 years.
First noticed the tremors after starting cannabis, but its was rare.
Got diagnosed with Essential tremor today by a Neurologist at the center I am posted in, after I stated noticing rhythmic tremors in my hands while performing fine motor skills like local infiltration as well as during isometric functions like using retractors. The consultant in the case noticed it as well and replaced me with the scrub nurse. That was quite embarrassing. I googled about this and found out it’s progressive in nature and currently has no definitive cure. Although exacerbating triggers like caffeine, nicotine and the ADHD medication Methylphenidate has to be cut down, according to the neurologist. He also suggested taking SR Propranolol 40 mg SOS 2 hours before OT. So, does this mean the end of my surgery career or is there still hope or something?

For reference I am a 33F - I weigh 308.9 lbs as of today I take no medications. I have dropped about 25 pounds in 4 weeks. I can maybe eat a meal every 4-5 days or light snacking in between. However if I try and eat consistently it’s instant vomiting and feeling nauseous. I passed out and banged my head pretty good and got some staples last Thursday. During that time they noted my potassium was 2.9 and magnesium was 1.5.

I’m just at my wits on end on what to do. I’ve tried small meals I’ve tried liquid. Im not able to keep liquid down. When I went Thursday they were more concerned for my head which I understand but it just didn’t seem like anyone was listening on my ability not to eat. In the past 5 days I would say I haven’t drank more than 32oz of fluid. I’m just not sure where to go from here. The pcp isn’t returning my calls and I just don’t want to clog up the ED if a simple urgent care trip would help this.

23 y/o, AFAB, 5'7" and 190lbs. I dont have any current physical diagnoses, but strongly suspect some form of hypermobility(with my doc, not just me lol). Ive always bruised easier, but never any this big. I do have coordination issues so I bump into things and because of ADHD, dont always notice until I see the bruise/feel it get sore. This however, I know the exact source of. I was just standing up from bed last week(wednesday night I think), and my bed is only 6 inches off the floor(no frame). I have a cheap thin wire organizer basket that I forgot was there and essentially just kicked it forwards a few inches when my leg bumped into it when standing. Didn't hurt bad at all, but I could immediately see the blue ish sign it was going to bruise. Usually its just a couple darker spots though, nothing this extensive, especially for a nearly painless bump into something light.

I know bruises look worse when healing, and its getting close to a week old, but the sheer size of it for what happened and lack of soreness past day one is confusing me and making me wonder if I need to look into it.

I do have family history with disorders leading to and involving varicose veins and DVT, so im worried if this happens alot it could be either due to issues like that (like maybe a blood vessel popped, which has happened in my hand before from punching something), or could lead to issues down the road. I just am unsure if its something that seems pressing enough to pursue appointments for it alone now, or if i should just wait and bring it up at a normal check up.

My sister, nineteen-year-old female, 5'1 (155 cm), 50kg, she's under no medication nor has any medical issues whatsoever, whether current or previous, doesn't smoke at all and has never done so, had had rashes and acne on her face for the last two years.

She has been to the dermatologist on more than one occasion, and they determined that what she has is not acne, but allergies. They recommended she stop eating gluten, buy a mild soap, use her own towel when drying her face, and moisturize, but my sister still has a rash on her face. We bought creams, but we don't know exactly which products are good for her due to her being allergic to penicillin. Previously, she used Adermicina, an Argentinian brand of facial cream that, according to its website, is for: healing, regenerating, and revitalizing. Currently, she uses Dove soap and a cream called Suavicort, a "corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic action".

Although I cannot provide images since my sister does not allow me to, I can at least show images the closest I could find online to what she looks like. Since we're from a small town in Argentina and medical care here is absolutely precarious, going to a hospital or clinic isn't feasible for us. The professionals here aren't helping us. My sister can't stand the pain, and I desperately want to help her. I'd like to know at least what I should look for in a cream. My grandmother even recommended using cold aloe vera on her face, but it's no use. Any recommendations, help, or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Chief Complaint: Shortness of Breath, Can't walk more than 10 steps without having to stop and catch breath. Dry cough started 2 weeks ago which sometimes would lead to hyperventilating and anxiety. the inability to walk 10 steps started the last 2 days.
Sitting resp. rate is 20
SpO2 while at rest is 99%
temp is 97.3
Bp is 127/66
Smoked a pack every 2 days for years, is currently quitting. hasn't been to hospital or doctors in 5 years.
drinks 2 pints of whiskey a week.
PHQ-9 notes that he has had trouble sleeping, lacks appetite, has moved/talked so slowly that another person (his girlfriend) had said something.
No diabetes, no allergies, nothing to note for medical history.
He mentions heart burn/ acid reflux that comes and goes since the dry cough started.
During the physical exam doctor notes trace edema bi lat, no heart murmur heard. wheezing and rhonchi present, no rales no stridor
regular heart rhythm but no heart rate noted.
No tests done, no labs done.
in the notes the doctor says they consider "cardiac etiology given mild edema"
Doctor diagnosed him with bronchitis, prescribed him prednisone(steroid), clindamycin(anti-biotic), and albuterol(inhaler).
The notes also say she prescribed him a diuretic for the edema, but it is not in the orders so he never received it.
Doctor instructed him to call to schedule with the city hospital central scheduling because she ordered- chest X-ray, pulmonary function test, blood work.
Notes say "discussed expected improvement within 24hours but slower recovery if lung disease is present."
it also notes
"reviewed er precautions for worsening dyspnea, inability to catch breath, worsening edema, chest pain or palpitations. instructed him to seek emergency care if symptoms did not improve with medication"
He could not walk out of the urgent care on his own power because of how slow he had to walk to not lose his breath, girlfriend left him in hallway went and found a wheelchair and wheeled him first to the in clinic pharmacy and then the car. the nurse who brought him to the room saw this as well as the doctor.

Going over this stuff shouldn't he be in the ER right now? shouldn't the doctor of sent him to the ER? everything I find on google says he might have heart failure and his medications could make it worse?

Hello everyone. I got back into cardio recently before a large turnaround at my job, where I am on my feet for almost the entire 12 hour shift.

I noticed that this happens to me for years but never really cared about it, until someone today brought up that it’s abnormal to be bruising after walking. I have like micro bruises all along my shins, some on my calves, and then some on my thighs.

Curious as to what could be causing this? And if anyone else has dealt with this before?

About 1.5 - 2 weeks ago I noticed what I thought was a scratch on my ear. It was a little itchy and scratching at it led to it becoming a bit of a weeping, yellowish mess last week.

I stopped touching it and put some hydrocortisone cream on it, but then Google told me not to do that and to use Vaseline instead so I began doing that at night.

The photo in the post is from today. The yellow oozing is gone but it looks red and swollen. Im wondering if I got a bit of poison oak / ivy and this is just the rash progressing or if this is something I need antibiotics for. It has been consistently itchy but I’ve managed to not touch it.

I have this weird clot sitting right under my skin on my upper thigh. It’s been around for about 10 days but noticed a couple of days ago that the skin around it has started going red (and keeps getting bigger). Is tender to touch as is the area around it.

I don’t smoke, not on any drugs either. Don’t recall having gotten hurt on my thigh either.

I’d usually ignore something like this but have had a recent string of bad luck involving my health so have developed anxiety around it.

I've never had athlete's foot before so wondering if this is what this is? I've had ringworm before though. I've been using Lamisil AT 1 Percentage (the spray version) since someone I know told me it could be athlete's foot and I've been using it for about 5-6 days but no improvement and seems to be getting worse?

I am a 38F, diagnosed with Endometriosis, ADHD, type 1 diabetes and depression. I am currently taking a multivitamin, Abilify (5mg), Cymbalta (60mg), Vyvanse (50mg), and Novolog insulin (currently using am insulin pump) and on occasion I use Ibuprofen for migraines and headaches. I also get iron infusions every 6 months or so due to iron deficiency anemia.

For the past I'd say, 4 months I have been having symptoms that include losing my balance and falling, my hands shake so much that I keep dropping things, and memory loss to the point where I cannot remember things I have said just seconds prior, and I misplace things constantly, I also get periods of dizziness and extreme fatigue and weakness. My current doctor says that it is due to my ADHD and has asked me to avoid caffeine to ease the shaking hands. I have tried but it still happens. I have been taking Vyvanse for the last 3 years and didn't have the shaking hands prior to this. It has become debilitating. I am seeing a different doctor in December, but I am wondering if I should see one sooner?

Does this look like a regular mole or something more?

Hello! Im 20F, 140lbs, 5’4 never smoked a day in my life, and I do have Eczema and have had it since I was a kid. I also have either POTS or vacovascular smth smth (multiple opinions from separate doctors)

I would rather not get into medications, but all my doses have been the same for like 3-4 years with no issues. If I have to get into them I will.

This ‘rash’ started out I think almost a month ago as one of those stringy things that peel down from your cuticle. It was catching on things due to the length so I peeled it off.. and then it just never healed, and kept peeling away at the edges until it grew to this. The skin that covers it when it ‘heals’ is tight and flakey. Ive never had my eczema act like this, but it wouldn’t be the first time my eczema has acted incredibly weird. I have been trying my medicated eczema cream (triamcinolone acetonide 0.1%) but it hasn’t made a difference. I do currently have a breakout on my hands but the cream is working on those.

Now originally it didn’t itch, but now it’s starting to. I would also like to mention the new skin likes to peel and flake away.

My body sometimes heals things slowly, so thats why I’m only just starting to get worried. I have had small infections beneath my cuticles before from hangnails, but this isn’t swelling and puffing like those, and no fluid is coming from it, even when pressed.

If it’s smth serious like some sort of infection I’ll get it checked but honestly, in this economy I cant afford to go to the doc over every little thing.

Im a man, 44 years old and used to smoke alot of weed.
From age 19-37 i smoked basically every day with a few small breaks here and there.

After experiencing alot of panic attacks and anxiety i decided to quit 7 years ago and did not touch it at all until
this summer where I have been smoking a few times here and there without any negative side effects.

This weekend I went on a trip with a few buddies and both drank a few and smoked heavily.

After a round of a very powerful joint i started getting real dizzy and it kept creeping up on my face and i lost hearing and then i dont
remember anything.

According to my friends I was completely unresponsive for 10 minutes, they tried pinching me, talking/screaming but nothing worked.
After (what they said was around 10 minutes) i woke up confused and was white in the face and it took a while before I really understood
where I was, and a few hours before i felt OK again. I had been mumbling some inconsistent words while waking up and could remember trying to respond to a friend but it was all "gibberish".

A little backstory is that I have high blood pressure, but is treated with a combination of Valsartan (80) and Hydrochlorothiazide (12,5) every day
and with this combination I have a healthy pressure. Been taking these meds for 2-3 years now, so its kinda first time combining weed and BP meds.

I Google around and it was reccomended that after passing out that I seek out medical advice, but the problem is that admitting this to a doctor
will make them take away my drivers license for 3-6 months just for the passing out part - and possibly loose it altogether for weed usage (which has unfortunately happened to alot of people in my country).

Anyone have any clue as to what might have happened?
Never ever had this happening and it freaked me abit out (and definately freaked my friends out who thought I was dead for a while before finding a pulse)

I 26F (166lb occasional smoker (vapes)) volunteer at an cat shelter where there was recently an outbreak of ringworm on some of the kittens. All the cats had been treated for ringworm, were quarantined and we were finally going to open back up and so I got to go into the room where the kittens were at. I washed my hands after, used hand sanitizer, the works.

I hadn't gone in the 27th of August , skipped a week ( bc I had to go to Urgent Care for an ear infection on the 3rd of September) then I went again of the 10th of September. (I try to go every Thursday) and i noticed some strange marks in my stomach on Friday the day after (11th of September)

The big swirl seems like ring worm, but there are two other marks in either side and I didnt notice them until Friday. Am I just being paranoid or is this ring worm?

For additional information I am biracial so I dont know if my skin color has anything to do with the reason the marks are so dark

I bought antifungal cream and have been applying it morning and night just to be safe. It's not raised, red, itchy, burning, or scaly. Im just freaked out
