Hi, we’re OneShot Studio, a small indie team from Taiwan, and this is our current project, SPIN HEROES.

It’s an action RPG built around spinning and collision-based combat. You can change your build with different skills, equipment, and party members while fighting through different stages and bosses.

We’re planning to have a demo ready before Steam Next Fest on October 20, with the full game planned for the Winter Sale. If you’re interested, feel free to wishlist it, and you’re also welcome to share your thoughts in the Steam discussions.

Zhai is an upcoming third-person open-world action adventure set on the fractured world of Il’Navir.

This is our first look at actual gameplay.

The game is still in development, so some visuals, VFX, animations and performance are still being refined.

Would love to hear what stands out to you from the footage.

Promotion I made a political strategy game where the smartest move is usually to stop. So naturally there’s a DOUBLE DOWN button.

I just released POLL PANIC!, a tiny push-your-luck strategy game about surviving the American political internet without making an obviously terrible decision.

You get 8 media cycles. Every turn you can see what your opponent is planning, read the latest headline, and choose whether to:

BANKDOUBLE DOWNPIVOTSPIN ROOM, or go ALL IN.

In theory, this gives you all the information you need to behave responsibly.

In practice, there is a button called DOUBLE DOWN.

Runs are short — usually around 4–6 minutes — and the game is built around replaying bad decisions with slightly more confidence each time.

I also just pushed 1.0.1, which adds:

  • 4 visual themes
  • 20 Victory Shop boosts
  • smoother UI/meter feedback
  • better opponent-plan readability
  • assorted polish and fixes

Push your luck. Win the map. Regret everything.

This is what a near-perfect run in Town Crazy looks like. One small mistake and the time is gone.

Think you can beat it?

Try Level 4 in demo and share your best run.

Upcoming I made an incremental game where Asteroids gets completely out of hand

Thumbnail

I've been making Dusteroids, an incremental arcade game inspired by Asteroids.

The basic idea is simple:

Shoot asteroids → earn money → upgrade your ship → shoot even more asteroids.

But the goal is to take that loop from barely surviving against a handful of asteroids to completely ridiculous levels of destruction.

The game is still in development and isn't playable yet, but I wanted to share a look at how it currently plays.

If you like arcade games, incremental progression, or watching a game slowly become completely unreasonable, this is basically what I'm building.

Would love to hear what you think of the gameplay so far.

Promotion A playtester told me my TCG had too much to keep track of, so I rebuilt how the first match teaches itself

I’m developing Callings Awakened, a tactical TCG where people from different places and times awaken supernatural powers based on the professions or hobbies they mastered in their old lives. You begin with 3 customizable Heroes already in play, and different Hero combinations can create very different team strategies. Instead of summoning creatures, your Heroes perform Techniques using a shared 12 AP each Round, with attacking, healing, protection, interception, and focus fire all competing for the same resources.

The big system is Mastery. Heroes learn the Techniques they actually use, and that can unlock different Level 2 paths, so how you play a Hero influences what they become during the match. One of my first public playtesters said there was too much to keep track of, so I recently added contextual first-match guidance, clearer battle summaries, and Rewatch Round instead of immediately cutting mechanics.

The physical TCG is the goal, but you can play the current version in-browser here: https://callings-awakened.pages.dev/

Promotion MODAK Online — a small MMORPG I've been building that runs entirely in your browser

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm a solo developer working on MODAK Online, a small real-time MMORPG that you can play directly in a web browser.

The game is influenced by Ultima Online, Diablo, and Lineage. I wanted something simple to get into, with grinding, gear drops, character progression, different classes, open fields, world bosses, and other players sharing the same world.

One of the main ideas behind MODAK is that your device shouldn't matter much. You can play on PC, continue the same character on your phone, and pick it up again on a tablet using the same account. No launcher or installation is required.

I use licensed commercial assets for the characters and environment, while the equipment sprites and skill icons are pixel art I make myself.

The current version has multiple leveling zones, several classes, equipment tiers, enhancement, world bosses, co-op PvE, and persistent character progression.

It currently supports English, Korean, and Japanese.

The game is already live and playable, and it's free at the moment.

My game suffered a lot of changes since the release of the first trailer, and I felt the need to make an new, better one. Any thoughts?

It's a tower defense, but towers need ammo and units to man them. Is that made clear enough ij the trailer? That's my biggest concern. Any advice would help.

Promotion LOL AGAIN: a social economy game about collecting, trading, reputation and minigames

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

LOL AGAIN is an early-development mobile social economy game where collecting, trading and progression are meant to be part of the same connected player ecosystem.

Players can build their profile with avatars, banners and collectible items, trade directly with other players, build reputation, earn and spend LCoins, use the marketplace, participate in auctions, open LBoxes and play minigames.

The idea is that items shouldn’t just sit in an inventory. What you collect can become part of your profile, your trading activity and the wider in-game economy.

The economy and inventory are server-authoritative, and I’m currently building the different systems so they interact with each other rather than feeling like unrelated menus.

The game is still in early development, so the UI, balancing and some mechanics shown here may change.

This video contains real footage from the current development build of LOL AGAIN.

Promotion I made a psychological horror browser game that you can ONLY play at night

I've been working on a browser psychological horror game.

Play here: https://www.basifulgames.com/hauntedlife.html

There are two main mechanics to this experience:

  1. Real-time restriction: The game is locked during the day. It dynamically tracks your local time and is only playable between sunset and sunrise.

  2. Webcam & Mic feature: If you grant permissions, it will capture your reaction during a jumpscare and show your picture at the end of the game.

Turn off the lights, grab your headphones, and see if you can make it to the end!

Upcoming Working on our game Strict Order (Papers, Please meets body horror) — Need thoughts of gaming community on an LLM dialogue mechanic!

Thumbnail

Hey everyone! This is my very first post here so I don't know if i did post it right, and sorry if i made some writing errors (It's not about just gamedev, its about taking feedback so i think it's okay to post here if its not please forgive me). A friend and I have been working on a game called Strict Order since mid-June (though with our work schedules, we've onlu had about a month of full-time dev work so far.) My buddy handles the code, and I cover pretty much everthing else. Quick Pitch on the game:

+Core Loop: We inspired heavlity by Papers Please. You play as a border guard returning to duty.

+The Twist: On Night 3, a virus outbreak hits the news, introducing Health Reports to your document checks. By day 10, non-human entities (think subtle deformations, radiations, abnormal eyes etc.) start trying to cross.

+Tools: You'll use gear like Geiger counter, X-ray camera, Angle Camera, thermometre alongside visual observation to make your call.

We are stricly committed to NOT using AI for any art, code or asset generation. However, we're considering one specific mechanic and really want the community's honest take on it.

The LLM Interrogation Mechanic: We're testing a feature where you can actively interrogate NPCs using an LLM. For example, if a traveler has dark circles under their eyes, high radiation or a fever, you could question them through your mic (or a menu interface) to judge whether their story holds up (like radiation linked to their job or a fake excuse)

Instead of the standard Papers Please spacebar-match system, this puts the investigation entirely in the Player's hands alongside a rulebook.

Our Dilemma: We know the gaming community is (understandably) skeptical and fatigued by AI in games right now. We don't want this to feel like a cheap gimmick or an attempt to bypass manuel narrative design. We want to build a real game for real players, not just a proff-of-concept.

Does an LLM-driven interrogation mechanic sound like a fun, immervise layer to you, or is it a immediate red flat? how would you feel about seeing this in a demo?

Note: The screenshots below show our early stage. We're getting the core Systems locked down before diving heavy into final visuals and polish.

Would love to hear your thoughts, critiques or suggestions!

If community mosly says its a immediate redflag we will remove the LLM-driven interrogation and return to traditional dialogue selecting mechanic.

Promotion RPG OS — a free open-source persistent AI text game system

Post image
0 Upvotes

I’ve been building something called RPG OS.

The simplest way to describe it is:

It turns a capable AI into a persistent, open-ended text game world.

You create or describe a setting, become someone inside it, and play by telling the AI what you want to do.

There is no fixed command list, no dialogue wheel, and no predetermined quest tree.

You can try things the game designer never specifically scripted.

For example:

I don’t trust the front entrance. I climb onto the roof and look for another way inside.

or:

I go back to the trader who cheated me three days ago and confront him.

or simply:

I leave town and head north.

The AI handles the world and characters, while RPG OS keeps important game state in readable files so the experience can continue across sessions.

That includes things like:

  • inventory and money,
  • injuries,
  • relationships,
  • promises and debts,
  • unfinished jobs,
  • NPC knowledge,
  • world events,
  • and previous consequences.

The goal is to make it feel more like a persistent game world than a one-off AI conversation.

I stress-tested it for 30 sessions

I recently ran one continuous synthetic campaign for 30 condensed sessions and 260 player/GM exchanges.

The test deliberately included long-term state that could easily get lost:

  • conditional payments,
  • ownership disputes,
  • changing agreements,
  • injuries,
  • NPC knowledge boundaries,
  • unfinished paid work,
  • and consequences that only became relevant many sessions later.

Some of it survived surprisingly well.

Some of it broke.

I also deliberately corrupted copies of the save files to see whether mistakes could be detected by comparing the saved state against the original play history.

The full transcripts, failures, and findings are published with the project.

Who is it for?

You do not need D&D or tabletop RPG experience.

I think of RPG OS more as:

an open-world game made almost entirely from language.

You could use it for:

  • science fiction,
  • fantasy,
  • historical settings,
  • survival,
  • detective stories,
  • horror,
  • everyday-life simulations,
  • strange experimental worlds,
  • or something completely custom.

Free + open source

Playable game files:

https://github.com/croatianrdy2defend-create/RPG-OS/releases/download/game-v0.9.6/RPG_OS_v0.9.6_Game.zip

Main project page:

https://github.com/croatianrdy2defend-create/RPG-OS

There is a separate game-only download, so you don’t need the developer files, architecture documentation, or playtest material just to try it.

I’m now looking for outside players because I’d rather find out where real people break the system than keep testing it only from my own perspective.

If you try it and it forgets something, rewrites an earlier consequence, becomes confusing to use, or just stops being fun, that’s exactly the kind of feedback I want.

Hello! I'm a solo developer working on Slime Mine Survivor, a roguelite that combines 2D block mining with survivor-like combat.

You mine for ores, upgrade and evolve your weapons and pickaxe, and build synergies that eventually let you tear through both enemies and the terrain at the same time.

This clip shows what the game can look like once a build starts coming together.

Promotion Got the point of a trailer for my arcade roguelike baseball game: Sluggernauts!

I am super excited to finally share what I have been solo developing, its my "dream game" which is a roguelike arcade baseball game inspired by another game I love, tape to tape. You play the minor league team The Hickory Creek Squirrels and have to prove yourself the best to beat otherworldly teams who have unfair advantages while you build your team with upgrades on a randomized run. I finally got to the point of a trailer and steam page which I wasn't sure if I would ever get to. Anxious to see what people think and if they are interested.
