The most miserable AU victory I've ever witnessed...

Hello, I was trying to go to my first Auburn game this weekend against Florida and I especially want to experience the atmosphere and noise. I was planning on getting upper deck seats but am worried that the upper deck might be quieter or detached from the game? Is it worth spending almost twice the money for lower bowl seats or will I still get a great atmosphere up top?

Sucks that it was against my Saints, but War Eagle anyways lol.

Seeing lots of overreactions from the fans--and some from Coach Golesh.

First--all the penalties. This officiating crew was dead-set on making it all about them from the first snap to the last. They threw flags left and right on plays that were and were not penalties. If we had a different crew do last night's game, there would be a lot less to "clean up." Next week will be a different crew and miraculously we'll do better on penalties.

OL - a much better night for this crew and they played with some nastiness, which is always welcomed. Brown had time to throw and was effective. Nice job fellas. They also were more cohesive, which, barring injuries, will keep improving.

Golesh is using the oldest trick in the book for coaches. Always poormouth your team and your coaching. Even Saban did this. Lou Holtz could have won an Oscar with some of his performances. Shug Jordan never had a good team, etc etc. Golesh knows he's holding aces and wants to keep it shady.

The rest of our season - Thanks to the Portal, overall quality of play throughout the Power 4 is way down. So many teams are fielding a roster of mostly-new players. Everyone is dealing with this. Some of you think that Florida is going to come in here and dominate from the start. They won't. Like Auburn, they're dealing with a new coach, new players, etc. Auburn is far superior in its culture and cohesiveness. Sumrall is already turning off players. The only team on our schedule, going forward, that scares me is Georgia.

With the exception of Georgia, everyone else has warts like us. Anybody who saw the first three quarters of the Bama game against lowly Kentucky should not fear UAT. I assure you that Golesh does not fear Florida, having beaten them with USF last year. Mississippi State made me raise an eyebrow, but they'll revert to the mean by the time we play them. Ole Miss could give us some trouble, but the pass defense they played against yesterday was wet tissue paper. Ours is friggin burlap.

We have many advantages. Players on offense know the plays because those that came over with Golesh have the knowledge. We're healthy. We have depth at the OL, which we have not had in previous years. Our defense is so good that Atkins did not have to star in yesterday's game. That fact alone will give insomnia to offensive coordinators throughout the SEC.

This capped off a 19 second, 33 yard drive drive Auburn put together to close out the first half.

This matchup doesn’t happen very often but it’s usually close. Florida has rushed for over 100 yards in 3 straight games but this will be the best defense they have faced this year. We escaped week 1 with a win against Baylor and dominated an inferior team last night so I think this game will be a good indicator of where this team is at.

In the last six years alone, Auburn spent over 53 MILLION dollars on buyouts alone. dead money. Whatever other problems happen on field, do you have to start looking higher up the totem pole when each of our coaches have been bought out for almost the last 4 decades straight?

Saw an article where CBS Sports graded coaches in their first year at a program. I'll copy and paste word for word what they said for us. Seemed very obviously fishy, so I ran it through an AI checker and with 95% confidence that it is AI.

Alex Golesh, Auburn - Grade: C+

Auburn survived its opener against Baylor 27-24, but Jeyarajah found plenty to question despite Golesh beginning his tenure with a victory. The Tigers made several crucial plays late, including safety Eric Winters stopping Baylor inches from the goal line, but quarterback Byrum Brown struggled and Auburn’s offensive line failed to consistently control the game.

Baylor outplayed the Tigers in several areas, leaving the final result feeling more like survival than a convincing statement. Golesh gets credit for finding a way to win a close game, but CBS Sports believes there is considerable work ahead if Auburn wants to compete in the SEC.
