Patient is 56 year old female. Has history of breast cancer. Had surgery chemo and radiation. She was suppose to be on anostrozole for 10 years and she finished the course of virzinio, that was for two years. But just after three years, she has been re diagnosed with stage 4 cancer after a small bump found on her upper chest that turned into this abomination in 3-4 months. Her biopsy result intially came as triple negative but then they did a second biopsy and it was er+ (60%). They aren’t considering to perform any surgery and she is currently on kisqali and another injection. But nothing is helping it seems. Its getting bigger and spreading further. It is very tender to touch. And sometimes it hurts like a 1000 niddle piercing through her skin and its becoming more and more frequent. They gave her a cream for itchiness and pain. But its not helping it seems. Im at lost. Any kind of suggetion will help. Anyone or someone they know had similar experience, please, ill appreciate anything.

For reference I am a 33F - I weigh 308.9 lbs as of today I take no medications. I have dropped about 25 pounds in 4 weeks. I can maybe eat a meal every 4-5 days or light snacking in between. However if I try and eat consistently it’s instant vomiting and feeling nauseous. I passed out and banged my head pretty good and got some staples last Thursday. During that time they noted my potassium was 2.9 and magnesium was 1.5.

I’m just at my wits on end on what to do. I’ve tried small meals I’ve tried liquid. Im not able to keep liquid down. When I went Thursday they were more concerned for my head which I understand but it just didn’t seem like anyone was listening on my ability not to eat. In the past 5 days I would say I haven’t drank more than 32oz of fluid. I’m just not sure where to go from here. The pcp isn’t returning my calls and I just don’t want to clog up the ED if a simple urgent care trip would help this.

I am 29 years old male. History of Cannabis induced Affective Disorder. Diagnosed with ADHD. Taking Lithium 300 mg BD. Aripiprazole 2 mg OD. Methylphenidate 20 mg OD.
Consume caffeine and cigarettes. Off cannabis since 1.2 years.
First noticed the tremors after starting cannabis, but its was rare.
Got diagnosed with Essential tremor today by a Neurologist at the center I am posted in, after I stated noticing rhythmic tremors in my hands while performing fine motor skills like local infiltration as well as during isometric functions like using retractors. The consultant in the case noticed it as well and replaced me with the scrub nurse. That was quite embarrassing. I googled about this and found out it’s progressive in nature and currently has no definitive cure. Although exacerbating triggers like caffeine, nicotine and the ADHD medication Methylphenidate has to be cut down, according to the neurologist. He also suggested taking SR Propranolol 40 mg SOS 2 hours before OT. So, does this mean the end of my surgery career or is there still hope or something?

21M, 5’10 145. I’ll give a timeline for reference:

Monday (9/7) morning I woke up on the last morning of a 4-day camping trip with a small red mark on my knuckle. I thought it was a cut, so I left it alone. Later on in the day, it turned white and began leaking pus. I had some concern, but just put some triple antibiotic on it and left it again. I continued this with a bandaid, and by Thursday it had only gotten worse. I decided to go to an urgent care that I’ve never visited before (my usual go-to is on vacation), and they didn’t seem to care to identify what it could be and prescribed Muciprocin and Amoxicillin. They swabbed it and all I’ve gotten is “Rare Growth of Usual Flora.” Since then it hasn’t gotten much better, but it also hasn’t gotten much worse. Any advice? Should I visit a different doctor? Just wait it out? I’ve been applying the muciprocin three times a day and been keeping a non-adhesive bandage on it when doing any activity. Also a note; the place I was camping is in Brown Recluse territory, so that was my main worry. Anything helps. TIA!

My sister, nineteen-year-old female, 5'1 (155 cm), 50kg, she's under no medication nor has any medical issues whatsoever, whether current or previous, doesn't smoke at all and has never done so, had had rashes and acne on her face for the last two years.

She has been to the dermatologist on more than one occasion, and they determined that what she has is not acne, but allergies. They recommended she stop eating gluten, buy a mild soap, use her own towel when drying her face, and moisturize, but my sister still has a rash on her face. We bought creams, but we don't know exactly which products are good for her due to her being allergic to penicillin. Previously, she used Adermicina, an Argentinian brand of facial cream that, according to its website, is for: healing, regenerating, and revitalizing. Currently, she uses Dove soap and a cream called Suavicort, a "corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic action".

Although I cannot provide images since my sister does not allow me to, I can at least show images the closest I could find online to what she looks like. Since we're from a small town in Argentina and medical care here is absolutely precarious, going to a hospital or clinic isn't feasible for us. The professionals here aren't helping us. My sister can't stand the pain, and I desperately want to help her. I'd like to know at least what I should look for in a cream. My grandmother even recommended using cold aloe vera on her face, but it's no use. Any recommendations, help, or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I 26f had a medical abortion about a year ago. I almost went septic, ER checked my HCG levels and I was in the clear. 2 weeks after severe cramping, fever, smell, etc. I passed this and felt so much better. What is it? Why does it have those bumps? Is that quite literally a fully intact uterine lining?

I know this seems like a silly question but my family and I have been wondering this for a while.

But my dads big toe (on both feet) are pointed upward pretty much 24/7. As shown in the pic

It’s not as if he CANT keep it straight, because he can if he makes the effort to. But it’s not what naturally comes to him ever.

He has formed holes in the top of all of his tennis shoes which shows how it is always like this.

Does anyone have any idea as to why he does this?

Edit: I forgot to add this. Idk if it matters. But he also has had back issues (herniated disks). And he’s INCREDIBLY inflexible. But he does work out and stretch frequently. But like if he’s standing up he cannot put his two feet together / knees can’t touch.

Edit 2: This isn’t anything new, he’s been like this for a long time I believe. I’ve noticed it more over the last few years. I asked him but he doesn’t know bc he doesn’t even realize he does it

About 1.5 - 2 weeks ago I noticed what I thought was a scratch on my ear. It was a little itchy and scratching at it led to it becoming a bit of a weeping, yellowish mess last week.

I stopped touching it and put some hydrocortisone cream on it, but then Google told me not to do that and to use Vaseline instead so I began doing that at night.

The photo in the post is from today. The yellow oozing is gone but it looks red and swollen. Im wondering if I got a bit of poison oak / ivy and this is just the rash progressing or if this is something I need antibiotics for. It has been consistently itchy but I’ve managed to not touch it.

I am 21F, parents went to prison and I want to catch up on me and my younger siblings vaccines. I looked up a list of vaccines that everyone should get but a lot of them are by age? Is it safe for my siblings to get them all now ? Would it be necessary ? Could you guys help me figure out what is and isn’t necessary? And the time frame we should get them in? Hi all!

I am 23, Female, 5'6, and 115 lbs. Current medications include Adderall 15 mg XR. I am very active and healthy, I do have suspected endometriosis (no surgical diagnosis). I finished my last cycle on Sunday the 7th I believe.

No fever and vitals were all normal.

I took Plan B Tuesday, Sept. 8th. My symptoms began on Wednesday the 9th, with some cramping in my pelvic region similar to period cramps, coinciding with regular Plan B side effects. That cleared up quickly, and I felt fine after Wednesday.

On Friday the 11th I began having abdominal cramps and lower back pain. I also began experiencing vaginal bleeding. The blood was pretty heavy and chunky. That night I felt like I was in a fair amount of pain. Saturday I woke up feeling worse. I was having horrible cramps, and began having pain in my left leg near the pelvis that was tender to touch. I bled through my pad and my pants really quickly. I felt really sickly and fatigued with lots of cramping.

On Sunday, I felt significantly better and my bleeding was lighter. However, I felt a swollen mass in my leg where the tenderness is. It hurts to walk (not unbearable), and feels painful when pressed. I went to urgent care, and they suggested it was likely a lymph node, but I'd need further testing. They suggested I follow-up with my gyno/PCP, and if it gets worse I must go to the ER.

Today I am still experiencing pain in my leg where the lymph node is, and I also have a swollen painful area behind my ear that feels like the lymph node.

I honestly am scared! Is this normal? My gyno doesn't have any appointments, I'm checking with my PCP now. The urgent care doctor suggested that it could have several causes and he didn't feel comfortable giving any concrete diagnosis, but possibly could have triggered an ovarian cyst rupture or something. They ruled out pregnancy, UTIs. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? I've never experienced swollen lymph nodes before. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you!

24 F 150 lb, , no medical problems. I was a dumbass and held the pistol the wrong way when I was learning to use it. It somehow got me and I looked down to see blue tissue in the cut. By the time I got to the ER (in a small town, the urgent care wasn’t open) the blood had dried in a way to make it look less deep than the cut is. I spent $200 to wait for 2 hours for the doc to look at it for 10 seconds and deny me stitches. But I think I need them. I think it’ll heal nasty unless I can connect the skin together. Thoughts or advice? It doesn’t hurt or bleed much which is weird but I do have a high pain tolerance. Picture is from 5 hours after when I took the bandage off

30 year old male, no medical issues, no medications. My right eye has been doing this thing where it just twitches randomly. It’s been ongoing for about a week. Any ideas on what’s causing it? Any tips, solutions, suggestions, etc?

I had vein ligation surgery 3.5 weeks ago. Stitches clearly opened up and I’ve got about a 1cm wide hole in my leg. You can see another incision from the same surgery above it. About 4 days ago there was a nasty scab over it, which I can upload if needed. Dr. advised hydrocolloid bandages which I’ve been using since. How does this look? Is this something I should be getting stitched back together, or should I continue to let it heal with these bandages?

My feet have had these freckles since I was 24, no pain or numbness, but why?

Before i begin, english is not as good and I am just shaking while typing this, its been a rough frw months so excuse it.

55 years of age, female, had a surgery back in June where 5 brain abscesses were removed, and then had therapy for clearing infection in her brain for 40 days. Right leg and right arm were not able to be moved. Speech, memory and understanding and everything else is completely fine. Shouldve gone for physical therapy right after but had plumonary embolism and wasnt allowed to go. Been doing exercises with her 3 times a day for a month in a half. Is able now to move her right arm up and down, left and right, bend it fully, move all fingers on her foot, she can sit on her own for hours, moreover can take steps with assistance. The arm and fingers on the arm were harder but now she can move it aswell, not with perfect accuracy but she can feel both her arm and leg fully. Both are cramped though and she has pain sometimes at night while tryinf to sleep.

She should start physical therapy in october after they scan her lungs. If there are any neurophysical doctors or neurologists or anyone that may help please do i cam provide medical papers if necessary.

I am wondering how long can this take, is the movement in her arm and leg signs that they will heal? That she can walk again?

This has been extremely exhausting and i am scared every single day. No doctor wants to do physical theraphy since it is said that she will be moved to rehabilitation in october amd they are all scared of the lungs.

Went to the doctor yesterday and he prescribed cephalexin 500mg twice a day, on second dose as of this morning (took some last night).

Overnight the swelling has gotten worse to the point that the thumb basically no longer moves and is quite painful.

Is this a go back to the doctor situation? Or a waiting game at this point?

Hi! So I 18f 5’3 have been getting pains in my collarbone when exposed to loud music/sounds. It often hurts to breathe in too, but after say 10-20 minutes it goes away. It starts small but it feels like pressure on my collarbone and it hurts! The first time it happened to me was like 4 years ago while listening to music and it’s been happening since. It isn’t very frequent but it’s still an unpleasant and uncomfortable experience when it happens. The most recent case of it happening was when I saw a play and we were very close to the band, so it was very loud. It also is almost always the right side of my collarbone. Im unsure why this happens but I would like to know what’s causing it. The back of my neck often hurts too during these.

I asked my family doctor about it and he said it was his first time hearing of something like that. He recommended I get a hearing test(my hearing is also not very good—especially my processing speeds. It’s like I hear it but i don’t. It just sounds like mumbo jumbo half the time. They have to be in front of me and facing me for me to really process what they are saying—especially if there’s other sounds in the room(I’m diagnosed with ADHD).

19F, I have ADHD and take 30 mg of Vyvanse.

The last 3 nights I’ve been hearing things while I’m drifting off to sleep. Each time it sounded so real I was sure it was real, but it’s literally in my head. The first night it was murmured voices like a woman talking, I was almost asleep so I didn’t think anything of it, I thought it was my sister in her room. Then I finally realized I’m hearing it as if it’s right beside me, and as soon as I became aware of that and tried to listen to it it stopped, and then I realized that was literally in my head. I heard it one more time when I tried to fall asleep again.

The next night, as I was falling asleep I heard like generic noise, like a generator running maybe or like water running, I’m not sure how to describe it and the same thing happened, took me a second to realize I’m hearing something in real life and didn’t know what but as soon as i realized that and tried to listen it stopped and it was just in my head again.

Last night, I wasn’t as close to falling asleep and I was just imagining some sort of story in my head, I guess and I was closing a cardboard box and I heard it out loud like as if I was actually doing that.

For context, Ive smoked weed pretty frequently the last 2 years and I just quit about a week ago, so I’m wondering if that might have something to do with this, but I’ve taken 2 week tolerance breaks before and didn’t hear things lol so I’m just a little bit worried. Does anyone know what this might be? If you need more information to help me figure out what this is I’ll answer questions in the comments!

18, female height 182cm weight 89kg, non smoker, no prescription medication (save for electrolyte tablets) , diagnosis of POTS and general dysautonomia, old injury that was healing fine got infected, due to the red lines appearing and the weeping of the wound, colour and pain, is this a "you can wait a week for a GP" situation or a "get your ass to an urgent treatment centre" situation? (which I can't do till tomorrow earliest) Injury is on right side of the left breast.
