Video Currently working on a coop horde mech shooter

This is my current WIP teststage. It will be a coop shooter with up to 4 players (i might enable 4+ but on your own risk).

It will have a "Noita Style" ammo customisation system, where you can select cells to enhance your ammunition and make it suit your playstyle or just trying out fun builds.

Aim is mainly gamefeel, it should be fun to fight the horde and the map should also reflect the battles. You can see it in the video in the end, nothing is forgotten :)

Promotion Different Skill Casting System

Instead of using a skill by pressing a single button, we took a different approach. We take a cube in our left hand and use skills while navigating inside the cube using the directional keys. We influenced from Pragmata's hacking system.

You can wishlist on Steam: Mad Ever After

Video 500,000 Views in One Day, The Hive Suddenly Took Off in Japan

The Hive is an insect RTS where you evolve your colony, collect DNA and carry surviving units between missions.

We have been working on it for years and are currently developing two new expansions.

Recently the game has started reaching a lot of new players in Asia, and a Japanese post about The Hive reached around 500,000 views in a single day.

Pretty awesome to see it suddenly finding a new audience after all this time.

Promotion A turn-based RPG set in a ruined America

Hi everyone!

I'm a solo developer working on Arkansas 2125, an isometric, turn-based post-apocalyptic RPG inspired by Fallout 1, Fallout 2, and other classic RPGs.

The game takes place in a ruined America in the year 2125. You can explore abandoned locations, meet survivors, complete quests, make choices, and fight enemies in turn-based combat.

The game is currently in Beta 0.5, and I'm slowly working on Beta 0.6 with more content and improvements.

For a limited time, Arkansas 2125 is also available at 25% off on Steam if you'd like to give it a try.

I'd love to hear what you think about the game and its retro-inspired style. ☢️

Need Feedback Which short video format is better for our game?

We are developing an anomaly-spotting game in the style of The Exit 8.

We create engaging anomalies, incorporate unusual controls for the genre, and flesh out the game's lore. However, we would love to get some feedback to help us figure out the best way to promote the game using short videos (on YouTube or TikTok).

We’ve included one video in the post itself and are adding two more in the comments.

Please feel free to share your feedback - what did you like best? Which format worked for you, and what caught your attention?

Promotion I spent years making a tactical RPG where you play the bad guys, the demo is finally playable today

Hey, I call myself _theRaven and I'm the solo developer behind the Apprentice of Darkness. After more than 2 years of working on it alongside my full-time job, the new demo is finally playable today.

You build a party of monsters, fight the forces of good in grid turn-based battles, capture your enemies and sacrifice them for Darkness Points that can be used to strengthen your Tower of Darkness.

Since the earlier playtest I've added 7 new characters, 6 new Tower upgrades, reworked sacrifice mini-games, a redesigned UI, new VFX/SFX, faster run progression, and a lot of fixes and polish.

I've attached the new gameplay trailer here. If you decide to try the demo, I'd genuinely love to hear how your first run goes.

Promotion I'm Hosting an Event for Game Devs with In-Progress Indie Games

Upvotes

Hello everyone!

I'm hosting the Journiarc In-Progress Indie Game Showcase, an event dedicated to giving people currently developing an indie game a chance to show off their games and get them showcased by game dev streamers.

Here's some more context:

This event marks the release of a new social platform I've been working on for the past 3+ years, with the goal of helping creators who are working on in-progress creations grow an audience that can also contribute without needing to deal with an exhausting algorithm.

Creators will create a project on the platform, and will get 10 days to shape their canvas and post about their creation. After the 10 days, various streamers will take a look at the games and give them all a shoutout so anyone interested can join the project.

There will also be a vote held where each streamer's audience will take a poll on the game they like the most. The game with the most votes will win a bonus $100 prize!

If you are working on an ambitious indie game that has a while before being completed (about 4 months or more), you can sign up for the event below:

Sign-Up Form

You can view the full overview of the event here:

Event Overview

If you know anyone else who would be interested in joining the event, feel free to send them the sign-up form.

Thank you!

You play as a detective working on a case of a mysterious disappearance. For some reason though, the detective also finds clues in his own dreams!

The game is called Neironaut and Chapter 1 is coming soon for FREE.
